So…
I'm not sure if you all have noticed, but Fox News, MAGA America and the Trump-ified GOP really, reeeeally hate Rep. Jasmine Crockett.
This outspoken Black woman — who has been a rising star among congressional Democrats since she was elected to represent Texas in the U.S. House — has been such a thorn in the MAGA Republican backside that her detractors haven't been able to keep her name out of their white nationalist bile-excreting mouths as they take ad-hominem shots at her intelligence, appearance, competence, relationship status, mental acuity and the 'ghetto,' 'hood' and 'gangsta' ways she presents herself ( according to white people who pretty much think any authentically Black person is 'ghetto,' 'hood' and/or 'gangsta').
And they seem to desperately want her to be as unpopular with everyone else as she is with them.
She's not, though.
Recent polling released by the National Republican Senatorial Committee shows Crockett leading Democrats as a potential candidate to challenge incumbent Republican John Cornyn for his seat in the U.S. Senate, with 35% of respondents favoring her over Colin Allred (20%), Beto O'Rourke (13%), and Democratic Texas Rep. Joaquin Castro (13%).
Crockett is leading in the polls, and she's leading by a lot — and the fine folks at Fox News are crashing all the way out over it.
From Mediaite:
'A shocking poll shows Texas congresswoman Jasmine Crockett is leading in the race for incumbent Republican John Cornyn's Senate seat. Even bigger news though, the massive backlash over her making the Texas flood disaster all about her,' Faulkner said on The Faulkner Focus on Thursday. 'Well, it's not news because she does that with everything.'
Faulkner later returned to the subject of the poll, calling the story an 'unconscious bestie.'
'Some shock now, Republican Party polling shows Crocket is leading Democrats' hypothetical 2026 field by 35 points to run for incumbent Republican John Cornyn seat,' she reported.
So, Faulkner thinks the poll revealing Crockett's popularity among Democratic voters is 'shocking,' but not so shocking that it's less shocking than the 'massive backlash' she supposedly received (as if anyone outside of the MAGA world hopped on that broken bandwagon) after posting an Instagram video where she supposedly made the deadly flash flood disaster in Kerr County, Texas, 'all about herself.'
Well, about that video…
Earlier this week, Crockett posted an Instagram video addressing a range of grievances regarding the second Trump administration, including its funding cuts to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) — which some have alleged contributed to the flood death toll in Texas — President Donald Trump's massively unpopular 'big beautiful bill,' and his diet Gestapo-like immigration agenda.
The video was nearly seven and a half minutes long, unless you ask Fox News, other right-wing media outlets, and all of their followers, in which case, less than a minute of Crockett's video actually exists, and it begins with this line:
'The sad part is I think that my heart is going to carry a level of weight that will continue to weigh me down as we have to continue to do our best to survive an administration that literally is against us.'
'And there's this gem. She said this on social media, blaming the administration for the flooding. And making the issue in Texas all about her,' Faulkner said, conveniently forgetting how Republican leaders responded to the wildfires in California all of six months ago.
'Not a single word about the victims, the children who perished. It's all about her. Part of her caption for that video gave a shoutout to her hairstylist, saying, 'My staff said, y'all are commenting about my bob,'' Faulkner continued.
Again, Crockett's nearly seven-and-a-half-minute video wasn't focused solely on the flood, nor was it an official statement. Also — if Faulkner had bothered to even attempt to view the entire video, she'd know that early on, Crockett spoke at length about the victims of the flood.
'First of all, we need to truly give our heartfelt prayers to those that are still missing, as well as those who have lost, you know, young kids,' Crockett began, less than one minute into the video.
'Losing life in general is awful, but we've got babies that have died, and as far as I'm concerned, it's inexcusable,' she continued. 'It makes no sense for us to have the level of knowledge, the level of technology, the understanding of science that we have, and to pretend as if we have literally no tools — to be ignorant enough to fire people who are saving lives every day.'
Just before the part of the clip that aired on Fox News — in which, according to Faulkner, Crockett said 'not a single word about the victims' — Crockett explicitly said, 'My heart is truly hurting for these families.' It was directly after that line that Crockett expressed the part about the 'level of weight' her heart will carry.
But since Fox News' target audience is largely comprised of gullible MAGA rubes who have the media literacy of a dumpster full of wet mops, virtually every right-wing influencer and media outlet ran with the same 'Crockett made the flood all about herself' angle like a bunch of bobble-head idiots.
Here's a Daily Caller playing the same edited clip, and shamelessly pre-facing it by warning his viewers, 'If you blink, you're going to miss the part where Jasmine Crockett actually mentions the flood victims. (In truth, you won't miss it because you blinked; you'll miss it because he only plays the last damn part of the video , which came after all of the parts where she talks at length about the flood victims.)
For people who routinely shout 'fake news' from every mountain top they can reach, these pundits show us time and time again that yellow journalism is virtually their entire brand.
It's a pathetic way to make a living.

