Immediately, fans raised concerns with the IBF heavyweight champion cutting it fine ahead of the biggest fight of his life.
The late arrival remained a mystery in the aftermath of Usyk's stunning fifth-round knockout.
But according to The Times, a party at the Dubois household and administrative travel error was to blame for the delay.
His imposing dad and mentor Stan is said to have hosted a party at their Essex mansion on the afternoon of the fight.
But Dubois - an introverted character - apparently did not know even all of the guests well and at one point left at for a drive.
From the party, their departure was supposedly delayed after Stan requested extra people carriers to bring his entourage to Wembley.
He then drove Dubois to the venue himself, which caused further issues as only designated vehicles had been accredited entry.
The boxer and his dad then astonishingly had to then WALK to the stadium entrance on foot from the car park.
Usyk vs Dubois round by round as brutal knockout cements Ukrainian's place in history
OLEKSANDR USYK cemented his name in the list of all-time boxing greats as he became a three-time undisputed champion with a fifth round knockout win over Daniel Dubois.
Usyk dropped Dubois multiple times as he put any doubts about his first win over the Brit to bed by cementing the repeat and avoiding the revenge.
Here, SunSport's Jack Figg gives his round-by-round verdict...
ROUND ONE
Usyk looks light on his toes, swaying side to side, Dubois plants his feet and walks forward.
Stiff jab from Usyk appears to almost wake Dubois up and the Brit responds with a one-two.
Usyk searches to the body with a left, blocks a right hand from Dubois and ends the round with a menacing combo.
Usyk 10 Dubois 9
ROUND TWO
Dubois lunges in with a right hand, Usyk expertly takes half a step back and responds with a counter left.
Another right misses from Dubois and he takes a left cross which has him on shaky legs.
Already Usyk is finding his rhythm, making Dubois miss and certainly making him pay.
Usyk 10 Dubois 9 (Usyk 20 Dubois 18)
ROUND THREE
Usyk staggers back after a right hand from Dubois - maybe more off balance than hurt.
Dubois charges forward with a left hook, right hand but Usyk covers up well.
Huge left hook lands on the button from Usyk, sweat sprays off Dubois face.
Usyk 10 Dubois 9 (Usyk 30 Dubois 27)
ROUND FOUR
Right uppercut lands on Usyk's belt-line in a genuine case of dejavu from low-blow gate in their first fight.
Dubois traps Usyk in the corner, lands a right but the Ukrainian legend slips off before any troubling damage can be done.
Left hand lands for Usyk but Dubois grabs on and closes the distance, smart defence to cap off his best round so far.
Usyk 9 Dubois 10 (Usyk 39 Dubois 37)
ROUND FIVE
Right hook followed by a left hand lands for Usyk has Dubois teetering backwards.
Dubois comes forward, charging at Usyk and the two trade off in the corner but DOWN GOES DUBOIS after a counter right hook.
He makes it to his feet but is dropped with another left hook and the fight is over! Dubois fails to beat the count and Usyk is once again undisputed heavyweight world champion.

When the pair did finally arrive, footage surfaced online of Dubois' entourage being refused entry by security.
It is claimed Stan essentially told them Dubois - one half of the night's headline act - would not proceed without them.
Oleksandr Usyk has press conference in stitches as he NAMES the left hook that floored Daniel Dubois at Wembley
The ringside seating area had close to 50 chairs saved for guests of Stan Dubois.
Despite the chaotic build-up to the undisputed title bout - it is unlikely to have affected the result of the fight.
Usyk - now a three-time undisputed champ across two weights - dropped Dubois with a right hook in before a chopping left closed the show.
He now has two victories of Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury and Dubois.
Usyk has warned he has just one bout left in his iconic career but could not commit to who he will sign off against.
He even teased unwanted trilogies with Fury and Joshua or a gimmick rematch against Derek Chisora - who he beat in 2020 - as options.
But Joseph Parker is set to be ordered by the WBO as Usyk's next mandatory challenger.
For Dubois, he is set to take some time out of the ring as his promoter Frank Warren backed him to bounce back.
'You just run out of things to say' – Usyk is a modern day great and one of the best boxers we have ever seen
OLEKSANDR USYK is a modern day great and one of the best boxers we have ever seen.
The Ukrainian battered a gallant but completely outclassed Daniel Dubois in their Wembley rematch to become a three-time undisputed champion.
Two of those came at heavyweight after he had already cleaned up the cruiserweight division.

Warren said: "He has got to learn from it. He is only 27.
"I look at Frank Bruno for example, three times he fought for a world title and he got it on the fourth attempt.
"Daniel has won a world title so hopefully he will come back, but the bottom line is it was Usyk's night and he is a special, special boxer."
Warren pointed to Dubois dropping his hands - out of exhaustion - as the mistake that led to the KO.
He said: "That is what Daniel needs to learn from this fight, to try and learn and develop the mental attitude that Usyk has.
"Daniel didn't stick to the task, he got careless, he dropped his hands and paid the price."
Warren then added: "For Daniel now, he'll have a little break, think about things and he has got to resurrect himself.
"There are lots of fighters over the years who have been beaten and come back even stronger. That is what he has to do.
"He can punch, he can hurt you and it's just developing other aspects of his game. He's got to come back and make a statement."

