Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra battery and charging leak suggests subtle but smart upgrades

Phone Arena3 days ago
Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has been in the leaks recently, and we even saw its slight redesign leak a few days ago. Now, the tablet's battery and charging speeds have leaked, giving us a little more info about the upcoming device. A Samsung device carrying model numbers SM-X930, SM-X936B, and SM-X936N has been spotted in Finland's SGS Fimko certification platform. These model numbers are known to be associated with the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The document shows that the device sports an 11,600mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. As you can probably tell already, there's no upgrade in the charging speed department. The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra also sported 45W charging speeds. However, the battery cell is bigger now, at 11,600mAh from the 11,200mAh on the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. It's not a huge jump, but it's still there.

It should offer better battery life coupled with the more power-efficient chip, rumored for the device. The Galaxy Tab S11 and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra are said to come with a 3nm chip (this could be the Dimensity 9400+ as per rumors), while the Galaxy Tab S10 + and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra use a 4nm chip (the Dimensity 9300+). So this more power-efficient processor should allow for better battery life on the Tab S11 Ultra. 12GB of RAM is expected for the base models, and 16GB of RAM for the models sporting 1TB of storage. Both upcoming tablets are rumored to come with One UI 8.0 (based on Android 16) out of the box. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has already shown its face in leaks, and we now suspect it will have only one front-facing camera instead of the dual front-facing camera setup that its predecessor came with. On the back, the tablet is expected to rock two cameras. These two tablets are said to come out before the end of 2025. They will face Apple's powerful iPad Pro and the iPad Air for the hearts of tablet buyers. Apple recently released new models from the iPad Air lineup, quite similar to the older generation in terms of design but with specced-up internals. An M5-powered iPad Pro is expected later this year. Let's see what Samsung has in store to compete! When you switch to Total Wireless, keep your number & grab 3 mo. of 5G

This is the Oukitel WP210 rugged smartphone with a 108MP camera, 8,800 mAh battery, and IP69K rating

Rugged smartphone maker Oukitel will introduce the Oukitel WP210 soon. The brand hasn't revealed its launch date yet, but we've received its images and specifications exclusively from a reliable source, telling us what to expect from the WP210 rugged smartphone. The Oukitel WP210 has the Dimensity 8200 SoC at the helm with 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage. The smartphone will run Android 15 out of the box, but we don't know how many years of software support it will receive. The Oukitel WP210 is built around a 6.7" 120Hz FullHD+ AMOLED display having 550 nits typical brightness and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It also has a fingerprint reader underneath for biometric authentication. The WP210 will feature four cameras. There will be a 32MP selfie camera (Sony IMX615-AAJH5-C) on the front and a triple camera setup on the rear, which will be a combination of a 108MP primary camera (Samsung S5KHM6SX), a 2MP macro camera (GalaxyCore GC02M1), and a depth unit (GalaxyCore GC032A). The Oukitel WP210 will pack an 8,800 mAh battery with 45W charging support. It will also have 10W reverse wired charging, allowing it to be used as a power bank to charge other devices. Other highlights of the Oukitel WP210 include NFC, IP68 and IP69K ratings, and MIL-STD-810H certification. The smartphone will be 13.7mm thick and weigh 311 g. We are told it will be advertised as "a rugged phone built for fast performance from urban missions to outdoor leisure without the bulk." The Oukitel WP210's target audience includes outdoor workers who value durability, outdoor enthusiasts (hikers, travelers, cyclists) who prefer camera performance and long-lasting battery, and businessmen who want smooth performance and long battery endurance. The Oukitel WP210 will come in red, black, and gray colors. Its launch price will be less than $400 (€345/INR34,880), and it will be available through Oukitel's website starting mid-August and on Amazon by the end of August.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE will also feature a smaller battery, real image leaked

*Header image is referential and showcases the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. | Image credit — PhoneArena The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 FE will apparently ( translated source ) feature a smaller battery than its predecessor: the Galaxy S24 FE . In addition, the leak has provided a real-world look at the S25 FE and, unsurprisingly, it looks just like the FE model that came before it. This is the Galaxy S25 FE. | Image credit — Setsuna Digital The reduction is battery capacity is supposed to facilitate the other upgrades on the phone. For example, it's thinner than the S24 FE ( 7.4 mm instead of 8 mm ), and it's lighter too ( 190 grams instead of 213 grams ). This is further proof of Apple and Samsung diverging in how they approach their smartphones moving forward. The battery on the Galaxy S25 FE will be 4500 mAh, while the S24 FE had a battery capacity of 4,700 mAh. While a reduction of 200 mAh isn't too bad, it's still a bit disappointing to see. Especially considering that previous reports were saying that the phone will have a 4,900 mAh battery instead. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra kept the same battery as many of its predecessors. | Video credit — Samsung However, I would advise taking this leak with a grain of salt. The thing is, this insider is generally very reputable, and there's another tipster backing up the claim of a smaller battery. However, a recent post which listed all of the Galaxy S25 FE specs claimed to have made a typo, and written down '4,500' instead of '4,900'. I would not be surprised if the typo caught on and people began to spread it around as fact. After the new Galaxy S25 Edge, it's very plausible that Samsung might sacrifice battery life for slimmer phones, but it's equally possible that the exact opposite happens. The S25 Edge will directly take on the upcoming new model by Apple, the iPhone 17 Air. I don't think that Samsung needs to sacrifice battery life on other models, and so I wouldn't pout about the S25 FE just yet. For all we know, this leak may be completely wrong, no matter how reliable the source is.

Samsung Galaxy A17 leaked promo materials reveal a chipset twist

A few days ago, renders purportedly depicting Samsung's upcoming Galaxy A17 got leaked, and earlier today we saw it in both 5G and 4G iterations listed by a European retailer, with pricing revealed. Now, even more details about the A17 have been outed, along with new official-looking renders and a ton of promo materials. According to these, the A17 5G will be powered by Samsung's Exynos 1330 SoC, not the 1380 as previously rumored. Samsung Galaxy A17 5G newly leaked renders The phone will come with 128GB of storage and 4/6/8GB of RAM, and one 256GB option with 8GB of RAM. MicroSD cards up to 2TB will be supported. The handset measures 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.5 mm and weighs 192g. It has a 6.7-inch 1080x2340 Super AMOLED screen with a waterdrop notch, 90 Hz refresh rate, 1,100-nit peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus on top, a triple rear camera system (50 MP main with OIS, 5 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro), a 13 MP selfie camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging (zero to 50% advertised to take 30 minutes). Color options will be blue, black, and gray. It's IP54 certified for dust and splash resistance, and comes with a promise of 6 major Android updates and 6 years of security patches. Keep in mind, however, that it will be launching with Android 15 on board, so the first one of those six updates will be Android 16. The back is made from glass fiber reinforced polymer, which is advertised as being stronger compared to the "Glastic" on the A16 5G. In the box will be a 25W charger, a USB Type-C cable, a SIM ejection tool, and a Quick Start Guide. Note that the presence of the charger in the box may vary depending on market. Compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy A17 5G is thinner and lighter, has a different chipset, and added OIS to the main camera. The design is changed too for the camera island, which is now one oval thing and not three separate round ones. That's about it, and this is definitely not the biggest upgrade.