Tucker Carlson claims Jeffrey Epstein worked for Israel to blackmail US officials: ‘Every single person in DC thinks that'

Tucker Carlson has claimed that deceased child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein was working for the Israeli government and that 'every single person in Washington D.C.' thinks the same. 'I've never met anyone who doesn't think that. I don't know any of them that hate Israel. But no one feels they can say that,' the former Fox News host told an audience in Florida on Friday. Carlson also suggested that the disgraced financier may have been running 'a blackmail operation' as he discussed new information recently released by the Department of Justice. A two-page memo from the DOJ and FBI said that Epstein had no 'client list,' and that the convicted pedophile died by suicide in his jail cell in 2019, shortly before going to trial – angering some among the MAGA faithful. Speaking about the development at a Turning Point USA summit in Tampa, Carlson slammed the findings of the administration.'The real question is, why was he doing this, on whose behalf, and where did the money come from?' he said. 'I think the real answer is Jeffrey Epstein was working on behalf of intel services, probably not American. And we have every right to ask, on whose behalf was he working? 'Now, no one's allowed to say that the foreign government is Israel because we have been somehow cowed into thinking that's naughty. There is nothing wrong with saying that. There is nothing hateful about saying that, Carlson said. 'There's nothing anti-Semitic about saying that. There's nothing even anti-Israel about saying that. 'And you have the right to expect your government will not act against your interests, and you have a right to demand that foreign governments not be allowed to act against your interests.' Carlson has become one of the the big names on the list of MAGA luminaries who are irate over the DOJ's conclusions and previously insisted there was an 'obvious' reason why Attorney General Pam Bondi was 'covering up' the 'client list.' In addition, footage capturing Epstein's final hours – also released by the DOJ – has fuelled further conspiracy theories, after it appeared to have a minute of footage missing. A digital clock visible on the bottom left corner of the footage jumps from 11:58:58 p.m. to 12:00:00 a.m. Officials have not yet offered an explanation for the time gap to The Independent or the New York Times.

Calls To Shut Down ‘Alligator Alcatraz' Surge As Petition Nears 20K Signatures

A petition demanding the immediate shutdown of 's controversial detention site, dubbed has gained nearly 20,000 signatures, fueled by disturbing accounts of inhumane treatment and environmental concern. Located deep in the Everglades, the facility has come under intense scrutiny following reports from detainees describing the site as a "concentration camp" for immigrants. Allegations include severe water shortages, spoiled food, mosquito infestations, and denial of medical care. Some say they've been offered only one meal a day at "Alligator Alcatraz," infested with maggots, and denied basic hygiene for days at a time. Nicknamed "Alligator Alcatraz," the Everglades-based detention facility was established as part of the Republican administration's push to dramatically increase the U.S. migrant detention capacity, from 41,000 to at least 100,000 beds. Though officials have described the site as 'temporary,' its remote location deep in South Florida's fragile ecosystem and its ominous nickname, a reference to the infamous Alcatraz prison, send a clear message of deterrence through isolation. Detainees and their advocates have reported appalling conditions inside the facility, including food infested with worms, overflowing toilets, stagnant water on the floors, and barely functioning air conditioning in the sweltering Florida heat. Mosquitoes reportedly swarm the bunk areas, and basic hygiene, like showers, has been denied for days at a time. According to the Associated Press, one man told his wife that the neglect and discomfort inside "Alligator Alcatraz" felt like punishment rather than temporary detention, a sentiment that has only added fuel to the national outcry. Cuban reggaeton artist Leamsy La Figura, currently detained at the facility, described the conditions in a harrowing phone call, 'There's no water to take a bath. It's been four days. They only brought a meal once a day and it had maggots... The mosquitoes are as big as elephants.' Another said, "We're not dogs. We're like rats in an experiment,' while a third said, 'I'm on the edge of losing my mind,' after being denied critical medication for three days. These reports have sparked national outcry and prompted Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava to urge federal and state officials to grant remote monitoring access and site inspections. 'The growing allegations about human rights violations are deeply disturbing,' she said. Beyond human welfare, environmental concerns have also taken center stage. Donny, the Florida resident who launched the recent viral petition, spoke exclusively to The Blast about his motivations. 'I am from Key West, now living in Port Charlotte,' Donny said. 'I started this petition to do my part to save the Everglades from the irreversible destruction that will come from 'Alligator Alcatraz.' I lived just three miles north of this immigrant concentration camp, the government put in place without congressional approval or an ecological impact study.' As an outdoor enthusiast, Donny emphasized the threat to endangered species and the potential contamination of air and freshwater supplies critical to more than 8 million residents in Southwest Florida. 'This initiative is reckless and will leave long-lasting consequences for years to come,' he said. 'We must stop these ill-conceived plans. I'm hoping the federal government halts their plans, finds an alternative location for their agenda, and does the research needed to understand the damage this will cause to our delicate ecosystem.' CJ of Gainesville, Florida, commented on the petition. "I'm a 5th-generation Floridian, and grew up on both sides of the Everglades. I can say in all honesty that this is one of the most grim and embarrassing chapters in our recent history," he began. "Burning millions, if not ultimately billions, of taxpayer dollars on an unneeded facility in one of the world's most unique and fragile ecosystems, already struggling under the burdens of overpopulation and political indifference." "Those who perpetuated this are on the wrong side of history, the dark side that invariably leads to ruin," he continued. "Previous generations of Americans have fought wars against this; they would be ashamed of how we've dishonored their sacrifice." Kayla, who grew up with the Everglades in her backyard, expressed how she has an immense amount of respect for the "fragile ecosystem," and "not only is vital for the health of all of Florida, but it is home to an incredible amount of unique species not seen anywhere else in the US." Hannah chimed in, "I thought concentration camps were a thing of the past." The petition, which has since gone viral, is in honor of Marjorie Stoneman Douglas and The Miccosukee Tribal community.

