(City of Ottawa traffic camera) Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson Marc-Antoine Deschamps tells CTV News Ottawa the plane crash-landed in trees in the area, and it took a significant effort to get the occupants out. He says one man and one woman were taken to hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. He could not comment on the status of the third person. The Ottawa International Airport says operations are not affected by the crash. Tom Kazmirchuk tells CTV News Ottawa he was driving down Hunt Club Road at around 5:45 p.m. when he crossed Riverside Drive and saw the plane going down. 'I saw this plane and it was very low, it was very fast and it was really evident to me that it wasn't going to make it,' he said in a phone interview. He says he did not see the actual crash, only the moments leading up to it. Hydro Ottawa briefly reported a power outage in the area, citing a 'traffic accident' as the cause. Power has since been restored to all but 12 customers on a small road off Riverside Drive. This is a breaking news story. Check back later for updates as they become available.
