Brutal Takedown: Fleeing In Stolen Toyota, Suspect Gets Pitted Into A Concrete Wall
Sometimes we can't believe the cars criminals use to try running from police, like this suspect caught in a stolen Toyota Corolla he tries using to run a couple of pursuing troopers off the highway. He even uses the little compact sedan to ram one of the Viriginia State Police cruisers a few times, utterly failing to push the little four banger hard enough to get away.Dashcam footage shows the whole chase play out after a plate reader alerted troopers to the presence of the stolen Toyota. What anyone watching this who's dumb enough to drive around in a stolen vehicle should learn from this is if you're in a Corolla, just pull over and surrender. Running is going to be far more painful.
But this individual seems to think he can get away. Look, if you can't smoke a couple of Ford Explorer Police Interceptors, well that's pathetic. Despite that glaring fact staring this guy in the face, he keeps pushing the Corolla for all it's worth, which in a police chase really isn't all that much.
Don't get us wrong, a Corolla is a great car for a young driver or a price conscious commuter who also wants a vehicle that won't grenade its engine or transmission just north of 100,000 miles. But it's a horrible getaway ride.
After the troopers deal with this fool ramming them, running them off the road, and slipping out of attempts to box him in, the gloves come off. That's when one of the troopers does a hard PIT maneuver, spinning the Toyota so it hits a concrete wall, spraying sparks everywhere.
In a testament to the Corolla's durability, that doesn't concave the sedan's body structure but it does end the chase. Still, our suspect driver thinks he's a track star until a trooper wearing 50 lbs. of gear easily chases him down, showing he's about as slow as the stolen car he was driving. Sad.

A Utah woman admitted to conspiring to kill her husband with the help of her mother and brother, making the fatal shooting look like an act of self-defense. Kathryn Restelli, 37, pleaded guilty to a reduced count of murder and conspiracy to commit murder for the death of Matthew Restelli, 34, her estranged husband who was shot dead at her family's residence in American Fork last July, local KSL reported. The mother of two told the court that she lured her husband to her mother's home on July 12, 2024, with the promise of reconciling their relationship, telling him he was free to walk into the home unannounced. Officers who arrived at the scene testified that they found Matthew with a knife in his hand, but its placement seemed unusual and raised doubts about the family's self-defense claim. Advertisement Police said Matthew was gripping the knife in the wrong direction and that the weapon was in his right hand — despite the fact that he's left-handed and that a bullet wound was centered on the wrist holding the blade. Restelli's mother, Tracey Grist, called 911 after the shooting, but the call from inside the house came minutes after a neighbor had already notified police, setting off more alarm bells. Diane Restelli, Matthew's mother, said her son was concerned after his wife took the kids and family truck to stay with her family in Utah. Matthew had agreed to drive from his California residence to American Fork to pick up his family because Restelli told him she could not rent a vehicle to come back, Diane told the court. Restelli had also put a tracking device in Matthew's truck to monitor his arrival and stayed in touch to make sure he would get to the house so her family would be ready to act, she admitted. Along with pleading guilty to reduced count of murder and conspiracy to commit murder, Restelli was also hit with a Felony discharge of a firearm charge. She is set to return to court on Sept. 9 for her sentencing, where she faces a maximum of life in prison. Ellis and Grist have both been charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, obstruction of justice, and two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child. Ellis, whose trial is expected to start on Jan. 20, has also been charged with possession of a gun as a restricted person and drug possession. Grist also has a jury trial scheduled to start on Jan. 12.

Ole Miss freshman football player Corey Adams was killed in a shooting in Tennessee, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office announced Sunday. Law enforcement officials found Adams with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle at an intersection in Cordova on the outskirts of Memphis late Saturday, the sheriff's office said in a statement.
