Samsung Galaxy phone drops to cheapest price with lesser-known code
Samsung has a full range of smartphones. While the Galaxy S models usually take all the headlines, the Galaxy A models offer much the same experience for a lot less money. That's why Samsung nicknames them 'Galaxy Awesome'.
The great thing about Galaxy A models is the price, with the Galaxy A36 being one of the more affordable models. Not only is this phone good value for money, but Argos is running a double discount on it: the Galaxy A36 is reduced to £324.99, instantly saving £75 off the launch price, but then there's an extra 10% off.
That means shoppers can get the Samsung Galaxy A36 for £292.49 on Argos, the cheapest it has ever been. To save the extra 10% you'll have to use the code 'RED10' at checkout, so remember to add the code when putting in your payment details.
It's also available from Amazon but costs a little more at £399, while shoppers can also buy it direct from Samsung too. The advantage of buying from Samsung is that there are trade-in offers you can take advantage of.
However, to get this much of a discount – the Argos deal saves you £107.50 off the original price from Samsung – you'd need to trade in a phone that's better than the Galaxy A36, so it's not worth it.
Those looking for a phone deal that's not the Galaxy A36, then the Poco X7 Pro on Amazon is £269, saving £75, and this gamer's phone offers more power, a bigger battery and faster charging, but the user experience isn't as smooth as Samsung offers.
The Samsung Galaxy A36 has a large 6.7-inch AMOLED display, 256GB of storage and comes in a great modern design, with IP67 protection against water, so it will be happy at the beach.
It's powered by Snapdragon hardware, but here it's mid-range Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, so this isn't the fastest phone around. While it will be fine for day-to-day activities like checking emails and social media, however it doesn't have the power for a great gaming experience, which we'd urge customers to consider when shopping.
Another drawback to the budget Galaxy A36 model is the display. The model has been noted to have a 'dim' display when used outdoors, something not found to be an issue on the higher end Galaxy S25 range.
One of the great things is that Samsung offers 6 years of updates. That means your phone will still get the latest features and still have security updates in 2031. Samsung's One UI is one of the most popular phone experiences in Android devices, with plenty of options for customisation.
There's a triple camera on the back, including a 50-megapixel main sensor, with Galaxy AI editing features bundled in, so once users have snapped their photo, it can be cleaned up using AI.
The Samsung Galaxy A36 sits below the Galaxy A56 and these two devices make up the mid-range tier of Samsung phones before you get to the Galaxy S25 models above it.

Book lovers can pick up a cheaper 16GB Kindle Colorsoft as new device launches
Kindle has launched a cheaper version of the Colorsoft and a kids version of the device Those who love to pick up a good book and just relax are in luck because Amazon has launched a brand new Kindle Colorsoft - perfect for those who want to immerse themselves even more. The new Kindle Colorsoft has 16GB of space instead of the usual 32GB. Shoppers can grab it for £239.99 instead of the £269.99 cost of the 32GB version and they'll also get three months of Kindle Unlimited. It has everything book lovers love about Kindle in colour. Including a high-contrast Colorsoft display, fast page turns, an adjustable warm light, weeks of battery life, and access to the incredible Kindle bookstore. Readers can browse covers in colour in their Kindle Library, experience graphic novels coming to life in colour, see book photos and images in colour, or add highlights in yellow, orange, blue, and pink, which can be filtered through later. Plus, for customers who prefer to read on pages with a dark background, there's a new Page Colour feature that will invert the black text and white backgrounds of the pages inside books. Kindle has also launched a kids' version of Colorsoft. This includes an illustrated cover, one year of Amazon Kids+, and a two-year worry-free guarantee - at a more expensive £259.99. For readers looking for an alternative, shoppers can get the Kobo Clara for £129.99. It has good reviews from shoppers with many praising their ability to download 'free books from their local library'. There's also the colour version of the Kobo for £209.99 - as a rival to Coloursoft. It is compatible with the Kobo Stylus 2 for marking up notes on pages. As the 16GB version of the Colorsoft is new there are no reviews on amazon yet, however there are plenty of glowing reviews of the existing bigger 32GB Colorsoft version. One reviewer said: "After weeks of researching which Kindle to buy, my partner kindly treated me to the Kindle Colorsoft and I adore it. It's so lightweight and the colour screen is stunning (especially with the vibrant mode selected). "We chose this one because I love seeing in colour book covers and I wanted a waterproof Kindle so I could read in the hot tub/by the pool/in the bath. No issues with my device." Another said: "Bought this as my second Kindle to have at home while my Paperwhite Signature edition travels in my bag with me so I am never without my Kindle! I was a bit worried I would notice the quality difference compared to the Paperwhite but the Colorsoft is a great reading experience and I don't notice any graininess. I am really enjoying reading on it." One user who gave it three stars out of five pointed out they found it heavy, stating: "Just a little too big and heavy for my usual one-handed reading with my Paperwhite. I can live without colour covers and highlights until they make it smaller!" While a different user praised the screen in sunny situations. They said: "This is a beautiful Kindle. If you read on your Kindle a lot it is so worth it. The colours are very pretty, it's perfect hand size and easy to navigate. "I absolutely love it and feel it's worth every considerable penny! The screen is brilliant in sunlight and the light quality is great for darker moments. If you want a real book reader's treat, this is one to have."

