THE parents of a British-Israeli soldier who sacrificed his life in the October 7 atrocity found a heartbreaking final message in his unreleased music.
Brave Aner Shapira, 22, heroically threw back seven live grenades hurled into a bomb shelter by callous Hamas fighters in a bid to save his friends.

Heart-stopping footage showed the off-duty soldier, dressed in a t-shirt and sandals, lobbing grenades out of the shelter he and 26 terrified others were hiding in.
Tragically, the eighth device exploded and killed the fearless off-duty soldier.
His resilient parents, dad Moshe and mum Shira, said they were not surprised by his courageous act.
They first heard about their son's heroics from two people who survived the barbaric October 7 attack thanks to Aner.
Proud dad Moshe said: "We got a phone call from a girl, a survivor, and said said 'I want to tell you, due to Aner, I'm alive. Your son is a hero'.
"When the videos of the grenades came out and went viral, people told us it's amazing what he did.
"But nobody [his friends, family, colleagues] was surprised.
"Since he was a small child, it was obvious that was his spirit."
Shira added: "He always took a stand. When he saw something was not right, he would come and feel like it was his own business to make it better.
"He acted like that, and he also wrote about it."

Keen pianist Aner, who grew up in the quiet south Jerusalem neighbourhood of Talpiot, fell in love with music at an early age.
Aner, the eldest of seven children, later explored rap and hip-hop, often singing about social justice and unity.
After his death, his parents found a catalogue of music that was published as an album - Looking for Love - to mark what would have been his 24th birthday.
In one song, they found a poignant final message from the IDF Staff Sergeant.
Moshe said: "Whenever people ask us about Aner, they want us to tell them about the last half an hour of his life, the battle, the shelter, what happened with the grenades.
"But we insist on looking at his whole life."
Shira added: "He found the best way for him to combine his love for music and his love of his principals, his values, his ideas...was composing, singing and recording his music.
"We have more than 60 songs that he left expressing his values and his way of life, and he wanted to publish his album, but he didn't have the chance.

Gaza offensive puts hostages 'in danger'
by Katie Davis, Chief Foreign Reporter (Digital), in Paris
ISRAEL'S new offensive in Gaza hinders bringing the remaining hostages home and puts them in "immediate danger", a former diplomat has warned.
Ex-Israeli ambassador Daniel Shek questioned the point of the latest ground operation against Hamas as he insisted the military is now "going around in circles".
Earlier this year, there was a glimmer of hope as both the terror group and Israel laid down their arms and 33 hostages - 25 alive - were released.
But Shek said the three-phase plan failed to reach its second phase as Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition partners vowed they would leave if it did - collapsing the government.
Now Israel risks sanctions from the UK and France after launching a renewed ground offensive just after Donald Trump left the region without fixing a ceasefire deal.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun in Paris, Shek warned the fresh operation - dubbed Gideon's Chariots - has a "two-fold danger" for those still captive.
His call for the Israeli government to prioritise returning the hostages through diplomatic means before crushing Hamas was echoed by Shoshan Haran, who was kidnapped by terrorists.

"So we released it for his birthday.
"In one of his songs, he's saying 'if something happens to me, if I'm dead, publish my album'."
Talented Aner was enjoying the Nova music festival in southern Israel with a close group of friends when it was stormed by gun-toting Hamas terrorists.
As rocket fire rang out, Aner - the grandson of the late Israeli lawmaker Haim Moshe Shapira - and his pals rushed to a roadside bomb shelter next to kibbutz Re'im.
Aner bravely positioned himself in the doorway to protect the other 26 hiding inside as brutal fighters bombarded the shelter with grenades.
He throw them out one by one before the eighth killed him.
Of those inside, 16 were murdered and four others were kidnapped by merciless Hamas militants.
The four hostages taken were Aner's best friend Hersh Goldberg-Polin who lost his arm in the attack before being murdered in Gaza.
Eliya Cohen and Or Levy have been released, while another victim, Eynav, was killed.

Portuguese police revealed today that the 18-year-old Brit had been robbed and hospitalised. The group is said to have stolen the victim's phone, worth around €600 (£525) Cops said five of the attackers - all aged 17 - have been arrested. Another four were identified by police. The violent crime occurred at the party resort of Albufeira. Two of the teenage suspects were filmed kicking their victim in the footage posted online. CCTV footage in the area where the assault took place is understood to have been key to the identification of those responsible. The unnamed victim is now back in the UK. Confirming the arrests, a spokesman for the GNR police force said: "The Faro Territorial Command arrested five 17-year-old men for robbery in the municipality of Albufeira. Shocking moment Brit influencer HSTikkyTokky batters reveller as massive brawl erupts in Magaluf "Following an investigation into a robbery involving violent assaults on an 18-year-old man, which took place on 17 July in the town of Albufeira. "The military police carried out police investigations that enabled them to identify and locate the suspects. 'During the police investigation, the GNR intercepted the five suspects and arrested them, also seizing five mobile phones. 'The detainees were due to appear on July 24 at the Portimao Judicial Court.' The teenagers, who live in Quarteira near Albufeira, are suspected of a number of other violent assaults on other young tourists. An active police investigation is ongoing. Local reports said they filmed the attacks and posted the footage on social media to brag about what they had done. Albufeira has come under the spotlight in recent weeks following the deaths of two British tourists in quick succession. On June 4, tragic Scots tourist Greg Monks was found dead near Albufeira after going missing a week earlier in the resort. The 38-year-old plant mechanic from Glasgow is believed to have lost his life after jumping over a wall and falling down a steep hillside during a night out with his stag do friends. Around four hours before Greg's body was found by police, another young Brit tourist was found dead behind a steep drop at the back of a residential block by Albufeira's Old Town. The 21-year-old is said to have gone out drinking with pals and is thought to have become disoriented as he tried to get back to his hotel. News of his death only emerged three days after Greg was found dead.