England's Agyemang leads youthful charge at Women's Euros

OBERENTFELDEN, Switzerland, July 25 (Reuters) - In a few short years, striker Michelle Agyemang has gone from being a ball girl at Wembley to scoring vital goals for England that will see them contest the Women's European Championship final on Sunday as she leads the charge for young players in Switzerland. The 19-year-old came off the bench to score two crucial equalisers in the knockout stage against Sweden and Italy that helped them into the decider against Spain, playing with a youthful freedom and swagger that has lit up the competition. "What a tournament from Michelle, especially coming in with the seniors just a couple of months ago ... what a great player, what a bright future she's got," England defender Lucy Bronze said. "She's a little bit of the unknown and she brings something different ... I think it gives her a lot of confidence and the team give her a lot of freedom," Bronze added. Unburdened by expectations, young players like Agyemang may be able to play freely but there is still pressure, with Norway's Signe Gaupset telling Reuters that playing with the likes of Ada Hegerberg and Caroline Graham Hansen took some getting used to. "They were like my idols when I was young, and it's really cool to play with them now in the national team and look up to them. What they are doing is so great, (showing us) how to be a professional athlete, everything they are doing to be as good as possible, it's great," Gaupset said. The 20-year-old Gaupset was one of the breakout stars in the group stage, scoring two goals and creating two more as her side beat Iceland in their final group game that catapulted her into the starting team for their quarter-final against Italy, which they lost by a last-minute goal. Despite being only 21, Switzerland's Smilla Vallotto has already amassed 27 caps for her country, most of them in the midfield engine room, where she has had plenty of support from more senior players. "Lia Waelti means a lot to me, she helps me both on and off the field, she is always there to discuss different situations, but also to just talk about life. She is 100% someone who has been important to me in this championship," she told Reuters. Vallotto, who is making a move from Swedish club Hammarby to German side VfL Wolfsburg, said she had learned a lot over the course of her first major tournament. "The international level of football is a bit different than playing in Hammarby, but I've had a very good season in Sweden and I've played in Europe, so I feel very comfortable there," she said. Whether she starts Sunday's final up front or on the bench, Agyemang will enjoy similar support in the England squad. "I think she's quality. I think what she brings, she's a nightmare to play against," England and Arsenal defender Leah Williamson said. "I'm glad she's my teammate at club and country. She deserves her flowers. I hope she gets them ... I hope she's ready to go at the weekend."

Moment tennis star saves bug from being squished on court… just for ball boy to kill it seconds later

TENNIS star Maria Sakkari gently removed a bug from the court during her match last night... only for a ball boy to then stomp on it. The former world No3 was taking on second seed Emma Navarro in Washington DC. 6 6 6 During the match, Sakkari paused when she noticed a bug chilling on the court. The 30-year-old stooped to pick it up before carefully taking it seemingly out of harm's way. Fans clapped Sakkari's kind act, with the commentator saying: "Good work there from Sakkari, taking care of the local wildlife." The initially heartwarming scene then took a brutal turn, when a ball boy killed the bug by stomping on it. Members of the crowd gasped and laughed in equal measure at the bizarre incident. While even Sakkari couldn't help but giggle as she prepared to return serve. Unaffected by the incident, Sakkari went on to beat Navarro 7-5 7-6 in one of her best wins of the year. BEST ONLINE CASINOS - TOP SITES IN THE UK 6 The Greek will be back in action later today when she takes on Britain's Emma Raducanu in the quarter-finals. Raducanu possesses a 3-0 record over Sakkari, having beaten her in the semi-finals on the way to winning the US Open in 2021. The pair also met at Wimbledon last year, with the Brit favourite triumphing 6-2 6-3. Raducanu booked her spot in the last eight with a brilliant 6-4 6-2 win over four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka. After the match, the 22-year-old said: "I'm really pleased with that match. "I thought that it was pretty mature, and I was holding onto my own service games really well. I knew going into the match that Naomi has been playing good, loves the hard court. "So I was going to have to play well and manage my own service games, because she's very dangerous, hits a big ball, and serves extremely well. Very pleased with how I managed all the situations there. "Naomi is pure speed, which is very difficult to deal with, especially on these courts, where it's very lively. It was extremely important to start the point well on my serve."

The fee is said to be in the region of £850,000, plus a 50% sell-on clause with the Scotland international having two years left on his contract. LAFC, who feature Odin Thiago Holm in their ranks on-loan from Celtic, have made it to the MLS Cup final two of the last three years. Porteous had two years at Watford, after joining for a fee in the region of £450,000 back in January 2023. He spent the last six months on loan at Preston North End. He was at the peak of his powers when he blotted his copybook with a poor tackle on Germany's Ilkay Gundogan which led to a red card and saw Scotland down to ten men in their opener. He's since described the moment as the toughest of his career. The crude challenge led to a penalty which the Germans converted on their way to a thumping 5-1 victory. And - after reviewing the incident - Uefa extended the 25-year-old's ban, ruling him out of his side's two other group games. Porteous said at the time: 'It was obviously really tough, probably the hardest thing that I've ever had to go through personally. 'You can't be sulking, you can't be feeling sorry for yourself, you've got to help the boys. 'I thought I tried to do that to the best I could, but obviously when you leave the camp it's a bit of a hit. 'But I've got a lot of good people around me, and they looked after me as well. 'I feel like I'm in a lot better place now, but as I said it was really tough.' Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page
