Jackson Skipper is returning to Vermont basketball.
The former Catamount — who left Burlington to play at Oral Roberts this past winter — is transferring back to Vermont, The Athletic's Tobias Bass reported on X, the site formerly known as Twitter, on Monday afternoon. Skipper also announced his commitment to Vermont on social media.

The 6-foot-6, 190-pound Skipper spent his first two collegiate seasons at Vermont, redshirting the 2022-23 year and playing a reserve role in 2023-24, averaging 7.1 minutes per contest in 11 appearances, as Vermont completed an America East championship three-peat.
Skipper started 11 of 26 games for Oral Roberts, Skipper's hometown school located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He put up averages of 4.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while shooting 36.1% on his 3-point attempts. He reached double figures four times, including a career-high 20 points in a 92-54 victory over Texas A&M-Texarkana in December.
Oral Roberts went 7-23 this past season, losing in the play-in game of the Summit League tournament.

Vermont previously picked up forwards Gus Yalden, Ben Michels and Trey Woodyard via the transfer portal this offseason. Head coach John Becker and his Vermont staff still need to fill three more scholarship spots for the 2025-26 campaign.

Simone Biles Dragged Into Plastic Surgery Talk Amid Riley Gaines Drama

Simone Biles is turning up the heat on vacation, but attention has been drawn to something else. As if the Olympic champ's drama of exiting X amid her feud with Riley Gaines was not enough, Biles' vacation photos have kicked off rumors that she may have undergone breast enhancement surgery. Simone Biles had previously admitted to using Botox. While celebrating her birthday last year, the gymnast confessed to having undergone the procedure, but added that she wasn't a fan of it. Biles is making waves again, this time, not for her flips, but for what some say looks like a new figure. The 28-year-old is vacationing in San Pedro, Belize, with her husband, Jonathan Owens, and her latest bikini snaps are fueling rumors that she may have undergone breast enhancement surgery. Biles shared several beachside photos, including a close-up mirror selfie that showed off a noticeably fuller chest. Though she has not confirmed or denied the speculation, Biles has previously been open about using Botox. That has not stopped the internet from buzzing, especially after plastic surgery influencer Dana Omari reposted the image on her Instagram stories, writing, "Simone Biles with the breast aug!! She looks incredible," as reported by Daily Mail. Despite her recent appearance, Biles has long been candid about body image and embracing her natural beauty. In a past interview, the star opened up about the harsh scrutiny she faced early in her career, saying critics often targeted her hair and muscular frame. "But God made me this way, and I feel like if I didn't have these legs or these calves, I wouldn't be able to tumble as high as I can and have all of these moves named after me," she shared. Her confidence has continued to grow over the years. In a 2023 conversation with Harper's Bazaar, Biles also explained how her views on beauty have shifted with time and experience. "Now, I would still say my personal preference is always having a clean face and just being confident in who I am," she said. Biles is catching heat from the former swimmer, who is doubling down after the American gymnast's quiet exit from X (formerly Twitter). The Blast reports that Gaines publicly mocked Biles on social media, claiming she deleted her account to escape the fallout from her stance on transgender athletes in women's sports. The political commentator did not hold back, saying Biles was "rightfully ridiculed" for what she called a "morally indefensible" position. Gaines also criticized Biles' earlier apology, describing it as "groveling" and insincere. She suggested the gymnastics star could not handle the backlash and chose to vanish from the platform instead. "Sad to see such a phenom go down like this," Gaines wrote, ending her comments with a sharp jab at Biles. The women's online feud that turned personal was all over the inclusion of a transgender athlete on a high school softball team. After Gaines criticized Minnesota's Champlin Park softball team for allowing a transgender girl to play in their state championship win, Biles did not stay quiet. She fired back with a string of sharp tweets, calling Gaines a "bully," a "sore loser," and even threw in a body-shaming jab, "Bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male." Gaines hit back with just as much force. She accused Biles of abandoning women's sports and failing to comprehend the consequences of her stance. Gaines even dragged up Biles' past with convicted sex abuser Larry Nassar, sharing an old video of Biles' emotional testimony and calling her a hypocrite. Biles may be facing drama online, but that did not stop her from hitting pause and enjoying a sunny escape with her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens. Marca highlighted that she let loose during a beach day getaway, posting a playful video to her Instagram stories that showed her downing colorful shots in the middle of the day. Sunlight, waves, and drinks, Biles was all in on the summer mood. Owens, who plays safety for the Chicago Bears, joined in on the fun, though his face said it all when he tossed one back. His expression went from relaxed to slightly stunned, proof that the shots packed more of a punch than expected. Still, he kept up with Biles, rolling with the moment like a pro. All eyes are now on Simone Biles, but not for her athletic skills.

