West Indies vs Australia 2025 2nd Test match LIVE Streaming Details: Timings, Telecast Date, when and where to watch
West Indies gave former World Test champions Australia a run for their money in the first Test before bowing down to a 159-run loss at Bridgetown in Barbados last week. Pat Cummins-led Australia will now look to seal a series win when they take on Roston Chase's side in the second Test beginning in Grenada from Thursday.
Australia have got a major boost with the return of batter Steve Smith into the line-up. Smith has been battling a broken finger since the WTC 2025 final loss to South Africa last month. Australian wicket-keeper Alex Carey revealed that Smith had done everything expected of him in an effort to make an early return.
'(He's a) class player. Think anytime you add 10,000 runs back into the line-up, you're going to be pretty happy with it. So we'll wait and see,' Carey said in the pre-match press conference.
'Obviously, he's having a hit out here. He seems pretty confident and he's excited to get back in. But also, it's been tough at the top of the order, so to add I guess a little bit more experience is good for the group, but I think they're doing a pretty good job as well,' he added.
Smith will come into the playing 11 at the expense of backup wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis. Aussies will look to play the same squad apart from the one change.
West Indies, on the other hand, are considering whether they can play an extra pacer in Anderson Phillip in place of left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican.
Celebrating a son, a father, a best friend and a proud West Indian.❤️

Team India secures biggest away Test win by runs, Gill becomes youngest Indian skipper to secure overseas victory in long format
Birmingham [UK], July 6 (ANI): India created history with a 336-run win over England in the second Test at Birmingham as not only did they secure their first-ever win at Edgbaston but also secured their biggest Test win away from home in terms of runs. Skipper Shubman Gill, pacers Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj were the frontline warriors of a team effort as Team India levelled the series, overcoming the Birmingham blues with a win that would be remembered for ages. This is India's biggest win away from home, outdoing their 318-run win over West Indies at North Sound back in 2016, while they defended a total of 419. Jasprit Bumrah took a memorable five-wicket haul in the match, and Ajinkya Rahane was the 'Player of the Match' with scores of 81 and 102. Also, Gill, besides breaking what seemed like an endless list of records while batting, made history as a captain as well. Aged 25 years & 301 days, Shubman Gill becomes the youngest Indian captain to win a Test overseas; the previous youngest was Sunil Gavaskar (26y 202d) vs NZ in Auckland in 1976. Coming to the match, England once again opted to field first. After getting KL Rahul (2) early, an 80-run stand between Yashasvi Jaiswal (87 in 107 balls, with 13 fours) and Karun Nair (31 in 50 balls, with five fours) helped India gain some footing in the match. Skipper Shubman Gill had valuable partnerships of 203 runs with Ravindra Jadeja (89 in 137 balls, with 10 fours and a six) and a 144-run stand against Washington Sundar (42 in 103 balls, with three fours and a six), helping India towards 587, scoring 269 in 387 balls himself, with 30 fours and three sixes. Shoaib Bashir (3/167) was the pick of the bowlers for England, while Chris Woakes and Josh Tongue also managed two each. In England's first innings, India had them on the ropes with 84/5. However, a 303-run stand between Harry Brook (158 in 234 balls, with 17 fours and a six) and wicketkeeper-batter Jamie Smith (184* in 207 balls, with 21 fours and four sixes) sent India on an endless hunt for leather and answers. However, Siraj (6/70) and Akash Deep (4/88) got something out of the new ball and tumbled down the last five wickets for 20 runs, bundling them down for 407 runs, gaining a 180-run lead. India's response was a swift half-century partnership between Jaiswal (28 in 22 balls, with six fours) and KL Rahul, who also continued his good run with a 10-boundary-filled 55 in 84 balls. A 110-run stand for the fourth wicket between Rishabh Pant (65 in 58 balls, with eight fours and three sixes) and Gill upped the attack, while Gill managed yet another epic 175-run stand with Jadeja, scoring 161 in 162 balls, with 13 fours and eight sixes. Jadeja scored an unbeaten 69* in 118 balls, with five fours and a six. India declared at 427/6, leading by 607 runs and setting England a monstrous 608 runs to win. During the run-chase, England was restricted to 50/3. Jamie Smith (88 in 99, with nine fours and four sixes) was the only glimmer of hope for England as they were skittled out for just 271 runs, losing by 336 runs, thanks to a brilliant spell from Akash Deep (6/99), who ended up taking a ten-fer. Gill took home the 'Player of the Match' award and India levelled the series 1-1. (ANI)

