Oh, pretty woman! Broadway's smash-hit ‘Pretty Woman: The Musical' is coming to Sydney in 2025
Since its debut on Broadway in 2018, Pretty Woman: The Musical has broken box office records and captivated audiences in London's West End, as well as in Spain, Italy and Germany. Based on one of Hollywood's most beloved rom-coms – the 1990 blockbuster Pretty Woman, starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere – this musical adaptation tells the iconic tale of a chance meeting between Edward (a ruthless businessman) and Vivian (a free-spirited escort) in a whole new way.
One of Australia's favourite triple threats, Samantha Jade will play the role made famous by one of her own favourite actors, Julia Roberts. The X Factor Australia winner says, 'I was so familiar with the movie, and it felt like all the stars were aligning when I got the first email to come and audition.'
'I've been lucky enough to sing and dance and act, but separately,' Jade continues. 'Doing them at once, live on stage, eight times a week... that's a whole new challenge.'
You can catch Pretty Woman: The Musical at Theatre Royal Sydney from November. Brought to life by a powerhouse creative team, the production features a blazing rock score from Grammy winners Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance ('Summer of '69', 'Heaven'), with direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray, Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde), and a book by the original movie's director Garry Marshall with screenwriter J.F. Lawton.
Trust us, missing this musical during its Sydney run would be a big mistake. A big, huge mistake! You can join the waitlist for tickets in Sydney here.

Nick Kyrgios claims Emma Raducanu is in a Wimbledon love triangle with two stars
Emma's love life has become the talk of WImbledon and now Nick Kyrgios couldn't resist stirring the pot Nick Kyrgios has mischievously claimed Emma Raducanu is in the middle of a 'love triangle' with fellow tennis stars Carlos Alcaraz and Jack Draper. The Aussie tennis ace made the bold comment with a grin while speaking on talkSPORT, where he's now working after being dropped by the BBC. Emma and Carlos have been the subject of light-hearted romance rumours recently, after the pair were spotted together multiple times from practice courts at Wimbledon to courtside support at the HSBC Championships. The two 22-year-olds, who are set to play mixed doubles together at the US Open, also recently joined forces as brand ambassadors for Evian but when asked about the buzz around their friendship, Emma laughed it off and made it clear there's no romance involved. 'I'm really happy to be playing with him… we're just good friends,' she said. That didn't stop Kyrgios from stirring the pot this week, cheekily telling listeners: 'I don't know, I think it's a love triangle! Draper, Alcaraz, Raducanu. They're fighting over Raducanu I think, I'm not sure.' Referring to Emma's smiley Wimbledon appearances, he added: 'I think the outside [she looks happy]. I don't know who's making her happy. The tennis world loves a love story, they love to try and put two [players] together. But Emma is number one British female player at the moment, she's doing fairly well. 'Obviously, winning a grand slam at 19 is never easy, it comes with a lot of expectations from the outside world. But, you know, as long as she's happy." Earlier this week, Emma kicked off her Wimbledon 2025 campaign with a solid 6-3 6-3 win over fellow Brit Mimi Xu. She's now set to face reigning 2023 champion Marketa Vondrousova in the next round. Meanwhile, Jack Draper begins his tournament against Sebastian Baez, and Emma is already off the mark after a tough battle with Fabio Fognini. During a pre-Wimbledon press conference, Emma once again dismissed the swirling romance rumours with a laugh. Speaking about her upcoming doubles pairing with Alcaraz, she said: 'No, it was fun yesterday. We were both on court with (water brand) Evian.' 'Yeah, I'm really happy obviously to be playing with him. Yeah, we had a good time yesterday.' The moderator swiftly wrapped up the topic, with Emma joking: 'Way to wrap up!' Speaking fondly about their four-year friendship, she explained: 'I've known him for years and actually in Wimbledon 2021, it was kind of the first time I started getting to know him… I remember he beat Stef [Tsitsipas] in the third round and it was like a big win, his breakout kind of win on a big stage… we were staying in touch for the whole time and yeah, it's nice.' She added: 'We have a good relationship still. He's obviously overtaken me a lot, but it's nice that we have that from a while ago. 'I think for all of us, we really kind of value those connections that we had from when we were young… when you become a bit more known or a bit more successful, you just find yourself reverting back to people you knew from a young age because you're like, that's a real genuine connection.' While the so-called 'love triangle' remains nothing more than playful tennis gossip, it's safe to say Nickhas successfully stirred the Wimbledon pot.

Tennis star claims Raducanu is in 'love triangle' with Alcaraz and Draper
Emma Raducanu has already seen her relationship with Carlos Alcaraz speculated upon ahead of Wimbledon and now Australian star Nick Krygios has added another name to the mix Emma Raducanu, Carlos Alcaraz and Jack Draper could be in a love triangle according to outspoken tennis star Nick Kyrgios. With his tongue appearing to be firmly in his cheek, the Aussie ace suggested another name to add to the mix amid speculation of romance between Raducanu and reigning Wimbledon champion Alcaraz. Raducanu has already laughed off the suggestion of a romantic relationship with Alcaraz. The 2021 US Open champion is set to team up with Alcaraz to play mixed doubles at the US Open in September, which sparkd rumours there could be something more between them. Both players successfully navigated their way through the tournament's first round. Raducanu overcame Mimi Xu in straight sets while Alcarez required five to defeat 38-year-old Fabio Fognini. But for some, talk of love is dominating the air. And on talkSPORT, ex-Wimbledon finalist Kyrgios was asked when he knew about any possible romantic dalliance around SW19 for Alcaraz and Raducanu. Appearing a little caught off guard, Krygios first stumbled: "I don't know, I don't know about that nah, nah, I don't know." But with a laugh, he soon kicked into action. "I think it's a love triangle - Draper, Alcaraz and Raducanu," he said. "They're fighting over Raducanu I think, I'm not sure." "This is the stuff we want to hear," chipped in former Rangers striker Ally McCoist. "This is why I'm here Nick." "I don't know who's making her happy," Kyrgios added, when asked about the pressure on Raducanu and her happiness heading into Wimbledon. "I just think that the tennis world loves a love story, and they love to try and put two together. "Look Raducanu, she's doing fairly well. Obviously winning a Grand Slam at 19 is never easy, it comes with a lot of expectation from the outside world. So long as she's happy, there's so much pressure that comes from being a no.1 player and playing at Wimbledon. So hopefully she can find her feet. "Imagine her and Jack Draper winning the women's title and the men's title. That would be something." Raducanu has been long-time friend of Alcaraz having known each other since their teen years. The pair were spotted practising together at Wimbledon on Friday. Asked if they had discussed their US Open tactics, Raducanu said: "No, it was fun yesterday. We were both on court with (water brand) Evian. 'Yeah, we were just getting some volley practicing ahead of New York. Yeah, I'm really happy obviously to be playing with him. Yeah, we had a good time yesterday.' And when the inevitable question about their relationship arrived, Raducanu offered a smile with her reply: 'We're just good friends.' The interview moderator then prompted a laugh from Raducanu after stepping in to end the questions. The Brit added: 'Way to wrap up!"