CNN interrupted for major breaking news which could have 'huge impact' on Donald Trump

A breaking news story halted proceedings on CNN and the future outcome could have ramifications for president Donald Trump. The news organisation broke to breaking news to inform that Ghislaine Maxwell has been granted a form of limited immunity to talk during her meetings with Department of Justice officials. CNN news reporter Erin Burnett read out live on air: "We are just learning this hour that Jeffrey Epstein's ex-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell was granted limited immunity in order to talk with Trump's personal attorney turned deputy attorney general, Todd Blanch." The British socialite and former ex-girlfriend of convicted sex offender Epstein met with Deputy U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche on multiple occasions this week. It's said she was the one who initiated the meetings. The limited immunity means that anything Maxwell said that was truthful couldn't be used against her in the future. According to her attorney, David Oscar Markus, during the past days worth of talks, Maxwell was asked questions by DOJ on "maybe about 100 different people". He told CNN and other reporters, she answered the questions put to her and "didn't hold anything back". It's said Maxwell spoke for nine hours over the two days. Trump is mentioned within the Epstein files, with has name appearing multiple times on flight logs for Epstein's private plane in the 1990s. However, it is unknown whether Maxwell's questions involved the president. Trump had said earlier he hasn't thought about giving Maxwell a pardon or commutation for her cooperation. However he hadn't ruled it out. He explained how he is "allowed to do it" but hasn't thought about it. After Maxwell's arrest in connection to Epstein's crimes in 2020, Trump had said: "I do wish her well. I'm not looking for anything bad for her." Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in jail for trafficking underage girls. She was convicted of five charges in December 2021 for recruiting and grooming four girls to have sexual encounters with Epstein, then her boyfriend, between 1994 and 2004 following a month-long trial. Before imposing a 20-year sentence, Judge Nathan summarised the cases of several of the victims. She said Maxwell and Epstein used a "playbook" over the years, and the result was "incalculable" damage to their victims. "The sentence I impose must reflect the gravity of Ms Maxwell's conduct," she said. 'A substantial sentence will send an unmistakable message that those who engage in the sexual abuse and trafficking of underage victims will be held accountable by the law. 'The rule of law demands, and this court agrees, that whether you are rich or powerful or entirely unknown, nobody is above the law." Judge Nathan added: 'It is important to emphasise that although Epstein was central to this criminal scheme, Ms Maxwell is not being punished in place of Epstein or as a proxy for Epstein." She went on to call the crimes "heinous and predatory'. Maxwell continues to appeal her conviction. The initial appeal against her convictions was rejected by a US court in September last year. She currently isn't eligible for release from prison until July 2037.

Passengers pin down man who tries to open plane door mid-flight

Footage shows flight attendants and passengers on the London Gatwick flight from the Dominican Republic restraining the man on June 29. Oore Fabunmi, 25, said she was sat behind the man when he suddenly stood up and ran toward the front of the aircraft. Screams erupted from throughout the cabin as he tried to pry open the doors. Passengers stepped in to pin the man down before TUI airline staff stepped in to detain him. He remained sat with staff for the rest of the flight and was escorted off the plane by police officers upon landing in London. Oore, a hearings officer from south London, said: 'It was pretty scary at first. 'I remember just seeing him leave the row in front of me and run forward. 'Next thing I heard was just screams coming from the front. 'My first thought was that we were being hijacked and we might die – like in the movies.' Oore said she interacted with the man at the beginning of the flight as she helped him find the correct seat. Oore said: 'I had chatted to him earlier in the journey. I got onto the plane with some friends I'd made on the holiday and he was actually sitting in one of their seats. 'They asked him to move and he seemed confused about his ticket so I helped him find his seat. 'He seemed alright after that until he started getting agitated halfway through the flight.' But four hours into the eight hour flight, Oore said the man began to grow restless. She said: 'He stood up on his seat, which I obviously thought was strange and then he just ran to the doors.' Passengers intervened and tried to pin the man down before airline staff stepped in to detain him. Oore said: 'All of it was quite strange. I think he clearly needed some help. More Trending 'He did not seem mentally well. I remember him muttering something about his wife being on a cruise, both at his seat and later by the door. 'But outside of that, I have no idea why he did what he did.' The man remained sat for the rest of the journey and passengers were asked to remain seated after landing while police came aboard to escort him off. The TUI Group have been contacted for comment.
