The actor's grieving family revealed he had died following a "private battle" with cancer.
It was not publicly known that the actor, best known for his starring roles on Nip/Tuck, Fantastic Four, Charmed and FBI: Most Wanted, was sick prior to his death.
Julian leaves behind his only daughter, Madison, 25, who he shares with ex wife Brooke Burns.
The pair split just a year after she was born.
Now the daddy-daughter's last social media engagement has come to light after Madison bagged a role as a yoga teacher in Miami.
In a proud grid post in March, she wrote: "Taught my first yoga class today. I guess dreams do come true."
The Home and Away alum then replied: "You're awesome!"
She then wrote: "No YOU'RE awesome!"
The pair often interacted online, with previous touching chat centred on the death of her dog two years ago.
SAD LOSS
Julian was best known for his starring roles on Nip/Tuck, Fantastic Four, Charmed and FBI: Most Wanted.
On Friday, Julian's family announced that he passed away on Wednesday, July 2nd, in Clearwater, Florida, after a private cancer battle.
His wife, Kelly McMahon, said in a statement: 'With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer.
'Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans.
'His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible. We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy.'
Kelly concluded in the heartfelt message she first shared with Deadline: 'And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories.'
Julian and his third wife, Kelly, tied the knot in 2014 and shared no kids together - although he has a daughter from his second marriage.
He was married to Baywatch star Brooke from 1999 until 2001 and welcomed daughter Madison McMahon in 2000.
His first marriage was to singer and actress Dannii Minogue, sister of Kylie Minogue, whom he wed in 1994 after meeting on the set of their film, Home and Away, in 1991.
Their marriage lasted just a year and a half as he resided in LA to pursue his acting career while she was living in England for music.
HIS FINAL POST
Julian's last social media post celebrated what would end up being his final film.
The actor boasted about his psychological thriller, The Surfer, which co-starred Nicolas Cage and was released earlier this year.
He posted a series of promos for the movie after taking a year-long break from Instagram.

LeBron James gives strong two-word verdict on son Bronny's NBA Summer League performance for the Lakers

LeBron James sent out a two-word message after his son - and teammate - Bronny put in a dominant display in his 2025 Summer League debut. Bronny took to the floor on Sunday night and scored 10 points in 11 minutes against the Miami Heat - including a stunning one-handed dunk in the first quarter. A clip of the incident went viral on social media as fans watched the second-year guard steal the ball off the Heat before transitioning into a fast break. The Lakers star drove down the court before launching himself into the air - just past the free throw line - and performing the impressive dunk. It was a moment that left some fans in awe and excited about the season ahead for Bronny - while dad LeBron clearly shared that sentiment. The NBA legend posted an Instagram story with a screenshot of the dunk along with the caption: 'Bronny showtime'. The 20-year-old heads into the new season after making 27 outings in his rookie season for the Lakers - where he averaged 2.3 points in 6.7 minutes per game. In his G League performances, however, Bronny averaged 21.9 points, 5.5 assists and 5.1 rebounds from his 11 games. The youngster, recently, offered a coy response when asked about the future of his father - who will become an unrestricted free agent in 2026. Last week, LeBron officially opted into his $52.6million player option for the upcoming season but, by doing so, it raised questions about his future beyond 2025-26. When asked about LeBron's future, Bronny said: 'I said, 'I have no idea what you're talking about. 'I don´t really pay attention to that stuff. There´s a lot of stuff going around that I don´t pay attention to.' 'We don´t really talk about that much, but I think when stuff like that does come up, he just tells me to not worry about it, not even pay attention to it. 'Just lock in to what you have going on right now, and that's what's going to get me better and keep me focused. I think it's good that he tells me not to pay attention to that stuff.'

Real reason global superstar Lauryn Hill performed to an almost EMPTY stadium at 3.30AM after video goes viral

