Former Vermont basketball player is returning to the Catamounts
The former Catamount — who left Burlington to play at Oral Roberts this past winter — is transferring back to Vermont, The Athletic's Tobias Bass reported on X, the site formerly known as Twitter, on Monday afternoon. Skipper also announced his commitment to Vermont on social media.

The 6-foot-6, 190-pound Skipper spent his first two collegiate seasons at Vermont, redshirting the 2022-23 year and playing a reserve role in 2023-24, averaging 7.1 minutes per contest in 11 appearances, as Vermont completed an America East championship three-peat.
Skipper started 11 of 26 games for Oral Roberts, Skipper's hometown school located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He put up averages of 4.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while shooting 36.1% on his 3-point attempts. He reached double figures four times, including a career-high 20 points in a 92-54 victory over Texas A&M-Texarkana in December.
Oral Roberts went 7-23 this past season, losing in the play-in game of the Summit League tournament.

Vermont previously picked up forwards Gus Yalden, Ben Michels and Trey Woodyard via the transfer portal this offseason. Head coach John Becker and his Vermont staff still need to fill three more scholarship spots for the 2025-26 campaign.

Auburn target Adam Bologoun-Ali changes commitment date
The four-star Florida linebacker shared on social media that he needs two more days to make his college decision. Auburn football is in a great position to land a talented linebacker from Florida. However, Auburn fans will need to wait an extra two days to learn if he will be a Tiger. Adam Balogoun-Ali, a four-star linebacker from West Palm Beach, Florida, shared on social media Wednesday that he will now commit on July 8, two days after his original commitment date of July 6. Auburn, along with SEC rivals Missouri and Kentucky, are in the mix to land the commitment of the top-30 linebacker. Last month, Jeffrey Lee of Auburn Live submitted a prediction that favored Auburn landing Balogoun-Ali, which would be massive for a program that has fallen over 60 spots in 2026 recruiting after losing several blue-chip players to other programs. Balogoun-Ali shares that defensive coordinator DJ Durkin is the biggest factor in Auburn remaining in his final three. 'Coach Durkin is great,' Balogoun-Ali said. 'He is a genuine dude, and someone I listen to and believe in. His main message to me is that I am the main guy that he wants. He has to recruit others because I am taking visits, but if I committed, he tells me he would shut down the recruitment of others.' Max Homa bluntly addresses why he left X: ‘Safe haven for a–holes'
Golfer Max Homa had made a name for himself outside of the golf course on X, where he built up a sizable following, and shocked everyone when he announced earlier this year he was leaving the social media platform. Speaking with reporters at TPC Deere Run ahead of the John Deere Classic, Homa addressed why he stepped away from X and how it's become a 'safe haven for a–holes.' 'The reason for that is just the vitriol you read online. It has become a safe haven for people who are, I think, angry at themselves. It is quite absurd how comfortable people feel writing awful things,' Homa said.