While Alcaraz's main rivals, seven-time winner Novak Djokovic and world number one Jannik Sinner, are in ominous form, the second seed has blown hot and cold so far. It was the same story on Sunday, as he struggled to find his rhythm early in the match, despite occasional flashes of brilliance, before raising his is set to face Britain's Cameron Norrie in the last eight. Following his victory, he said that Rublev was one of the most powerful and aggressive players on the men's tour. "I think I played intelligently and smartly today against him, tactically," he said. "A really good match, which I'm really proud about."The five-time Grand Slam champion said he always believes in himself, even when facing adversity. "Tennis is a sport that can change with just one point," he added. "One point can change the match completely, turn everything around. In tennis, you have to stay there all the time. Rublev took the first set on a tie-break, but Alcaraz engineered a break in the eighth game of the second set and served out to level the match. British Grand Prix: Lando Norris clinches emotional triumph in rain-soaked home race at Silverstone
The 25-year-old Briton made the most of McLaren teammate and series leader Oscar Piastri's mid-race misfortune, when he was given a 10-second penalty for slowing excessively while leading behind the safety car, to finish 6.8112 seconds clear. read more McLaren's Lando Norris steers his car during the British Grand Prix at the Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire, United Kingdom. Reuters An emotional Lando Norris boosted his world title bid in memorable fashion on Sunday when he drove to a commanding rain-splashed victory ahead of McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri in a chaotic British Grand Prix. The 25-year-old Briton made the most of series leader Piastri's mid-race misfortune, when he was given a 10-second penalty for slowing excessively while leading behind the safety car, to finish 6.8112 seconds clear. It was his first home win, his fourth win of the year and the eighth of his career, lifting him within eight points of the Australian. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD 'Thank you, McLaren, thanks everyone,' said Norris. 'This is beautiful. Winning at home. This is a dream.' Nico Hulkenberg finished a stirring third for Sauber to claim the first podium appearance of his long career after 239 races. 'It feels good,' the veteran German said. 'A long time coming! But we had it in us and I had it in me somewhere. It's pretty surreal. All a bit crazy now.' Piastri was careful not to express his disappointment at the time penalty verdict. 'I want to congratulate Nico,' he said. 'That's the best story of the day – but I don't want to say much else to avoid getting into trouble.' Norris became the 13th different home winner of the British race. Lewis Hamilton took fourth for Ferrari ahead of Red Bull's four-time champion Max Verstappen. In an epic event run in extreme and changeable weather conditions, Pierre Gasly was sixth for Alpine, ahead of Aston Martin's Lance Stroll, Williams' Alex Albon, two-time champion Fernando Alonso in the second Aston Martin and Mercedes' George Russell. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The party can begin! 🥳 Lando Norris takes the chequered flag at his home race for the first time 🤩#F1 #BritishGP @McLarenF1 — Formula 1 (@F1) July 6, 2025 On a cool and wet summer's day in central England, the race began as the sun slanted through the clouds following torrential rain, Verstappen leading a controlled formation lap behind the safety car. In F1's 75th anniversary year, it was the 1,173rd race since the inaugural world championship event at Silverstone on May 13, 1950, and with the field so closely-packed few races had been more keenly anticipated. Russell and Leclerc gambled on switching to slick tyres before the start as Verstappen led the opening lap from his 44th pole ahead of Piastri, Norris and Hamilton. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD RB's' Liam Lawson went off at Stowe on lap one, triggering a virtual safety car (VSC), and Franco Colapinto retired his Alpine after stalling in the pit-lane. The race re-started on lap five with Piastri hounding Verstappen before a second VSC intervention when Gabriel Bortoleto abandoned his Sauber. It was stop-go stuff with everyone waiting for more rain. After chasing him, Piastri passed Verstappen at Stowe on lap eight to lead. Verstappen then ran off at Becketts and Norris passed him before they all pitted as the rain resumed. Blinded by spray Norris suffered a slow stop, giving second, behind Piastri, back to Verstappen, in appalling conditions that prompted another full safety car and wiped out the Australian's 13-second advantage. 'There's water in my visor, a huge splash and I can't see,' reported Leclerc after bouncing across the grass at Becketts. Hamilton was also blinded by spray, dropping to eighth, as the field cruised through puddles. Racing resumed on lap 18 amid plumes of spray before a third full safety car was deployed when RB rookie Isack Hadjar crashed into Antonelli's Mercedes at Copse. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The action re-started on lap 22 with a gripless Verstappen sliding off out of Copse as he spun, after Piastri had braked dramatically in front of him before the safety car peeled in. After a brief investigation, Piastri was given a 10-second penalty. By lap 26, and mid-race, Piastri led Norris before the Australian pitted to serve his time penalty, leaving Norris to soak up a memorable win.
