Singapore Land Group (SGX:U06) Is Paying Out A Larger Dividend Than Last Year
AI is about to change healthcare. These 20 stocks are working on everything from early diagnostics to drug discovery. The best part - they are all under $10bn in marketcap - there is still time to get in early.
Even a low dividend yield can be attractive if it is sustained for years on end. However, prior to this announcement, Singapore Land Group's dividend was comfortably covered by both cash flow and earnings. As a result, a large proportion of what it earned was being reinvested back into the business.
EPS is set to fall by 14.0% over the next 12 months if recent trends continue. Assuming the dividend continues along recent trends, we believe the payout ratio could be 27%, which we are pretty comfortable with and we think is feasible on an earnings basis.
View our latest analysis for Singapore Land Group
Even over a long history of paying dividends, the company's distributions have been remarkably stable. The dividend has gone from an annual total of SGD0.03 in 2015 to the most recent total annual payment of SGD0.045. This means that it has been growing its distributions at 4.1% per annum over that time. Although we can't deny that the dividend has been remarkably stable in the past, the growth has been pretty muted.
Some investors will be chomping at the bit to buy some of the company's stock based on its dividend history. However, things aren't all that rosy. Over the past five years, it looks as though Singapore Land Group's EPS has declined at around 14% a year. Such rapid declines definitely have the potential to constrain dividend payments if the trend continues into the future.
In summary, it's great to see that the company can raise the dividend and keep it in a sustainable range. The earnings coverage is acceptable for now, but with earnings on the decline we would definitely keep an eye on the payout ratio. The dividend looks okay, but there have been some issues in the past, so we would be a little bit cautious.
Market movements attest to how highly valued a consistent dividend policy is compared to one which is more unpredictable. Still, investors need to consider a host of other factors, apart from dividend payments, when analysing a company. For example, we've identified 2 warning signs for Singapore Land Group (1 makes us a bit uncomfortable!) that you should be aware of before investing. Lucid Group (LCID) Joins New Partnership To Advance Domestic Critical Mineral Production
Lucid Group recently announced a strategic partnership for domestic mineral development, aiming to strengthen its supply chain through the Minerals for National Automotive Competitiveness Collaboration. This initiative, alongside improvements such as Lucid Air Model updates and advancements in autonomous vehicle technology, has correlated with the company's share price increase of 43% over the past month. While the market rose by 1.7% in the last week, Lucid's significant developments related to product enhancement and strategic alliances likely provided additional momentum, setting the company apart in the broader context of a market that is up 18% over the past year. We've discovered 3 possible red flags for Lucid Group (1 is significant!) that you should be aware of before investing here. AI is about to change healthcare. These 26 stocks are working on everything from early diagnostics to drug discovery. The best part - they are all under $10b in market cap - there's still time to get in early. The recent collaboration on domestic mineral development is set to enhance Lucid Group's supply chain resilience, likely contributing positively to its growth narrative. The anticipated product enhancements and strategic alliances align with Lucid's focus on revenue diversification and market positioning, especially with the upcoming launch of the Lucid Gravity SUV. These moves are expected to spur revenue growth and operational efficiency, potentially improving future profitability, though analysts anticipate continued unprofitability over the next three years. This is a crucial aspect as the company's financial stability remains sensitive to production constraints and broader market dynamics. Over the past year, Lucid Group's total shareholder return was a 6.10% decline. This performance trails both the US Auto industry, which returned 44.6%, and the broader US market, which increased 17.7% in the same period. Despite this gap, the current developments may support improved future performance as execution of strategic initiatives continues. Given its current share price of US$3.08 compared to the consensus price target of US$2.53, the market appears more optimistic than analysts' forecasts, though the target implies potential downside. Investors might consider these factors in evaluating Lucid's potential for achieving its ambitious growth strategies and the valuation implied by market expectations. Honeywell International (HON) Raises 2025 Sales Guidance, Reports Q2 Revenue Growth
Honeywell International recently raised its earnings guidance for the full year 2025, following strong second-quarter results with revenue climbing 8% year-over-year. This financial strength coincided with a price move of 19% over the last quarter, aligning with the broader market's robust 18% growth over the past 12 months. Honeywell's positive financial news, including increased guidance and strategic steps such as evaluating alternatives for certain business units and a significant acquisition, seem to have added weight to its share price performance, supporting its upward trajectory alongside broader market trends. We've discovered 1 possible red flag for Honeywell International that you should be aware of before investing here. Explore 26 top quantum computing companies leading the revolution in next-gen technology and shaping the future with breakthroughs in quantum algorithms, superconducting qubits, and cutting-edge research. The recent news of Honeywell International's earnings guidance revision and strong quarterly results may offer insights into the company's long-term trajectory. Over the last five years, Honeywell's total shareholder return, including dividends, reached 71.26%, reflecting an enduring capacity to generate investment value. However, in the past year, Honeywell underperformed compared to the broader US Market and the Industrials industry, which provided higher returns. This mixed picture suggests that while the company has successfully delivered value in the long term, it faces challenges that could impact short-term performance relative to peers. Honeywell's updated guidance, combined with strategic decisions like evaluating business alternatives and acquisitions, signals a focus on repositioning for future growth. These moves could influence revenue and earnings forecasts by bolstering targeted segments such as automation and aerospace. However, the share price, sitting at $239.27, is slightly below the consensus price target of $246.63, indicating that some market participants may perceive limited upside in the short term. These expectations are aligned with concerns over tariffs and global economic conditions, which might weigh on revenue prospects and margin expansion efforts despite the company's ongoing strategies.