Lauryn Hill was a surprise late addition to the Essence Fest lineup in New Orleans, and her performance was just as late as the announcement. The annual festival kicked off this Friday at the Superdome in New Orleans, with the festival announcing on Wednesday that the hip-hop icon, 50, would be performing on Friday at roughly midnight. That didn't happen, though, due to a number of factors, with Hill ultimately taking to the stage at 2:31 AM local time, wrapping her up set at 3:37 AM, via It was one of the latest performances in the 31-year history of Essence Fest, with the Superdome - which has a capacity of 83,000 - nearly empty when she took the stage. Many fans took to social media to bash Hill - who is notorious for showing up hours late to her performances However, many others went online to defend Hill, since it seems this time her ultra-late performance was not her fault. View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Times-Picayune | (@nolanews) The schedule for Friday's Evening Concert Series was supposed to start with Psyrin at 7:10 PM, followed by Lucky Dave at 7:30 and Coco Jones at 8:00. Glorilla was slated for 8:30, followed by The Isley Brothers at 9:15, Babyface at 10:10, Maxwell at 11:15 and Lauryn Hill closing out the night at 12:35 AM. That schedule never stuck, with the whole night starting late, with reports stating that Glorilla finished her set at 10 PM, 45 minutes after the next act, The Isley Brothers, were supposed to start theirs. Maxwell's set was supposed to start at 11:15 PM but didn't start until 12:55 AM, with reports adding that Maxwell's stage was cleared around 2:04 AM, though Hill didn't take the stage until 2:31 AM, wrapping up at 3:37 AM. Nola News shared video from the largely-empty Superdome with Hill on stage, while others like TikTok user MorganD.2 3 shared a video from her seat in the stadium as well. Hill has developed a reputation for going on stage much later than she was originally scheduled to, which many fans mentioned on social media. De Lewis (@shotbyde) said, 'Lauryn Hill is a scam artist and I don't know why yall keep supporting her.' Brit Williams (@DrBritWilliams) quote-retweeted another tweet that said her set ended at 3:37 AM, adding, 'Stop. Booking. Her.' Maxwell's set was supposed to start at 11:15 PM but didn't start until 12:55 AM, with reports adding that Maxwell's stage was cleared around 2:04 AM, though Hill didn't take the stage until 2:31 AM, wrapping up at 3:37 AM. However, others defended Hill, including Eric Lamont (@EricUnedited), who quote-retweeted Brit's tweet, clarifying what happened. 'Or, let's post what actually happened. It's very easy to get Lauryn Hill trending with false narratives. Let's provide the facts. The entire festival was pushed back. This was literally not her fault. Me on the other hand, I would have gone home. Contract or not. Bye,' Lamont tweeted. Another fan dubbed @tallyohhh added, 'I feel so bad for everybody making fun of Lauryn Hill performing late at Essence Festival, because it wasn't even her fault. I read that the performance schedule was off by like an hour or two and pushed everything back. I'm impressed that she still performed that late! I've seen her live before, I'm sure it was a dope show.' Others like Tony Cardasco (@TonyDasco) mentioned Hill was, 'a couple of hours late in LA and late at Brooklyn Bowl.' Still, some like Joe Arrigo (@JoeArrigo_) defended Hill, stating, 'this is a bit misleading because the essence festival was actually running behind schedule, which played a role in her coming on late, this one wasn't on her all the way. I have some friends that are/were there, so it's not 100% on Lauryn Hill (this time).' Some poked fun at the situation like @YoungQDogg, who joked, 'At this point Lauryn Hill just shows up whenever she wants doesn't she.' Jerry Boese (@JerryBoese) added, 'Lauryn Hill late ? That's never happened lol.' Popular Loner (@AlyxzandreaZnay) added, 'Wtf do Lauryn Hill be doing to be soo dam late to her shows? Im genuinely curious.' She just a culture icon but not finishing her show to 4am bcuz she came 2 hrs late is outta control. #LaurynHill #ESSENCEFest25.' Others like @siriusbrown007 shared a news article about her late performance, adding, 'Not her fault…..' Love Island USA star Cierra Ortega makes a shock exit from the villa following offscreen racism scandal

Love Island USA 's Cierra Ortega was removed from season seven for past derogatory social media posts. Just weeks after another cast member sparked backlash for past racial slurs and was booted off of the show, she was fired when fans uncovered another offscreen racism scandal. On Sunday's episode, which aired on Peacock, narrator Iain Stirling confirmed that Ortega 'left the villa due to a personal situation' and had left Nic Vansteenberghe 'officially single.' A following scene showed him talking to Ace Green and saying he wasn't sure what he would do next — which comes just one week before the season is set to conclude. While she was filming in Fiji, sequestered from social media, a racist post from her Instagram was uncovered by Love Island fans. This comes just weeks after Yulissa Escobar departed from season seven after being introduced as an OG islander. By the beginning of the second episode, she was gone with Iain Stirling simply saying in the introduction that she had 'left the villa.' The 27-year-old real estate professional from Miami had been booted in just the third day after videos surfaced of her using the N-word in a podcast. After the swift removal of Escobar, many fans had been anticipating the same will happen with Ortega, a 25-year-old content creator from Phoenix, who arrived on Day 2. Past Instagram posts have surfaced of her using a racial slur towards Chinese people in two separate instances many years apart. One post from January 2015 showed a snap of her at the top of a mountain, using a version of the slur to describe how she smiles. There was also an Instagram story post from February 2023, showing her getting Botox treatments, again using the slur to describe her smile, and many fans are furious, calling for her immediate removal. One post from January 2015 showed a snap of her at the top of a mountain, using a version of the slur to describe how she smiles. While it remains to be seen if the show's producers will remove her like they removed Escobar, Ortega has already taken a bit hit in regards to her Instagram followers. She has lost over 200K followers in the past 48 hours after the posts first re-surfaced. Ortega was poised to potentially cross the 1 million follower mark at some point during Love Island Season 7, but her follower tally now stands at 709K. While she's currently coupled up with Nic Vansteenberghe as filming continues in Fiji, many are calling for her removal on social media. A new petition calling for her removal was started days ago, when the Instagram posts first surfaced, which currently has 6,670 verified signatures. One fan - @deannacortes - shared the petition link on X, adding, 'Send Cierra Ortega home,' with the hashtags #racist #LoveIslandUSA #stopasianhate. Another X user - @ShaneAnime1990 - insisted, 'Cierra Ortega used a racist word now we have to cancel her if she did it once she'll do it again.' Cass Rabbit (@cassrabbit) tagged both @LoveIslandUSA and @Peacock in her tweet, which read, 'Get Cierra Ortega off your show. This is now the third time I'm seeing she used the slur for asians. Y'all rightfully kicked off Yulissa for saying the n word, what about Cierra? Or does racism against asians not matter to you guys?' Another X user - @h0td1lfj0hnny - asked, 'Why has cierra not been dropped from the villa,,,, she's f***ing racist using slurs.
