Anti-ageing Medik8 SPF hailed for not leaving ‘sticky or residue' is on sale
Step up your skincare routine with a multi-tasking cream from the cult-favourite beauty brand Medik8, and save some cash at the same time. This Medik8 Advanced Day Ultimate Protect SPF50+ works to tackle visible signs of ageing while also protecting against future damage that can contribute to complexion woes.
Normally retailing for £59, this anti-ageing SPF cream is currently on sale at Lookfantastic with a whopping 20% off, saving shoppers £12.
The daily hydrating day cream with SPF50+ PA++++ protects the skin from UV rays and pollution and banishes signs of premature ageing. Defending against the sun's rays, the Medik8 Advanced Day Ultimate Protect keeps your skin safe from UVA/UVB rays, blue light, infrared light, and pollution.
The formula utilises advanced UV filters to deliver high-performance protection against sunlight. Encapsulated photolyase, an enzyme derived from plankton extract, helps to minimise the visible signs of ageing caused by UV rays, such as fine lines, crow's feet, wrinkles, and dark spots.
The moisturiser uses the brand's unique 360° environmental shield. Its formula contains blueberry seed oil and carnosine, which work to prevent skin damage from oxidative stressors. The cream also contains hyaluronic acid and squalane, which hydrate the skin, leaving it feeling protected and nourished all day long.
During Medik8's tests, 94% of users agreed that the Advanced Day Ultimate Protect leaves the skin feeling moisturised all day, perfect for this time of year when the warmer, drier weather leaves skin parched and in need of nourishment.
Over at Lookfantastic, plenty of customers have shared their love for this skincare gem. One 5-star reviewer writes: "Very happy to use this daycream, not only because of its spf but also for his hydrating. Even though it is a cream rather than a lotion , my foundation still goes on smoothly and not greasy. It's a winner."
Further praise comes from this shopper who says: "Like all medik8 products, it's perfect! Easy to apply, rich moisturiser and it's giving full protection from harmful rays. It's still lovely as a base for foundation and doesn't feel greasy at all on my combination skin. It's my second tube and I'm a big fan."
A third buyer beams: " Love this moisturiser with sunscreen. It works and my skin feels great and protected all day. Highly recommend for someone who is short of tine in the morning."
And even more accolades come from this customer who raves: "I do have hyper sensitive skin and getting rushing from everything, this cream is the only one that works for me- no break outs! Will buy again, it gives skin light summer glow and protection is perfect. Definitely recommend!"
A fifth gushes: "I have used various other SPF 50 sunscreens previously and they have always had down sides such as being too greasy on the skin or not sitting well under make-up. Not with this one! This is absorbed very quickly and feels extremely hydrating yet non-greasy! No pilling under make-up either! Well done Medik8!"
And this shopper shares: " My go to sunscreen! Keeping me young forever! I love the fact that it has PA++++ which protects my skin from the screen damage!"
You can pick up this SPF cream from Lookfantastic or Amazon at the reduced price of £47.20. Or, if you don't mind paying the full price, Sephora, Cult Beauty, and Medik8 are selling it for £59.

Cambridge surgeon warn parents of skin cancer risks to children
Many adult patients who have been treated for skin cancer spent a lot of time in the sun as children, said a surgeon. Animesh Patel, a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon with the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, warned parents to be vigilant with their children's said every year the plastic surgery department carried out "well over 1,000 operations" to remove sun-related skin cancers and he did not see the number explained the skin of children and babies was much more sensitive than adults, and damage caused by repeated exposure could lead to skin cancer in later life. Mr Patel said although fair-skinned people burned easily and were at a greatest risk, people of all ethnicities needed to take care. "I have removed skin cancers from patients of all ages, children to pensioners, so please take care whatever your age," Mr Patel said. "Even for those families not travelling abroad, we may yet experience more of the hot spells that we did earlier in the early summer, where the sun has been very intense, so the same message applies."Take care if you're out on your bicycle or playing in the garden," he added. Mr Patel said that getting a tan was not "necessarily safe or healthy", as a tan was the body's way of trying to protect the skin from damage. He continued that excessive UV radiation from the sun could also damage the DNA in skin cells, resulting in cancerous changes developing in the children and adults do need some exposure to sunlight, it was important for people to be vigilant, he said. "Do not rely on sun cream alone to protect yourself and the family. "Wear suitable clothing, a sun hat with a broad brim to protect the face and ears and spend time in the shade when the sun is at its hottest in the middle of the day. "Don't forget the sunglasses, regularly reapply the sun cream, especially if swimming, and remember to drink plenty of water to stay well-hydrated," he added. Sale sees Garnier Ultimate Blends trio that 'makes hair thick in 2 weeks' drop to £10
'Thanks to this combination, it's now thicker and fuller after using for two weeks' If your hair is feeling a little limp, frazzled or just generally lacklustre after a summer of sun, heat and heat styling, you're not alone– but this under £10 bundle from Garnier might just be the fix your damaged ends are crying out for. Boots has just slashed the price of the Garnier Ultimate Blends Nourish & Smooth Banana Haircare Bundle to £10 (down from £22) – and shoppers are raving about it. You get the full-size 350ml shampoo, conditioner and 400ml 3-in-1 hair mask for less than the price of a takeaway, and fans say it's helped them achieve noticeably thicker, healthier hair in as little as two weeks. Designed for dry, frizzy or damaged hair, the trio uses plant-based ingredients and a creamy banana scent that smells good enough to eat. It's silicone-free too, so ideal if you're looking to repair your hair without weighing it down or leaving it feeling product laden. With a fair few glowing reviews on the Boots site alone, the set has earned an impressive 4.5-star average, and the word 'thicker' pops up in a lot of them. One happy customer wrote: "I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this product. Used it for 10 days straight every day on holidays, came back and everyone thought I had gotten extensions!!" Another said: "My hair was very dry and overprocessed. Thanks to this combination, it's now thicker and fuller after two weeks of use." "Bought this bundle on the £10 Tuesday offer - amazing value!! Actually bought it for my daughter, who is an avid fan & consistent user of this range. Product smells lovely & leaves hair feeling, looking & smelling amazing!" penned a third. And they're not wrong – the scent is often described as 'like a smoothie for your hair', thanks to the banana extract. But it's not just about the smell alone (though it's a good enough reason to hand over your tenner). The real magic comes from the formula, which blends coconut oil and shea butter for deep nourishment, plus plant keratin to help strengthen strands from root to tip. It's worth noting that the mask can be used three different ways: as a rinse-out conditioner, a leave-in treatment, or a deep mask if you've got time for a bit of extra self-care. One reviewer even said it brought their over-bleached ends 'back from the dead' after one overnight treatment. While the overwhelming feedback is very positive for the banana bundle, one shopper on Lookfantastic, where the mask is priced at £4.50 in the summer sale, offers a different perspective: "I have 3b/3c hair and this is a nice mask. It has a good slip but it's not hydrating enough for my hair. I wouldn't use it as a leave in for this reason." At full price, the trio is already a decent value, but right now it's part of a limited-time Boots bundle deal that knocks the price down to £10 for all three full-size products (offering a £12 saving). Basically, you're buying the mask (£9 on its own) and getting the shampoo and conditioner for £1. If you're not quite convinced, or like the idea of the results but not the banana smell, Olaplex is also running a good offer on some of its repairing hair favourites. The Strong Start Hair Kit was £28 but is now £21, and gives you a travel-sized selection of five wash and styling products.
