For the past two and a half years, his wife Emma has been running village tearooms named Morley Tearooms.
Taking to Instagram, she confirmed the end of her time in the premises.
Emma re-shared a story from the tearooms' account, which read: "End of Morley Tearooms but the beginning of something even better.
"It's been a pleasure......
"When we move, we move together. Can't wait to update and see you all very soon xxx. Em."
Emma previously took to Facebook and addressed leaving the tearooms behind.
She wrote: "So, it's true…. My time at the Tea rooms has unfortunately come to an end.
"I decided to leave due to the new lease not suiting my requirements. It was verbally agreed that I stay until the end of summer."
But she's since been told that she needs to leave 'a lot sooner,' and her final trading day was set for June 29.
She continued: "I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the outpouring of love I've received over the last couple of days. It's been extremely humbling and heartwarming to have the support from all of you, you have no idea what it has meant to me.
Coronation Street's Simon Gregson shares health update with fans
"I've started to take all of your details so I can take you all on my new adventure which will be bigger and better and just down the road. So this is not the end, and this certainly isn't goodbye.
"I hope you'll all follow me onto this next exciting project which I'll update you all on soon. In the meantime, I hope to see you all in the next couple of weeks."
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Simon was being investigated over the collapse of his production firm, which saw him owing £165,000 to the tax office and a bank.
Liquidators called in to break up Simon Gregson Productions Ltd filed a report on the soap star's conduct to the Government.
They demanded repayment of £252,000 taken from the firm's coffers and paid into a separate account controlled by the actor - and number crunchers working on the liquidation concluded in official papers there were no further avenues to go down to reclaim the actor's debt.
The soap favourite faced losing his house over the closure of his company.
History of the Coronation Street set
By Jake Penkethman, TV Reporter
1960-1968 - Whilst the Coronation Street set remained on Quay Street for 53 years, it actually had three separate studio sites. The first was an entirely indoor wooden set which was used for the first eight years of filming. This encompassed a replica of the Street built entirely indoors. The set was known to be awkward for actors to use and the houses brought to three quarter scale.
1968-1982 - In 1968, the addition of an outdoor set was created to adjoin the existing indoor set which was still used for filming right up until 1982. The set was used only when required with many of the show's cast reportedly hating it and describing it as 'the coldest place on Earth'.
1982-2013 - A brand new set was officially constructed in 1982 and was almost built fully to scale but still only permitted for one car to drive down the cobbled street. The house were purpose-built using reclaimed Salford brick in order to give it the most authentic feel possible. During these years, some of the show's buildings were adapted to allow for both interior and exterior filming at the same time. These locations included Elliott's Butchers, Barlow's Buys, Prima Doner and Webster's Autos. The final scenes to be recorded on this site occurred in December 2013. By early 2014, it began operating as a tourist attraction for around two years before ultimately being demolished and re-purposed in 2017.
2014-present - In early 2014, the show's set moved to the TV hub of the North - MediaCityUK in nearby Salford Quays. It is now located a stone's throw from major TV studio Dock 10 as well as the BBC's base in the North - home to Blue Peter, Newsround, BBC Breakfast and BBC Sport. The new set was even bigger and built to 9/10 the scale of a real street and allowed for two card to be travelling down the road at opposite sides for the very first time. The site has even undergone major expansions during its 10 years. Just four years after opening in 2018, a brand new set extension was unveiled which introduced viewers to Victoria Gardens for the first time in its history. The Weatherfield North tram stop also became visible as did a series of shops which became used as part of product placement advertising deals. Brands to have been seen on the Street so far include a Co-Op, a Costa Coffee and a branch of Hay's Travel. Four years later in 2022, another brand new set was unveiled, this time being the heavily mentioned Weatherfield Precinct. It became the first time in 62 years that the area had ever been seen on screens. It fearued a variety of shop fronts, a playground and a number of small flats which have begun to house more and more residents on the street in recent months.
Elsewhere, Simon's side-hustle was revealed, with the soap favourite getting extra cash flow through Cameo.
Cameo allows Simon to send personalised video messages to his fans, whether it be for a birthday or anniversary.
And he's charging £37.50-per-video on the platform, which says fans will: 'Have the chance to customize your request for Simon Gregson, like asking them to mention inside jokes, share words of wisdom, or work in their signature catchphrases.'

