Stalking victim says she 'couldn't stop crying' after watching Natasha O'Brien doc
Chloe who recalled her own frightening experience in a Dublin hotel in March, posted a message on Instagram revealing how she became upset having watched the documentary featuring the Limerick woman.
'Really in my feels today,' Chloe wrote. 'I recorded a whole story chat and had to delete it because I can't stop crying today (and it's only 8am) perfect.
'I watched Natasha's documentary last night and it really hit me. I felt for her and her mam. I could understand completely why she felt the way she felt because of my own experience.
'It's not until you've gone through something in anyway similar that you start acting and feeling so different towards these situations'
She adds: 'What I'm trying to say is, thank you Natasha, for your bravery. I would not have been able to do what you did and I'm sure a lot of girls can agree.

The documentary entitled simply 'Natasha' reveals how after surviving a violent assault by a serving soldier, who was convicted but walked free with a suspended sentence, Natasha O'Brien refused to stay silent in her search for justice.
Influencer Chloe recently described the arrest of her alleged stalker as 'good news.'

Days later Chloe shared a video to TikTok explaining that a man followed her off the street and into her hotel lift where he proceeded to remove his belt.
Koyce said she pressed record on her phone while she was in the lift in the hopes of gathering evidence just in case something did happen to her.
In the clip, the man, whose face is blurred out, can be seen holding his belt in his hands in what Chloe believed was an effort to intimidate her.
The man, who was in his twenties then followed her to her hotel room but fled after Chloe's mother opened the door.
Thanking her followers for their support following news of the arrest, she shared a video to her Instagram stories.
'Obviously, the news is out, and they released a statement, and it's good news,' she said.
'It brings everything back again but it's a positive thing.
'This is almost like reassurance first of all, but also just proof to anyone that doubted the situation that thought I was looking for attention.
'It's taken really, really seriously because it's a really, really bad thing that has happened and also just to prove that you can report any minor or major incident and something will be done,' she added.

Man arrested in murder of Josephine Ray previously denied involvement in pensioner's death
Hasan Ali Gori has been in a relationship with Ms Ray's daughter, Mary Ray. A man who has protested his innocence in relation to the murder of pensioner Josephine 'Josie' Ray was re-arrested today in connection with her killing. Hasan Ali Gori, who is in his 50s, was arrested by Gardaí in Limerick City. Mr Ali Gori was taken to a garda station for questioning about the murder of the 89-year old. Mr Ali Gori has been in a relationship with Ms Ray's daughter, Mary Ray. They were both previously arrested in connection with the death of Josephine Ray. Both have said they had no involvement in the murder. It's understood that the pensioner was assaulted and strangled. Her body was found in bed at her home at St Joseph's Park, Nenagh, on August 4, 2024. With rats scurrying around her, Ms Ray said: 'My mother loved me, she was mad about me, we lived together. It's very hard for me, I miss her terrible, so much.' 'I got an awful fright. Her glasses were off in the bed…I said, 'Mother, get up for your tea'. 'But she wasn't moving. I said, there's something wrong with her, she must be dead.' ‘I couldn't let go of his hand, I didn't want to leave him' – Man died in tyre explosion
Patrick McCrann was repairing a wheel on a trailer when the tragedy occurred A 50-year-old Co Roscommon man died instantly from a 'catastrophic' brain injury when the tyre of a farmyard trailer exploded while he was using an arc welder to repair the wheel rim, an inquest was told today. Patrick McCrann, who lived at Sheepwalk, Frenchpark, was repairing a wheel on a trailer which was used to bring turf from the bog to his parent's home when the tragedy occurred on July 18, 2024. An inquest into Mr McCrann's death was conducted this afternoon in Ballaghaderreen Courthouse by the Coroner for Roscommon, Brian O'Connor. Garda Denise Casserley told the hearing how following a report of a tyre explosion, she attended the scene and found the body of the deceased lying in a small shed in a farmyard having sustained a traumatic brain injury. The force of the explosion had blown a hole in the roof of the shed, Garda Casserley explained. Last rites were administered at the scene by Fr Joseph Gavigan and the body was identified to Garda Casserley by Kevin McCrann, a brother of the deceased. Kevin McCrann, in a deposition read to the inquest by Garda Courts Presenter, Sergeant Pat O'Malley explained he was in reading a letter in his sitting room when he heard an explosion. In his deposition, Mr McCrann continued: 'I didn't panic. I walked down the yard. I saw Pat's van reversed in towards the shed. The back door of the van was open. As I approached the van I knew something was wrong. I entered the shed and I saw Pat and I knew he was dead. 'I knew the extent of his injuries were fatal. 'I couldn't let go of his hand and I didn't want to leave him'. Patrick McCrann News in 90 Seconds - Thursday, July 3 Dr Caroline Brodie, Consultant Pathologist at University College Hospital Galway, disclosed that the cause of death was 'catastrophic traumatic injury'. Responding to the coroner, she said that death would have been instantaneous. The circumstances of the tragedy were investigated by Kay Baxter, an Inspector with the Health and Safety Authority (HSA). In her report, which she read to today's hearing, Ms Baxter said Mr McCrann had been repairing a wheel rim with a tyre in situ in a shed in his parent's farmyard using an arc welder. 'The air in the tyre expanded with the heat from the weld and the tyre was forced off the wheel rim in an explosive fashion and was propelled through the roof of the shed landing in the concrete yard outside', Ms Baxter continued. She added: 'The resultant blast and impact with the tyre caused fatal head injuries (to the deceased)'. In her Report, Ms Baxter described Mr McCrann as an an experienced tyre fitter who had been in business for more than 30 years. Recording a verdict of accidental death, the coroner said the deceased was well known as an obliging person who went out to assist people and to lose him in such tragic circumstances was very difficult for the family and the local community. Sergeant O'Malley, on behalf of An Garda Síochána, joined the coroner in expressing sympathy with the family of the deceased.

