Four people, including children as young as 4 years old, were killed when a driver plowed through an Illinois after-school building Monday afternoon, police said.
The driver allegedly crashed into the side of the YNot program building in Chatham and drove right through it, smashing out the other side, cops said, according to ABC7 Chicago.

The driver, 33-year-old Brian Blackwell Jr, of Chicago, was cited for driving under the influence and Scott's Law violations for failing to slow down or move over when approaching an emergency vehicle with its emergency lights activated. Blackwell and the trooper both were taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.

State Police's Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Zone 4 Major Crimes agents arrested Justin Shull for 10 counts of possession of child pornography (Class 2 Felony) on June 18. Pedestrian struck while walking on road under the influence: Decatur Police Dept. In Sept. 2024, State Police special agents started an internet crimes against children investigation in the Springfield area. During the investigation, investigators assigned to the Office of the Illinois Attorney General Internet Crimes against Children Task Force (ICAC) gathered digital evidence indicating Shull possessed child sexual abuse material at his Springfield residence. On June 18, special agents arrested Shull and transported him to the Sangamon County Jail. There is no additional information available on this incident at this time. A deadly crash shut down the northbound lanes on I-294 in Glenview, Illinois. According to Illinois State Police, a car was driving southbound in the northbound lanes and hit another car near Golf Road just before 2 a.m. The wrong-way driver was pronounced dead on the scene.
