Johnny Damon's daughter flips off TNA wrestlers during Slammiversary on Long Island
The baseball legend was ringside for TNA Slammiversary, which was being held at UBS Arena out on Long Island, when part of the action came face-to-face with Damon.
Nemeth was competing in a tag team match with his brother, Nic, when Damon shoved him after the two exchanged words, clearly as part of a bit for the show.

Nemeth tried to go back at Damon before his brother jumped in to grab him from getting to the ex-Red Sox great.
Damon continued to yell at the wrestlers as they got back in the ring, and next to him, his daughter could be seen yelling at them and quickly flipping the bird at Nemeth before the camera cut back to the action inside the ring.

It wasn't clear if the younger Damon was aware that it was all part of the showmanship of professional wrestling, but it made for a hilarious moment all the same.
Damon had a pretty packed weekend, not only showing up for the show on Sunday, but he also took part in the TNA SLAMMing Softball Classic, which was played on Saturday out on Long Island.

The involvement of Damon shouldn't be too much of a surprise after A-GAME Beverages, which was founded by Damon, became the official hydration partner of TNA wrestling in an agreement announced last week.
'TNA executives are finalizing Damon's additional involvement at Slammiversary as he is a longtime pro wrestling fan who has appeared at and participated in past pro wrestling shows,' TNA said in a press release last week announcing the deal.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — As recently as two years ago, Cristopher Sanchez was a pitcher in transition, earning some major league time yet frequently shuttling between the Phillies and their Triple-A affiliate in the Lehigh Valley. He was also trying to establish himself, at both levels, as a starting pitcher, one who has now not only has shown an affinity for pitching for length, but pitching as effectively as anyone in baseball. The 28-yeaer-old Sanchez showed his stuff again Tuesday night, pitching a complete game, 4-1 victory over the Boston Red Sox. In the course of a 106-pitch gem, he allowed a fourth-inning home run to Rob Refsnyder and also struck out 12 batters and induced 13 ground ball outs. While only becoming a regular starter late in the 2023 season, Sanchez wiped away his early career inconsistency and became an All-Star last season, and probably should have been one this season. He is 9-2 with a 2.40 ERA, has gone six innings or more over his last nine consecutive outings. 'That just tells me that the work we've been doing since the offseason is working,' Sanchez said of his consistency. 'And that's something I take a lot of pride in.' With a vulnerable bullpen and usual second-starter Aaron Nola suffering a bad season start before going down with an injury, Sanchez's growth is something the Phillies desperately needed. He has responded with a cool demeanor and an arsenal that includes a high-90s fastball often tempered with a killer change-up. 'He has electric stuff,' Bryce Harper said of Sanchez after the Phillies improved to 58-43. 'He's done a great job for us. Just throws strikes. He's kind of evolved into an ace for us.' Sanchez also has an understanding with manager Rob Thomson ... he isn't usually a pitcher who asks to come out of a game. Hence, when Sanchez kicked into an unusual celebration after striking out Refsnyder for the second time in the game to end the eighth inning, it turned out this show still had an inning to go. 'No, I always wait for the manager to tell me I'm done,' Sanchez said. 'I wait for him to come to me.' Thomson went to his second ace starter after the eighth, 'just to see if he was OK. 'He said, 'No, I'm not tired, I'd tell you if I was tired,'' Thomson said. 'So we sent him back out.' It took only 10 pitches in the ninth for Sanchez to finish out his third career complete game. With it will come yet more recognition that this guy is on the list of potential National League Cy Young Award candidates. That's a long way from the hopeful pitcher splitting time between the minors and majors just a few seasons ago. 'That was very hard, but I never gave up,' Sanchez said. PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Philadelphia's Cristopher Sanchez allowed four hits in a complete-game victory, Max Kepler and Kyle Schwarber homered and the Phillies beat the Boston Red Sox 4-1 on Tuesday night. Sanchez (9-2) allowed two hits in the fourth inning and largely cruised through the other eight innings for his third career complete game. The 28-year-old left-hander retired the first nine Red Sox he faced before Rob Refsnyder led off the fourth inning with a home run. Sanchez allowed three other singles and struck out 12, throwing 106 total pitches. The Phillies provided Sanchez with an early four-run lead. Bryce Harper provided the highlight when he surprised Red Sox starter Richard Fitts, whose high fastball wasn't fast enough to catch Harper at home on a steal attempt. Red Sox catcher Carlos Narvaez was seemingly stunned to see Harper heading home and came out of his crouch toward the plate. He caught the ball and applied a late tag. Harper's sudden steal was technically negated by Narvaez's tag, though it did count for a run scored. It was the second straight night that Narvaez was involved in an odd play that figured in the outcome. Kyle Manzardo and Bryan Rocchio each drove in a pair of runs as the Guardians have won 10 of 12 after a 10-game losing streak to get back to .500 at 50-50. Ramón Laureano went deep in the sixth inning for the Orioles, who have dropped four of five since the break. Ramirez drove a 94.4 mile fastball near the top of the strike zone into the right-field seats off Baltimore's Brandon Young (0-5) in the first inning. Juan Soto threw out a runner at home plate from right field in the first, denying Trout his 999th career RBI. After overcoming a four-run deficit in Monday night's series opener, New York won its third in a row. Nolan Schanuel had a career-high four hits for the Angels, including an RBI double.
