Orlando Dreamers ownership group to speak at I-Drive Chamber of Commerce luncheon
The Orlando Dreamers get one step closer to bringing Major League Baseball to Orlando as they'll be front and center at the International Drive Chamber of Commerce's June Luncheon on Monday, June 16, 2025.
According to a release, the group of Dreamers owner Dr Rick Workman, co-owner John Morgan, COO Jim Schnorf, and MLB ambassador Barry Larkin will focus on the team's effort in bringing the MLB to Orange County.

They'll also talk about the proposed stadium they plan to have built on International Drive.
The group will answer questions about the potential impact the Dreamers can have in Central Florida.

Kyle Stowers homers, Otto Lopez hits tiebreaking double as Marlins beat Brewers
MILWAUKEE (AP) — All-Star Kyle Stowers hit his 23rd homer and Otto Lopez capped off a three-hit day with a tiebreaking double in the seventh inning to lead the Miami Marlins to a 5-1 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday. Lopez's double against Rick Mears cleared the bases, although he only got credit for two RBIs because the third run scored on a fielding error by center fielder Blake Perkins. Aaron Ashby (1-1), who allowed the leadoff batter to reach on an infield single, took the loss. Nelson surrendered a triple by Tommy Pham off the Clemente Wall in right field with two outs in the second — the ball glancing off right fielder Corbin Carroll's glove before hitting the wall and bounding away — during his six innings of work. BLUE JAYS 6, TIGERS 2 DETROIT (AP) — Vladimir Guerrero Jr. doubled twice and scored a pair of runs as Toronto defeated slumping Detroit. Quero has 4 hits, White Sox hit 4 HRs in 12-5 win over Cubs
CHICAGO (AP) — Rookie Edgar Quero had his first four-hit game, rookie Chase Meidroth homered among his three hits, and the Chicago White Sox beat Shota Imanaga and the crosstown Cubs 12-5 on Friday night for their sixth win in seven games. Colson Montgomery, Austin Slater and Mike Tauchman also went deep as the White Sox set season highs in runs and hits (18). Miguel Vargas also had three hits and Lenyn Sosa drove in three runs. Adrian Houser (6-2) pitched 6 2/3 innings of five-hit ball as the White Sox handed the Cubs their fourth loss in five games.. Reese McGuire's three-run homer off Houser with two outs in the seventh finally put the Cubs on the board after trailing 11-0. The last-place White Sox gained a measure of revenge against the contending Cubs, who swept a three-game series at Wrigley Field in May while outscoring them 26-8. The Cubs remained one game behind first-place Milwaukee in the NL Central. Shohei Ohtani's home run streak ends at 5 games in Dodgers' win over Red Sox at Fenway Park
BOSTON (AP) — Shohei Ohtani was held homerless for the first time in a week in the Los Angeles Dodgers' 5-2 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Friday night. Ohtani struck out twice, singled, walked and hit a foul popup. His five-game home run streak leaves him tied with six other players in Dodgers history, most recently Max Muncy in 2019. When Ohtani came up for the final time with one out and one on and the Dodgers leading 5-2 in the top of the ninth, Red Sox manager Alex Cora brought in left-hander Brennan Bernardino to replace righty Jorge Alcala.
