Legendary Rock Star, 79, Performs Punk Classic Following Terrifying Health Scare
A heart attack hasn't slowed Robert Fripp down. Two months after the King Crimson co-founder underwent emergency surgery to have a pair of stents inserted, Fripp, 79, showed his heart was just fine by delivering a fast-paced rendition of the Ramones' "I Wanna Be Sedated" alongside his wife, Toyah Willcox.
In the YouTube video uploaded on June 29, Fripp sported a Ramones-esque wig while Wilcox, 67, rocked out in a red wig and some dark makeup. The two did a quick version of the Ramones' signature hit, released in 1978 off their Road to Ruin album (the band made a music video for the song in 1988 to promote their compilation, Ramones Mania; it became a staple of late '80s MTV).
At the end of the performance, Fripp declared that he did not want to be sedated, but "present, engaged and entirely vigilant for the mayhem and absurdity of this kitchen." And Toyah added, "We now go boom boom."
The video was part of the couple's Toyah and Robert's Sunday Lunch, a long-running YouTube series. Willcox-an icon in her own right, who fronted the eponymous punk band Toyah before launching a successful solo and acting career-performs with her husband in a variety of outrageous outfits in a delightful, sometimes scandalous display of rock and roll euphoria.
The Ramones cover was the first Toyah and Robert's Sunday Lunch since they performed Rod Stewart's "Do You Think I'm Sexy" in April, right before Fripp's health scare. The prog rock legend revealed in mid-May that, while on a trip to Italy, he started to suffer chest pains.
Though Fripp initially thought it was acid reflux, his friends took him to a hospital where the doctors discovered that he had suffered a heart attack without knowing it. He underwent five hours of emergency surgery before going under the knife for a second operation. Ultimately, the medical professionals diagnosed him with a trifurcated artery, and he had two stents put in.
A day after going public with his health scare, Fripp expressed "gratitude to all the many good people who have sent good wishes, privately and publicly."

It's all about the little things. Todd Chrisley, 56, continues to open up about his recent release from federal prison after more than two years behind bars, and there are some things that he missed more than others. ABC News/YouTube Besides launching a new Lifetime reality show following the entire Chrisley clan, Todd also revealed that he and Julie hope to move to South Carolina to open a hotel and 'create a show around' it. 'You know, I think we will always have a presence in Nashville, but I have a pull for Julie and I to go back to South Carolina — to Charleston — to that area,' he said during the ABC News special. 'And we have plans for what we wanna do.' 'We have hopes of acquiring a hotel – a mansion – there, that we are gonna convert into a hotel, and we're gonna create a show around that,' Todd added.

Single woman asks for Tim Allen 'Home Improvement' grunts over dating app — and the responses are hilarious: ‘This is better than dating'
The extremes some men will go to. As wild as today's digital dating world is — sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures. One woman posted on her dating app profile asking potential suitors to give her their best impersonation of actor Tim Allen's grunts from the show 'Home Improvement.' Advertisement The popular sitcom ran for eight seasons in the early 1990s. Allen's character, Tim 'The Tool Man' Taylor, was known for expressing himself through a very specific grunt sound. Allen's character had a famous grunt — that is clearly still being thought about today. Touchstone Television/courtesy Everett Collection Kathenn (@kathenn25) first shared a video on TikTok, putting many desperate eligible bachelors on blast who responded to her Hinge prompt that read: 'I get along best with people who can do the Tim Allen 'awrhoo' impression. Let me see what you got,' earlier this year. Advertisement To give context to viewers, she wrote in overlay text on her video: 'My version of the 4B movement includes making men on Hinge do an impression of Tim Allen before they're allowed to speak to me.' She played each hilarious impression one by one — and that was only the beginning. The responses to this prompt are hilarious. TikTok / @kathenn25 Advertisement Several other videos of grunting impressions followed, and the most recent one, captioned: 'They're baaaaaaaack (they never left they literally do not stop coming in),' has gone viral — garnering almost 500,000 views. Over 500 people commented on the humorous clip. One curious person asked: 'Is this a kink thing?' Advertisement Another person couldn't believe how well some of the contenders sounded like Allen: 'i refuse to believe that the first one was not sampled directly from the tv show.' One honest commenter gave a bit of an explanation as to why Kathenn is getting a ton of action on this prompt: 'I have no idea why but the tim Allen grunt is the REAL Roman empire for men. I've been doing this shit since I was a kid.' Someone else thought the journey was better than the destination in this situation: 'This is better than dating.' 'Absolute cinema,' another one chimed in. The video even made its way to X (formerly Twitter) where one user shared the video, writing, 'I'm absolutely losing it.' The Tweet received over 1 million views. In a YouTube short clip while on stage at the famous Laugh Factory comedy club, Allen explained that the inspiration for his famous grunt came from a time he was performing a show to a predominantly male audience. While Allen was trying to do his bits on stage, the men were all grunting as they ate their meal, barely paying attention to the comedian. 'I couldn't get their attention. All I was doing on stage, I hear men [grunting]. So I started doing that [grunting]. And these men actually went, 'Huh?' and a career was built,' Allen jokingly explained.

Ryan Gosling's new movie looks like 'Interstellar' meets 'The Martian' — and the first trailer looks awesome
"Project Hail Mary" wasn't a movie I had on my radar. But after watching the trailer that MGM Studios just dropped, it might be one of my most anticipated movies of the next 12 months. Based on the comments on YouTube, I'm not alone either. This sci-fi adventure movie is based on a 2021 novel by Andy Weir, who is most well-known for writing "The Martian." While this newer book isn't one I'm familiar with, it's clear that it has a lot of devoted fans. That can sometimes be a recipe for disaster for a movie or show, but it seems those who loved the book are more than ready for the movie. After watching this trailer, I'm right there with them. "Project Hail Mary" stars Ryan Gosling as Ryland Grace, who has awoken from a coma, stranded in space. As he points out, he is "not an astronaut." What he appears to be, though, is humanity's last hope. In this alternate version of Earth, our sun is dying, as are most suns in our galaxy — except one, in the Tau Ceti system. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. So Eva Stratt (Sandra Hüller) has put together a team and a ship to find out why, in the hopes it can somehow save our solar system. For that team to succeed, she needs Grace, who, while seemingly just a mere school teacher, happens to have a doctorate in molecular biology. After watching this trailer just once (let alone the several times I have), it's clear that this movie is instantly comparable to "The Martian" and "Interstellar." I fully expect it to share more in common with the former, even though it shares the general "man travels through space in desperate hope to save humanity" plot of "Interstellar." Not only are the books "Project Hail Mary" and "The Martian" both written by Weir, but the screenplays are both written by Drew Goddard. So it's no surprise that this trailer feels like "The Martian." You don't need to make a huge leap to compare Gosling's Grace, a middle school science teacher with a doctorate, to Matt Damon's botanist astronaut Dr. Mark Watney. You also get the same blend of humor in the face of the cold, unforgiving nature of space travel. There's even a promising supporting cast — one of the great strengths of "The Martian" — that includes Lionel Boyce from "The Bear" and Ken Leung from "Industry." Of course, this movie has one thing that "The Martian" didn't have, which is an alien. Based on the trailer's YouTube comments, it's clear that Grace's relationship with this alien, "Rocky," is the highlight of the movie. I can't wait to find out for myself when it comes out on March 20, 2026. Malcolm has been with Tom's Guide since 2022, and has been covering the latest in streaming shows and movies since 2023. He's not one to shy away from a hot take, including that "John Wick" is one of the four greatest films ever made. Here's what he's been watching lately:
