Knysna police probe suspected murder-suicide
Police spokesperson Sergeant Christopher Spies said at about 4pm on Friday, a police officer accompanied a social worker to visit a woman at the house.
'On arrival, the police member forced the door of the residence open.
'They discovered the body of the woman, aged 31, with multiple stab wounds, on the bed.
'The body of a man, aged 37, was found with a rope around his neck.
'Both were declared dead by medical personnel on the scene.'
Spies said it was believed the two had been in a relationship.
The matter is under investigation.

Kunene said when questioned by police about whether he was an associate of Molefe, he had told them that he only knew him from a distance. 'They asked for his number and I told them I don't have it. I then said to them I'm sure they have his number. To assure them that I did not have his number, I told them to punch it on my phone and see if it would appear. They then said I must show them the message of the person who sent the message and I showed them. 'The person had even sent the name of the road not the place and then later sent me another message to say which address I must use. How can I be sent a message from a place that I have been before?' Asked whether he had ever met Molefe before his arrest on Monday, Kunene said he had only met him at a birthday party for the mother of the person who organised the interview. 'I only saw him there, we greeted, I was in my corner with my people and he was in his corner with his people. I don't have his number, he does not have my number, we don't talk. Guns used in DJ Sumbody murder linked to at least 10 cases, say police
The firearms that killed Oupa John Sefoka, known as DJ Sumbody, including an AK-47 rifle, are linked to at least 10 high-profile cases that include murder and attempted murder. This was disclosed on Tuesday by national police spokesperson Brig Athlenda Mathe outside the Alexandra magistrate's court in Johannesburg, where f our people appeared in connection with the November 2022 murder of Sefoka and his two bodyguards, Sibusiso Mokoena and Sandile Myeza. On Tuesday, the prosecution said new information had come to their attention that needed to be investigated before they could proceed with a bail application by Molefe. The case was postponed to July 29, with the court ordering Molefe be kept at the Kgoši Mampuru correctional centre in Tshwane. Molefe had been out on bail after being arrested in connection with the murder of Armand Swart, a Vereeniging engineer killed in April last year after his company allegedly flagged price gouging in a Transnet tender. The alleged hitmen in the same matter, Tau, Mabusela and Kekana, were in custody. Mabusela and Kekana also face charges of attempted murder in the Vusi 'Cat' Matlala case of attempted murder on his ex-girlfriend Tebogo Thobejane. Mathe told the media that within three hours of the murder of Swart, Gauteng organised crime detectives tracked down three suspects. During the arrests they seized one AK-47 rifle and three pistols. 'Those firearms have been in custody since. They were taken for ballistics testing.'

Two men jailed for brutal vigilante attack on alleged drug dealer

Seventeen more suspects were rounded up, including a women, with an assortment of weapons and petrol bombs. ' After a two-year investigation and trial, the two primary suspects, Joseph 'Toki' Tshabalala and Ernest 'Bikkie' Semela, pleaded guilty to murder.
