Miley Cyrus and Beyonce perform Grammy-winning duet in Paris

Perth Now20-06-2025
Beyonce fans were shocked left when the superstar brought out a surprise performer at the Paris stop of her Cowboy Carter tour on Thursday night.
Miley Cyrus became the first official guest to take the stage during the tour, appearing at Paris' Stade de France to give a debut live performance of their duet II Most Wanted.
The song, which was the third single off the country album, took home the 2025 Grammy for best country duo/group performance — beating out stars such as Post Malone and Morgan Wallen.
II Most Wanted became Beyonce's 23rd and Cyrus' 13th top-10 song on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song also debuted at number two on the Hot Country Songs, scoring Beyonce's third and Cyrus' second top-10 on the chart.
The Wrecking Ball singer has spoken out in previous interviews about the song, which she wrote, perfectly encompassing the duo's relationship. The pair first met at a 2008 telethon raising funds for cancer research. Credit: Supplied
'I told her, 'We don't have to get country; we are country. We've been country',' she told W magazine last year.
'You know, between (Beyonce) being from Texas and me being from Tennessee, so much of us is going to be in this song.' Getting to write a song, not just sing, for Beyonce was a dream come true.'
Beyonce has passed the halfway mark of her Cowboy Carter world tour, having previously touched down in Los Angeles, Chicago, New Jersey and London.
After she wraps in Paris on June 22, she will head back to the United States for shows in her hometown Houston, as well as Washington, DC, Atlanta and Las Vegas.

Pop star Rita Ora finally addresses cheating scandal

Rita Ora has broken her silence over allegations that she was involved in a steamy affair with a famous rapper. All the way back in 2016, Ora became the subject of intense speculation that she had slept with Jay-Z. The rumours emerged after Beyonce's smash hit 2016 album Lemonade featured a track about a man cheating on a woman whom she referred to as 'Becky with the good hair'. Ora, 34, found herself at the centre of the rumours after fans accused her of being the woman that Beyonce was singing about on the feisty track. Speaking on Davina McCall's Begin Again podcast, Ora has revealed that the rumour left her devastated because of the respect she has for Beyonce and Jay Z, whose label she had previously been signed to when she rose to fame 'Behind closed doors, [Beyonce] is literally my fairy godmother, she was my protector - that's what's insane because there was nothing but love,' she said. 'And, you know, again, being signed to Jay-Z, her husband, she being my biggest inspiration, she came to my first show in New York at The Box and I sang Say My Name in front of Beyonce when I was 21.' 'It wasn't real,' Ora insisted. 'I wish I had good hair! None of that was real. That was the first time I experienced what it means to be in a messy situation, I guess.' Rumours of Jay-Z's infidelity first emerged when security camera footage caught Beyonce's sister Solange attacking the rapper in an elevator. Beyonce's critically acclaimed album Lemonade was released in 2016 then added fuel to the fire. Then, in an interview with The New York Times, Jay-Z finally came clean about the rumours, but stopped at revealing who the other woman was. 'So even with women, you gonna shut down emotionally, so you can't connect …. In my case, like, it's deep,' he shared. 'And then all the things happen from there: infidelity. We were using our art almost like a therapy session. And we started making music together. And then the music she was making at that time was further along. So her album came out as opposed to the joint album that we were working on. Um, we still have a lot of that music. And this is what it became. There was never a point where it was like, 'I'm making this album.' I was right there the entire time.'

Grammy-nominated singer's candid abortion revelation

Grammy-nominated singer and actor Lily Allen has disclosed that she 'can't remember' how many abortions she has had. In a candid interview on her podcast, Miss Me?, Allen described herself as a 'crazy bitch' when it came to matters of safe sex and contraception. 'I'd get pregnant all the time, all the time,' she told co-host Miquita Oliver. 'Abortions, I've had a few, but then again, I can't remember exactly how many … I think maybe like, I want to say four or five,' Allen said. The Smile singer, who is a mother of two young girls, Ethel and Marnie, to her ex-husband Sam Cooper, spoke about her sex life before the podcast pair proceeded to compare abortion stories. A 'complete disaster area' is how Allen described her contraception efforts, as Oliver declared that she has also had 'about five (abortions), too'. 'Lily, I'm so happy I can say that and you can say it and no one came to shoot us down, no judgment,' Oliver added. 'We've had about the same amount of abortions.' Describing one of the situations Allen, 40, said she thought one of the men offering to pay for an abortion was 'romantic'. 'I remember once getting pregnant and the man paying for my abortion, and me thinking it was so romantic,' she said. 'I don't think it's generous or romantic,' she went on to say after she never heard from the man again. In 2020 Allen married Stranger Things actor David Harbour, 50, but the pair reportedly split earlier this year according to Page Six. Soon after, the actor was spotted with 27-year-old model Ellie Fallon in the US, when the pair were together on a trip to India for New Year's Eve. Although remaining candid about her current relationship status Ms Allen told her listeners that she still struggles to settle down, adding 'fair (to be honest), I was a crazy bitch, still am.'

Drake mercilessly roasted for ‘fake' six-pack abs: ‘Arms and chest sold separately'

The internet mercilessly trolled Drake for his 'fake' abs after the rapper shared a shirtless mirror selfie showcasing his ultra-chiselled midsection. In the snapshot, the Nokia hitmaker revealed his glistening six-pack and tattoos while posing behind a stocked bar. He also shared a brief video clip of himself jogging shirtless down a park path. 'I'm wide awake for the nights that separate the type who get to it til they get it right from the type who just … type,' the Grammy-winning artist captioned the post on the weekend. But sceptical followers took to the comments to jokingly speculate about how the rapper achieved his dramatically toned waistline. 'Ordered abs from temu n forgot to add shoulders n [triceps] lol,' one person quipped, while another mocked, 'Boy stop playing! The only place you ran was to the surgeon.' 'Arms and chest sold separately,' a third wrote, while a fourth bluntly claimed, 'Those are fake.' 'The abs do not match the body,' yet another observed, while someone else wondered, 'Arm definition surgery is next month?' 'I just came here for the comments and they sure as hell delivered …,' another user noted of the public roasting. Adding fuel to the speculation, plastic surgery Instagram account @surgeonmade_curves reposted the photo, claiming in the caption that Drake, 38, 'did it again.' The account alleged that the Canadian rapper, who consistently shares content from his workouts on social media, is 'no stranger to the surgery table.' 'This man be too hype to show them abs/body and gives it away every single time,' they claimed. Drake was previously labelled 'BBL Drizzy' by fellow rapper Rick Ross following rumours the Degrassi star underwent a Brazilian butt lift and other cosmetic procedures. But this latest shirtless selfie isn't the first time Drake has made a provocative play for attention. Ahead of rival Kendrick Lamar's showstopping Super Bowl halftime show in February, the Hotline Bling rapper was spotted in an eyebrow-raising outfit while stepping out in Australia. The Toronto-born MC rocked a suggestive T-shirt with the words, 'Wait till u see my,' with an arrow pointing downward to his privates. He added bright yellow shorts and accessorised with a blue beanie hat and blue cowboy boots for the outing to Gibney restaurant Down Under.