Oisin Murphy fined £70,000 for drink-driving offence which led to car accident

Oisin Murphy, the reigning champion jockey on the Flat, was fined £70,000 with an additional £2,000 surcharge and £85 in costs at Reading magistrates court on Thursday after pleading guilty to a drink-driving charge following a crash in the early hours of 27 April. Murphy, 29, who was also banned from driving for 20 months, was described in court as having tested 'just shy' of twice the legal limit for alcohol around seven hours after the crash. He returned a reading of 66 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath, well above the legal limit of 35 micrograms per 100ml of breath. He was not required to plead to an additional charge of failing to provide a test sample at the roadside, following what was described as 'a misunderstanding between him and the police officers' by Richard Atkins, representing the Crown Prosecution Service. The court heard that Murphy admitted to police at the scene that he had been the driver of the grey Mercedes A-Class car, which left the road near Hermitage, West Berkshire, and collided with a tree. A female passenger in the car was subsequently taken to hospital. Murphy missed four booked rides at Southwell later the same day, but returned to race-riding at Windsor on the evening of 28 April, where he rode a double. Ringo Starr says he asked for changes in Beatles movie script

Former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr said that he personally intervened in the script of the forthcoming four-film Beatles biopic directed by Sam Mendes to clarify the depiction of himself and his then wife Maureen. In an interview with the New York Times, Starr said that he had met Mendes in London in April and spent two days discussing the script for the section of the project focusing on him. Having gone through the script in detail, Starr said that Mendes 'had a writer [involved] – very good writer, great reputation, and he wrote it great, but it had nothing to do with Maureen and I,' Starr said. 'That's not how we were. I'd say, 'We would never do that.'' Starr met Maureen Cox in 1962 when the Beatles were performing at the Cavern club in Liverpool and they were married in 1965; they divorced in 1975 and she subsequently married Isaac Tigrett, co-founder of the Hard Rock Cafe. She died in 1994 from leukaemia. Her and Starr's son Zak Starkey also became a drummer, with Starr recently defending him after he was fired by the Who. According to New York Times writer Lindsay Zoladz, Starr is now 'much more satisfied with how he's depicted in the script' and that he sends director Mendes 'peace and love'. Starr will be played in the films by Irish actor Barry Keoghan, star of The Banshees of Inisherin and Saltburn, whose casting was accidentally revealed by Starr in November in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Keoghan's role in the project was officially announced in April, alongside castmates Joseph Quinn (George Harrison), Harris Dickinson (John Lennon) and Paul Mescal (Paul McCartney). Keoghan recently talked about meeting Starr to prepare for the role, saying he was too nervous to look at him. In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Keoghan said he was 'in awe' and 'just froze'. 'When I was talking to him, I couldn't look at him. I was nervous … he was like, 'You can look at me'.' He added: 'My job is to observe and take in kind of mannerisms and study, but I want to humanise him and bring feelings to him, not just sort of imitate him.' Mendes is acting as producer on all four films along with regular collaborators Pippa Harris and Julie Pastor. In May reports emerged that he had hired award-winning writers Jez Butterworth, Peter Straughan and Jack Thorne to work on the films. Mendes' Beatles films are scheduled to be released in 2028.

Chelcee Grimes SPLITS from girlfriend after dating for a year and Christine McGuinness ‘fallout'

CHELCEE Grimes has reportedly split from her partner of a year after their spark "fizzled out." It comes after the songwriter's recent fallout with close pal Christine McGuinness, 37, with the real reason for the pair's toxic spat recently coming to light. 7 7 7 Chelcee, who has penned tracks for the likes of Dua Lipa and Jess Glynne to name a few, had been dating executive producer Amelia Farhang for the past 12 months, with the pair going Instagram official last July. Yet MailOnline has revealed they have called time on their relationship. A source said: "Chelcee's romance with Amelia fizzled out and they decided to go their separate ways. "To friends, it would seem as though they haven't ended on the best terms because they're no longer in contact and have unfollowed each other on Instagram. "Amelia has been sharing cryptic Instagram posts on her latest holiday which would suggest their relationship didn't end well." The Sun has gone to Chelcee's rep for comment. FRENEMIES? In August last year, former RHOC star Christine shared a kiss on the lips with Chelcee in front of holidaymakers during a trip to Ibiza. Despite their once tight bond, the two women are thought to have "little to no contact" these days. Previously, Chelcee was spotted liking a damning social media comment about Christine. It read "Christine is fake as they come, Chelcee deserved so much better. "Christine can keep trying to get attention and fake a new romance." The former pals met while taking part in ITV's The Games in 2022 - months before Christine and Paddy announced their shock split. The Sun then revealed how Christine - who has dated girls as well as guys since a teen - sparked a fall-out with Chelcee after she grew close to married Dan Osborne. In May Christine, who shares twins Leo and Penelope, eight, and 11-year-old Felicity with Paddy, made the decision to quit Celebs Go Dating after flying to Ibiza for filming. SPEAKING OUT Aside from a few public snogs, the pair had kept quiet about their bond. When asked about her high profile relationships, Chelcee previously said: "It's the job I'm in and the industry I'm in, it's where I'm going to meet people, but it is weird." "I'm a very low key person. I'm kind of on the outskirts of everything. I love my life and the job I do, I'm very grateful and blessed, but the industry... I'm not 'in it, in it'. "I've dated people who are more 'in it' than me and it's a whole new world for me. It's very odd. "If someone wants to take a picture of you then fair enough, but I don't know why. I'm really not that interesting." Chelcee was opening up about her dating history with Boots presents Taboo Talk host Vogue Williams in an episode focusing on Coming Out. Former footballer Chelcee met Christine when they both competed in ITV 's The Games, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff. She had previously dated Love Island star Megan on and off for over a year. 7 7 7