Anthony Brophy has spent most of his adult life homeless and featured in an RTE documentary about life on the streets A homeless charity worker, who began ranting at passengers about terrorists after armed gardaí intercepted him carrying a knife on Dublin's Luas, has been jailed. Anthony Brophy, 42, who has spent most of his adult life homeless featured in an RTE documentary about his life on the streets, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a knife, breach of the peace, failing to give gardaí his name and criminal damage to a garda station cell which he soiled with his own bodily fluids and filth on April 9, 2024. He was handed a six-month prison sentence and banned from using the Luas for two years by Judge John Hughes at Dublin District Court on Thursday. In evidence, Garda Anna Toland said that the incident unfolded at around 9.50 pm after gardai were alerted about a man on the Luas red line, travelling inbound. She followed the tram, driving her patrol car along the tracks until Heuston station, and saw him on the tram before it continued to the Museum stop. A Garda armed support unit was notified and waiting When Garda Toland got there, the knife was on the ground, and Brophy, of Maxwell Street, Dublin 8, had been disarmed using soft arm techniques. However, he was verbally abusive, refusing to provide his name and 'shouting at people about terrorists' and saying 'what were they doing on the Luas and looking at him' The court heard that he was taken to Kevin Street Garda station and charged as 'unknown' because he would not disclose his name, which he withheld until he appeared in court the following day. Anthony Brophy News in 90 Seconds - Thursday, July 3 Judge Hughes noted that when Brophy was kept overnight, he urinated, spat and defecated in a holding cell. The court heard he had 25 prior convictions, including one incident where he was caught carrying three knives on a date in 2017. However, he had never received a prison sentence. Judge Hughes inquired about the circumstances of how the knife was detected. Garda Toland said the ASU officers informed her Brophy had it in the buckle of his belt or down his trousers when they met him. State Solicitor Rory Staines confirmed a member of the public reported a knife being brandished, but with no witness or evidence to support it, Brophy was charged only with possession. It was not in open view when the ASU arrived. Paul Larkin Coyle BL, defending, told the court his client is going to be a father to his first child later this year. Counsel informed the judge that Brophy now worked as a security guard but was also training for a job in construction, and wants to provide stability for his child and contribute to society. Counsel described Brophy's experience of being homeless for 25 years as desolate, but detailed his involvement with charities to publicly assist in providing accommodation to others, and a pro-social lifestyle now. Anthony Brophy Stressing positive developments, counsel said his client featured in an RTE documentary on the homeless crisis, which helped him to get accommodation. The barrister said Brophy was employed as a fisherman at the time and, coming home from work, still had the knife, and it should never have happened. However, the judge, having been shown the blade, did not accept that as a reason. 'It is not a situation where he had just walked off the beach with a fishing rod and a knife, he was travelling on the Luas with a knife in his hand,' he remarked. Brophy stood silently throughout the hearing. Judge Hughes noted all the factors, including the previous offending, and cited the Justice Minister that there should be an expectation of a possible prison sentence for knife crime. He had set a headline sentence of nine months but suspended the final three while ordering Brophy to attend anger management counselling and remain on supervised probation for two years.
