St. James' had too much for a disappointing Fethard side in this Group B clash in The Courtyard Ferns Intermediate hurling championship in Grantstown on Sunday.
A clash between neighbours usually throws up an extra bit of bite, but while there were a few plays close to the edge, the Ramsgrange men always had their opponents at arm's length.

Gusserane strolled to victory against neighbours Fethard in the first round of the Dominic Smith Electrical Senior football championship in O'Kennedy Park, New Ross on Saturday. Last year's county finalists had it too easy at times in this Group B game. They set the tone from the opening whistle and led by 1-13 to 1-1 at half-time.
