Los Bukis Dedicate Their Hollywood Walk of Fame Star to ‘All Immigrants In This Beautiful Country'

Legendary band Los Bukis was honored with its very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday (July 23). Helmed by Marco Antonio Solís, the Mexican romantic grupero act received the 2,817th star now located on Hollywood Boulevard, immortalizing its contributions to Latin music over the past five decades. The ceremony kicked off around 11:30 a.m. local time with heartfelt speeches by actor and comedian Gabriel 'Iglesias' Fluffy and Oscar-nominated actor Demián Bichir, who said Los Bukis have become 'the soundtrack of our lives.' 'After so much English, I am going to speak in Spanish,' he said to the roaring crowd. 'It is a special, wonderful day, an unimaginable blessing from God, but look, thanks to our reunion, we can be here celebrating this blessing that God has given us. How many of us came here to gaze at the stars here, and now we have one.' While his speech was brief, it was impactful and timely, thanking the immigrants that live in the United States for their support throughout the years. 'We dedicate this star to all immigrants gathered here in this beautiful country, to all workers who strive every day, the silent force of service in this country, silent but making a lot of noise and doing a lot for this country,' Solís said. 'In these times of adversity, we are with you. Our hearts go out to all those who are suffering from the hardships we are going through. We fully trust that this will have a solution.' Last year, Los Bukis made history as the first-ever full Spanish-language residency on the Las Vegas Strip. It was preceded by a momentous Los Bukis stadium tour, which kicked off in 2021, reuniting the band after a 25-year hiatus. According to Billboard's 2021 year-end Boxscore charts, Los Bukis' Una Historia Cantada Tour landed a No. 6 spot on Billboard's 40 top tours of 2021 with a total gross of $49,667,153. The reunion trek also won Top Latin Tour at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. Overall, Los Bukis has 32 entries onto Hot Latin Songs (which began in October 1986), scoring five No. 1 hits, including 'Cómo Fui A Enamorarme De Ti,' 'Y Ahora Te Vas' and 'Mi Mayor Necesidad.' Ozzy Osbourne's Love for Burritos is Cemented in Chipotle History

Ozzy Osbourne called Chipotle his "favorite, favorite burrito joint" and was the first Celebrity Card recipient Legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne considered Chipotle to be a legendary restaurant. The Black Sabbath member, who died at 76 on Tuesday, July 22, expressed his love for the fast food spot in his family's reality show, The Osbournes. And Chipotle had a loving (and historic) response to the late star's admiration. In season 2 episode 6 of the MTV series, the musical icon was entranced while watching a Chipotle employee wrap his burrito. 'This is my favorite, my favorite, favorite, favorite, burrito joint this is,' he said, awestruck and with his hands to his face in disbelief. Ozzy even ordered an extra burrito, explaining one was for now and the other was for later. In the same 2003 episode, when asked how often he ate burritos daily, Ozzy said, 'Twice a day, I am Burrito Man.' Sharon said of her husband, 'Your father can't eat one burrito, he has to have 900 burritos.' Ozzy's love for the fast-casual Mexican restaurant prompted Chipotle to invent a special gift for him: the first Celebrity Card. The Celebrity Card has been gifted to athletes, musicians and other stars for more than 20 years, according to Chipotle's website. But Chipotle expanded its Celebrity Card opportunities to regular customers, allowing fans to apply to become a Celebrity Card holder last year. The card entitles the holder to one free meal every day and a complimentary catering order for up to 50 people with an approximate value of $20,000 A source at Chipotle confirmed to PEOPLE that Ozzy had a card, saying, 'In 2003, a musician turned television star raved about Chipotle on his family's reality television show, prompting Chipotle to issue its first-ever Celebrity Card.' He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time." In January 2020, Osbourne revealed that he'd been diagnosed in 2003 with Parkinson's disease, a nervous system disorder that affects movement. At the time, he said, "It's not a death sentence." Weeks before his death, Osbourne performed from a throne at the Black Sabbath farewell concert on July 5 in Birmingham. It would be his final concert and his first in 20 years with the band that made him a star. Read the original article on People

Best bites and sips from the Big Eat in Denver

The annual Big Eat — one of Denver's top foodie events — never fails to wow the palate with bold flavors. Dig in: This year's event featured more than 70 local food and beverage vendors, including acclaimed restaurants like Olivia, Lucina and Mizuna. Best bites: I went to check out the spread. Here were my favorites: Riot BBQ serves Texas barbecue with a Mexican twist, celebrity chef Manny Barella told us. And he delivered with juicy smoked pulled pork with esquites cornbread. Blackbelly brought the perfect one-two punch with its lardo and stonefruit toast topped with Colorado peaches. That paired nicely with a gazpacho shooter featuring tomato water, cucumber and chile. Samosa Shop surprised us with its hearty but delicate kesar mango salad made with farro, asparagus chutney vinaigrette and pomegranate.