Trump Angrily Tries to Shut Down Jeffrey Epstein Questions

President Donald Trump furiously blasted convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein being brought up during his Cabinet meeting at the White House. The subject of the disgraced financier was raised in a question to Attorney General Pam Bondi, as she has come under fire from MAGA world over the administration's handling of the release of information related to the case. However, before Bondi could answer the reporter's question, the president jumped in. 'Are you still talking about Jeffery Epstein?' Trump asked. 'This guy's been talked about for years.' 'We have Texas, we have this, we have all of the things, and are people still talking about this guy, this creep? That is unbelievable,' the president continued. 'Do you want to waste the time, and you feel like answering?' he asked Bondi who confirmed she would answer. The president did not appear to realize some of his biggest supporters are among those still pushing for answers about Epstein. 'I can't believe you're asking a question on Epstein at a time like this where we're having some of the greatest success and also tragedy with what happened in Texas,' the president continued. 'It just seems like a desecration.' It comes after a Justice Department and FBI memo concluded that Epstein did die by suicide in 2019 and was not murdered, disputing conspiracy theories that have floated for years. It also found that no Epstein 'client list' exists. The president's frustration over the Epstein question came as he has been haunted by old images of him with Epstein back before he ever ran for office. Trump has denied he had ever went on Epstein's plane or been to his private island. During the 2024 campaign, the president also vowed to release more documents from the Epstein case exciting his base. Bondi did eventually answer the question about Epstein and she became defensive about the administration's release of information, as some MAGA allies have accused the administration of botching it and over-promising. The attorney general had been asked whether Epstein had, in fact, been working for an American or foreign intelligence agency and why the tape released from the prison had a minute of missing footage. Bondi said she did not know whether Epstein was an agent and claimed the missing minute of video from the release was missing because a minute is missing every night as the old video system reloops. 'We released the video showing definitively, the video was not conclusive, but the evidence prior to it was showing he committed suicide,' Bondi said. Bondi also defended comments she made to Fox News in an interview in February where she was asked specifically about the release of a client list. 'My response was 'it's sitting on my desk to be reviewed,' meaning the file along with the JFK, MLK files as well,' Bondi claimed. 'That's what I meant by that. Also to the 10s of 1000s of videos, they turned out to be child porn downloaded by that disgusting Jeffrey Epstein. Child porn is what they were, never going to be released.' Her response was similar to that made by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt when grilled about it on Monday. Among those who have rejected the Justice Department's claim that there was no client list was Trump ally Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who posted about Epstein's partner Ghislaine Maxwell on X on Tuesday. 'What about her little black book? The 97-page book, contains the names and contact details of almost 2,000 people including world leaders, celebrities and businessmen. No one believes there is not a client list,' Greene wrote.
