United had their worst top-flight season in half a century, capped by their Europa League Final defeat by Spurs.
But Amorim is convinced he has EVERYTHING in place to follow in the long-term footsteps of United managerial greats Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson and create his own dynasty.
Amorim said: 'I want to stay at this club. I want to stay 20 years.
'That is my goal and I truly believe in that.

'When I was at Sporting, I was waiting for the right club. I know it sounds crazy. But I chose this club. I had the feeling.
'Something will happen. In some moments I will be lucky. I had a lot of luck during my career as a manager and my idea is to stay for many years.
'I don't want to experience pain. I just want to bond, to be part of it. I will stay here as long as I can.
'But we know that the results will dictate that. I know that last season I used up all the credits but I'm ready to start fresh.'
United's last Prem success was in Fergie's final season of 2012-13.
Amorim is the sixth full-time manager appointed since the Scot left 12 years ago, with United's reputation flagging as rivals City and Liverpool have replaced them as dominant forces.

But the Portuguese is convinced the decline is a temporary blip and that United's return to greatness is inevitable.
He added: 'I know there was a massive gap last season between where we finish and the European places.

'But this is Manchester United. We need to return to Europe and get back to where the club should be.
'I have no doubts, because there are some things that you cannot buy.
'This club has them. The pedigree, the history, the fans. We have that.
'Then the money. We have money. We have money without the Champions League.
I want to stay at this club. I want to stay 20 years."
Ruben Amorim
'So we can spend, we have money and we'll have more money in the future. And we are doing everything.
"You talk with Omar (Berrarda, United's chief executive) and all these guys, they are making all the strategy to have more money in the future.
'So that will not be a problem. Then the culture.
"If we have a different culture, with all that, with all the pedigree, the money, all these things, we can return to our place. And that is clear.'

Jorge Costa dead aged 53 as tributes pour in for Porto legend and Jose Mourinho's Champions League winning captain

Former defender Costa has died at the age of 53 after suffering a cardiac arrest at the club's training ground in Olival, according to reports Jorge Costa, Jose Mourinho 's Champions League-winning skipper at FC Porto in 2004, has passed away at the tender age of just 53. ‌ It's believed Costa, who served as Porto 's director of football, collapsed from a heart attack at the club's Olival training facility according to Portuguese reports. ‌ Costa began his footballing journey at Porto and made a remarkable 383 appearances for the club, claiming 24 honours during his time there - including that unforgettable Champions League victory in the 2003-04 season and the UEFA Cup triumph the previous year. ‌ He also enjoyed a stint in the Premier League after joining Charlton Athletic on loan during the 2001-02 season. The defender featured 26 times for the Addicks under manager Alan Curbishley. Following his departure from Porto, Costa went on to manage several European sides before returning to his beloved club as director of football last year, reports the Mirror. Porto announced his passing on Tuesday through a heartfelt message on Twitter, describing him as "a symbol" of the institution. "Jorge Costa has left us," their statement declared. "One of us, a leader, captain, example. A symbol of FC Porto. Thank you for being FC Porto until the end. Forever, Jorge Costa." Tributes immediately flooded in from across Portuguese football, with Porto's city rivals Sporting Lisbon also honouring Costa's memory. Their tribute read: "Sporting Clube de Portugal expresses its sorrow for the passing of Jorge Costa, football director of FC Porto and former Portuguese international." ‌ Sporting Clube de Portugal has expressed its profound sorrow at the passing of a notable figure in FC Porto and Portuguese football, extending its deepest sympathies to his loved ones. Liga Portugal also conveyed its heartfelt condolences to Costa's family, highlighting the ex-player's "fighting spirit and leadership". ‌ The statement read: "In this moment of grief, Liga Portugal extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, FC Porto, and all those who shared his passion for football. Rest in peace." Mourinho reminisced warmly about an incident with Costa, illustrating his remarkable impact as Porto's captain. The former Chelsea manager recounted: "I had captains who were not leaders. I had one at Porto, Jorge Costa. One day, we were losing a match against a team called Belenenses, we were down 2-0 at halftime. ‌ "I was walking to the locker room, and everyone saw I was furious. "When I was about to enter, Jorge Costa told me, 'Wait outside for two minutes, please.' He went in, closed the door, and did the dirty work for me. "Then he opened the door and said, 'Coach us.' Because in the locker room, he did everything I would have done. "We won 3-2. He was a centre-back, had never scored goals in his life; that day, he scored two. Captain and leader are very different things. "You can't buy leaders. You can't manufacture leaders. And when you have them, your team is one step ahead."