Designer perfume deal normally £80 on sale today for £8 per bottle
The "sparkling, fresh, and bright" perfume is suitable "all year round" and costs far less than usual If you love the scent of luxury but don't want to break the bank, there's a retailer you might want to check out. Secret Sales is a UK-based online marketplace that offers a variety of discounted fashion and beauty products from high-end and designer labels. From shoes and handbags to accessories, clothing, perfumes, and makeup, budget-conscious luxury shoppers have a lot to explore. They frequently refresh their clearance section, with prices starting as low as £1.90. One of the standout deals available right now is on not just one, but two bottles of a designer fragrance. You can grab double the amount of Chopard Brilliant Wish Eau De Parfum for a fraction of its regular price. Normally, buying both would set you back £80, according to Secret Sales, but beauty enthusiasts can snag them for just £17.10 total, which breaks down to a little over £8 per bottle. Secret Sales suggests that this duo deal is perfect for anyone wanting to treat themselves or stock up on their favourite fragrance for less. Plus, it could be a great opportunity to start shopping for a loved one's birthday. Chopard's Brilliant Wish perfume is an amber floral scent for women, crafted by Louise Turner and Michel Girard, and it was launched in 2010 by Chopard. The top notes feature pink pepper and fruity elements, while the heart notes include star jasmine and violet leaf. The base notes include amber, wood, and musk. The scent is described as "sparkling, fresh, and bright, with a touch of elegance throughout". Secret Sales says it's sweet but not overwhelming, making it perfect for any season. Secret Sales isn't the only place to grab Chopard Brilliant Wish Eau De Parfum. Superdrug has a 30ml bottle for just £7.97, down from £18.95. Shein is also selling it for £9.99, reduced from £30. AllBeauty has it in stock too, priced at £12.95. Another option for shoppers is Amazon, where a 30ml bottle is listed for £18.99. This perfume boasts a rating of 4.2 stars out of five on Amazon. In the reviews, one person said: "Chopard "Brilliant Wish" could be a signature scent quite easily... Beautiful glass bottle that looks like a precious gem and a lovely soft fragrance with a delicious hint of spice... Simply marvellous!!!" Another put: "I love Chopard perfumes so thought I would try this one. I do like it a lot but knocked a star off as I felt I had to keep reapplying despite it being a parfum." Another wrote: "The bottle is gorgeous. This fragrance is light, pretty and feminine. " They added: "Not much projection or longevity. This is perfect for a gift for young woman. Hard to overspray it. As an adult I would spray my pulse points, back of neck and my hair then spray a veil to walk through. After the fragrance is gone the bottle would make a beautiful Christmas tree ornament." However, a customer didn't seem too impressed, and claimed: "None of the other notes are present at all I was hoping for a floral scent. Maybe some baby powder at the end but ZERO FLORAL I've worn chopard before this was a disappointment I think maybe it's old, that's why?" Meanwhile, someone else said: "It's a light sent not over powering vary nice and affordable." There aren't any reviews of the Chopard Brilliant Wish Eau De Parfum on the Secret Sales website, which may be off-putting for those who prefer reading through customer feedback on the website they are buying from. However, you can read through shoppers' experiences on Trustpilot. The retailer has an overall score of 4.2 stars out of five on the consumer business website. One reviewer said: "I've used Secret Sales a few times over the years and have indeed recommended it to friends as well. It's easy to use… fast delivery and you can usually pick up some excellent bargains! I will definitely be using it again and also recommending it to all my friends and family, too." A second put: "Secret sales is surely where to go if you want to purchase designer clothing without breaking your bank account." A third said: "Always great to shop on this site, so much quality choice and good prices." However, some didn't have good experiences to share. One said: "Whilst the customer service at secret sales is responsive, nothing gets done. I have been waiting for my parcel for almost 2 weeks now and the courier hasn't received it." A second claimed: "Ordered Gucci sunglasses for a birthday present. Arrived within the week . Order was totally different design to original order." A third commented: "I order a dress that never arrived. Customer service are useless." But, the majority of comments were positive. Another added: "Everthing I have orered has been perfect and on time." Someone else said: "Great products at best prices. I have shopped on secret sales many times and the items arrive on time and are great deals."