Auburn target Adam Bologoun-Ali changes commitment date

The four-star Florida linebacker shared on social media that he needs two more days to make his college decision. Auburn football is in a great position to land a talented linebacker from Florida. However, Auburn fans will need to wait an extra two days to learn if he will be a Tiger. Adam Balogoun-Ali, a four-star linebacker from West Palm Beach, Florida, shared on social media Wednesday that he will now commit on July 8, two days after his original commitment date of July 6. Auburn, along with SEC rivals Missouri and Kentucky, are in the mix to land the commitment of the top-30 linebacker. Last month, Jeffrey Lee of Auburn Live submitted a prediction that favored Auburn landing Balogoun-Ali, which would be massive for a program that has fallen over 60 spots in 2026 recruiting after losing several blue-chip players to other programs. Balogoun-Ali shares that defensive coordinator DJ Durkin is the biggest factor in Auburn remaining in his final three. 'Coach Durkin is great,' Balogoun-Ali said. 'He is a genuine dude, and someone I listen to and believe in. His main message to me is that I am the main guy that he wants. He has to recruit others because I am taking visits, but if I committed, he tells me he would shut down the recruitment of others.' Auburn ranks No. 89 in 247Sports' 2026 recruiting rankings, with zero linebacker commits. Should Balogoun-Ali commit to Auburn, he would join EDGE Hezekiah Harris and QB Peyton Falzone as a four-star commitment in Auburn's 2026 haul. Max Homa bluntly addresses why he left X: ‘Safe haven for a–holes'

Golfer Max Homa had made a name for himself outside of the golf course on X, where he built up a sizable following, and shocked everyone when he announced earlier this year he was leaving the social media platform. Speaking with reporters at TPC Deere Run ahead of the John Deere Classic, Homa addressed why he stepped away from X and how it's become a 'safe haven for a–holes.' 'The reason for that is just the vitriol you read online. It has become a safe haven for people who are, I think, angry at themselves. It is quite absurd how comfortable people feel writing awful things,' Homa said. Getty Images 'Twitter or X or whatever is an awful, awful place. It took me a while to catch on to how impactful that can be and how much of a waste of energy. I miss the connection with the fans, but nothing comes without so much hate and anger. There's a lot of love in there, too, but, unfortunately, it gets overwhelmed with one really bad one.' Advertisement Homa, 34, suggested that the encroachment of legal sports gambling could have led to some of the vitriol that has permeated online over the years. 'People say some bad, bad things on the internet. You get people telling you you should die on the internet. It has nothing to do with not connecting. I'd love to keep connecting with people, but I try to do it in person a bit more because I have yet to meet somebody in person who has said anything even remotely mean. 'It's a safe haven for a–holes, for lack of a better term. Sorry, PGA Tour.' Max Homa walks on the eighth green during the second round of the Rocket Mortgage Classic golf tournament. Aaron Doster-Imagn Images Advertisement In March, when Homa had stepped away from the platform, he called X a place 'for the sick' and that he was 'sick' for how much he used X. Homa has struggled recently, missing seven cuts in 16 tournaments this season. He only has one top-25 finish, which came at The Masters.