Michael Owen predicts where Arsenal and Chelsea will finish next season

Michael Owen has revealed his Premier League top-four prediction for the new season and backed Liverpool to retain the title. Liverpool clinched a record-equalling 20th league title last season, finishing 10 points clear of second-placed Arsenal in Arne Slot's first year at Anfield. It was the third season in a row that Mikel Arteta's side finished as runners-up, with the dominant force in English football over the last decade – Manchester City – finishing third. Chelsea beat Nottingham Forest on the final day to finish fourth and secure their return to the Champions League, with Newcastle United also qualifying for Europe's top club competition at the expense of Aston Villa and Forest. Ex-England striker Owen is usually wary of giving title predictions before the summer transfer window shuts but has seen enough from Liverpool over the past 12 months to back his former club to go back-to-back. In The Mixer: Exclusive analysis, FPL tips and transfer talk sent straight to your inbox every week – click here and sign up before Friday to make sure you don't miss the first edition. 'Sometimes at this stage of the year you think you'd like to see the transfer window play out before making a title prediction,' he told Metro via AskGamblers. 'There's still a lot of business to be done but I don't really feel like that at the moment. 'I think Liverpool are far and away the team with the best chance of winning it. I think they've got like a 70% chance of winning it, I really fancy them. 'They were ten points clear last season and they took their foot off the gas. It could've been 20. Even if it ended up being 15, that's a massive gap. 'And they've signed some incredible players over the last month or so. I just think they were the best, and they've strengthened from a position of strength. I think they're going to win it again.' Owen expects 'serious team' Arsenal to finish second for the fourth year in a row and says it would be 'foolish' to think Arteta is under pressure. The Gunners struggled with injuries in the second-half of last season and have spent over £200m so far this summer on the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi and Noni Madueke. Liverpool Arsenal Chelsea Manchester City 'Looking down the pecking order, I like Arsenal,' Owen said. 'I think it's foolish for fans to think the manager is under pressure just because they've come second three years in a row. 'Arsenal have shown consistency. They've consistently been good and had reasons to believe they were unlucky not to get more points. 'I mean, Bukayo Saka was injured for a large part of last season, Kai Havertz was too. They're probably their two main attacking players. Other key players were out as well. 'So, I think they had a lot of injuries to attacking players that you would say were harsh, and now they've gone and bought a proven goalscorer. 'It's not a guarantee he'll succeed, but there are reasons to believe Arsenal can do better than last season. They're already doing well; they got to the semi-finals of the Champions League. They're a serious team. 'People talk about Arteta, if he has a bad start to the season, because they've got a tough start to the season looking at their fixtures, but even if they had a tricky start to the season, you would be absolutely mad to think he's not the right man. 'He's knocking on the door, and the door's going to bang open soon. Whether it's this season or not remains to be seen.' Owen believes Chelsea's victory over Forest on the final day could be a sliding doors moment and tipped the 'improving' Blues to finish third this season, above Man City. There were more encouraging signs at Stamford Bridge over the summer as Maresca led Chelsea to victory in the controversial Club World Cup tournament. While Owen is excited about 'very good' Chelsea, he is less optimistic about Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, having recently downplayed their chances of winning the Premier League. 'Then we go further down and you're looking at Manchester City and Chelsea,' the 45-year-old added. 'Chelsea are getting better. 'The thing I find ironic about Chelsea is if they had lost to Nottingham Forest [on the final day of the season] and missed out on Champions League, everyone would be saying it's the worst season in the world, and the manager would've been under pressure. 'All of a sudden they qualify and they then win the Conference League, which they could have done with their eyes closed, and then win the Club World Cup. More Trending 'Now everyone's falling in love with Chelsea and thinks they're great. They are a very good team, and they are getting better. They're a very young team. 'But it just makes you laugh, doesn't it? One game last season, if he had lost against Nottingham Forest, would Enzo Maresca still be in a job? 'And now all of a sudden, in the blink of an eye, he's qualified for the Champions League, and he's won two trophies and now the whole picture is different. 'But they are good, and they are improving, and they have got a chance. I definitely think they'll get into the top four. My top four would be Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City, in that order.' For more stories like this, check our sport page. Man United and Newcastle submit contrasting offers for Benjamin Sesko as transfer battle heats up

Manchester United have submitted a first offer worth up to €85m for Benjamin Sesko as they battle with Newcastle for the RB Leipzig striker. Earlier on Monday, Newcastle submitted their second offer for Sesko, worth €80m plus a further €10m in potential add-ons, in the hope of getting a deal over the line after seeing their first bid rejected. Newcastle want to secure a replacement striker for manager Eddie Howe as Liverpool pursue Alexander Isak, his top goalscorer last season. But The Independent understands that United are convinced Sesko would prefer a move to Old Trafford over St James' Park. United had been cautious, reluctant to get into a bidding war, but have now played their hand as the race intensifies, submitted an offer of €75m plus €10m in add-ons. Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim also wants to bolster his attacking line, with Rasmus Hojlund 's future uncertain. The Slovenia international, 22, has long been on the club's radar but is also a target of Newcastle, who missed out on Frankfurt's Hugo Ekitike to Liverpool and have an unsettled star in Isak. Amorim's side had looked at Liam Delap earlier in the summer, only for the Ipswich striker to favour a move to Chelsea. They are still considering Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins as an alternative if Newcastle win the battle for Sesko. The Red Devils are returning from the United States after taking part in the Premier League Summer Series, having so far made two key summer acquisitions. Matheus Cunha joined from Wolves in a £62.5m deal last month, with Bryan Mbeumo last week following in a move that could cost up to £71m after protracted negotiations with Brentford. Marcus Rashford has joined Barcelona on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent switch. The club are still trying to shift Antony, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia.
