United had their worst top-flight season in half a century, capped by their Europa League Final defeat by Spurs.
But Amorim is convinced he has EVERYTHING in place to follow in the long-term footsteps of United managerial greats Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson and create his own dynasty.
Amorim said: 'I want to stay at this club. I want to stay 20 years.
'That is my goal and I truly believe in that.

'When I was at Sporting, I was waiting for the right club. I know it sounds crazy. But I chose this club. I had the feeling.
'Something will happen. In some moments I will be lucky. I had a lot of luck during my career as a manager and my idea is to stay for many years.
'I don't want to experience pain. I just want to bond, to be part of it. I will stay here as long as I can.
'But we know that the results will dictate that. I know that last season I used up all the credits but I'm ready to start fresh.'
United's last Prem success was in Fergie's final season of 2012-13.
Amorim is the sixth full-time manager appointed since the Scot left 12 years ago, with United's reputation flagging as rivals City and Liverpool have replaced them as dominant forces.

But the Portuguese is convinced the decline is a temporary blip and that United's return to greatness is inevitable.
He added: 'I know there was a massive gap last season between where we finish and the European places.

'But this is Manchester United. We need to return to Europe and get back to where the club should be.
'I have no doubts, because there are some things that you cannot buy.
'This club has them. The pedigree, the history, the fans. We have that.
'Then the money. We have money. We have money without the Champions League.
I want to stay at this club. I want to stay 20 years."

'So we can spend, we have money and we'll have more money in the future. And we are doing everything.
"You talk with Omar (Berrarda, United's chief executive) and all these guys, they are making all the strategy to have more money in the future.
'So that will not be a problem. Then the culture.
"If we have a different culture, with all that, with all the pedigree, the money, all these things, we can return to our place. And that is clear.'

Michael Owen predicts where Arsenal and Chelsea will finish next season
Michael Owen has revealed his Premier League top-four prediction for the new season and backed Liverpool to retain the title. Liverpool clinched a record-equalling 20th league title last season, finishing 10 points clear of second-placed Arsenal in Arne Slot's first year at Anfield. It was the third season in a row that Mikel Arteta's side finished as runners-up, with the dominant force in English football over the last decade – Manchester City – finishing third. Chelsea beat Nottingham Forest on the final day to finish fourth and secure their return to the Champions League, with Newcastle United also qualifying for Europe's top club competition at the expense of Aston Villa and Forest. Ex-England striker Owen is usually wary of giving title predictions before the summer transfer window shuts but has seen enough from Liverpool over the past 12 months to back his former club to go back-to-back. While Owen is excited about 'very good' Chelsea, he is less optimistic about Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, having recently downplayed their chances of winning the Premier League. 'Then we go further down and you're looking at Manchester City and Chelsea,' the 45-year-old added. 'Chelsea are getting better. 'The thing I find ironic about Chelsea is if they had lost to Nottingham Forest [on the final day of the season] and missed out on Champions League, everyone would be saying it's the worst season in the world, and the manager would've been under pressure. 'All of a sudden they qualify and they then win the Conference League, which they could have done with their eyes closed, and then win the Club World Cup. More Trending 'Now everyone's falling in love with Chelsea and thinks they're great. They are a very good team, and they are getting better. They're a very young team. 'But it just makes you laugh, doesn't it? One game last season, if he had lost against Nottingham Forest, would Enzo Maresca still be in a job? 'And now all of a sudden, in the blink of an eye, he's qualified for the Champions League, and he's won two trophies and now the whole picture is different. 'But they are good, and they are improving, and they have got a chance. I definitely think they'll get into the top four. Man United and Newcastle submit contrasting offers for Benjamin Sesko as transfer battle heats up
Manchester United have submitted a first offer worth up to €85m for Benjamin Sesko as they battle with Newcastle for the RB Leipzig striker. Earlier on Monday, Newcastle submitted their second offer for Sesko, worth €80m plus a further €10m in potential add-ons, in the hope of getting a deal over the line after seeing their first bid rejected. Newcastle want to secure a replacement striker for manager Eddie Howe as Liverpool pursue Alexander Isak, his top goalscorer last season. But The Independent understands that United are convinced Sesko would prefer a move to Old Trafford over St James' Park. United had been cautious, reluctant to get into a bidding war, but have now played their hand as the race intensifies, submitted an offer of €75m plus €10m in add-ons. Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim also wants to bolster his attacking line, with Rasmus Hojlund 's future uncertain. The Slovenia international, 22, has long been on the club's radar but is also a target of Newcastle, who missed out on Frankfurt's Hugo Ekitike to Liverpool and have an unsettled star in Isak. Amorim's side had looked at Liam Delap earlier in the summer, only for the Ipswich striker to favour a move to Chelsea. They are still considering Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins as an alternative if Newcastle win the battle for Sesko. The Red Devils are returning from the United States after taking part in the Premier League Summer Series, having so far made two key summer acquisitions. Matheus Cunha joined from Wolves in a £62.5m deal last month, with Bryan Mbeumo last week following in a move that could cost up to £71m after protracted negotiations with Brentford. Marcus Rashford has joined Barcelona on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent switch. The club are still trying to shift Antony, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia.
