Lando Norris secured a vital and much-needed win last time out in Austria, thwarting a challenge from McLaren teammate and championship rival Oscar Piastri. The Australian driver's lead is now 15 points after the first 11 races.
Charles Leclerc picked up the final podium place for Ferrari, while Max Verstappen retired after being hit by Kimi Antonelli. Verstappen's future at Red Bull has been the topic of much discussion this week - the Dutchman has been linked with a move to Mercedes, potentially replacing arch rival George Russell in 2026.
Lewis Hamilton, meanwhile, finished fourth in Austria and will be eyeing his first podium for Ferrari as he takes to his home track for the first time in red. Hamilton memorably won last year's race, his ninth victory at Silverstone.

Where do Celtic stand a month out from season start?

'Take their time and usually get it right' Loy believes, looking at Celtic's early moves in the transfer market, "quite possibly they are slightly weaker" but points out they normally wait until close to the end of the transfer window."I think they paid over the odds getting Idah in the door recently, so it's not always worked in their favour, waiting that long," he said."But I don't think there will be any panic or rush from Celtic. If you look at Kyogo and Kuhn, that's another £25m to add to all the other transfers."Roy thinks bigger signings might hinge on Celtic winning their Champions League play-off."Celtic fans need to be a bit more patient than other clubs, but they are in a very good position," he pointed out that "Celtic don't panic" despite supporters urging them to dip into the money they have in the bank. "They take their time and usually get it right," he who finished the season as Rangers' assistant head coach, had suggested that only 30% of the squad he and Barry Ferguson were right for the club."Celtic have 80% of their squad right and 20% wrong," he thought. "They have got it right, so they don't have to rush, but the Celtic fans, having lost to Aberdeen, won't accept another hiccup."Are they good enough just now to compete with the squad they've got? "Absolutely, but they have to add a bit more firepower," Crichton concluded.

Chaos unfolded in the opening few laps of the British Grand Prix after three drivers were forced to retire and the safety car was deployed. Liam Lawson, Franco Colapinto and Gabriel Bortoleto were all forced out of the rain-sodden race at Silverstone and more downpours are expected. The black clouds rolled over the circuit for the start of the showpiece and Racing Bulls driver Lawson was the first to limp back to the garage on the opening lap, having collided with Esteban Ocon and been squeezed by Yuki Tsunoda. Colapinto, who started in the pit lane, stalled out on track and was summoned back to the pits, while Bortoleto's day was brought to an early end after his lime green Sauber veered off on his slick tyres and skidded onto the gravel.
