THE best pub for Scots music lovers has been revealed – and it's not where you might think.
Scotland's finest restaurants, pubs, and live music venues were celebrated this week at The Entertainment and Hospitality Awards 2025.

The glamorous event, held at Glasgow's DoubleTree by Hilton, surprised the audience with an exclusive live performance from Europop legends The Vengaboys.
Britain's Got Talent's viral finalist Vinnie McKee also took to the stage for a special performance.
The prestigious accolades were determined through a combination of public nominations, voting, and judges' visits.
And Cheers Bar, located in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, claimed the coveted title of Best Music Venue.
The Golf Inn @ Ladybank in Cupar, Groucho's Music Bar in Dundee, and Malones in Aberdeen were all 'Highly Recommended' in the same category.
Cheers Bar, situated on Coatbridge's Main Street, operates seven days a week and hosts live entertainment every weekend.
The bar's loyal patrons flocked to social media to congratulate the staff on their 'well-deserved' win.
One wrote: 'It's definitely the best place to get up and hit a boogie 2 step.'
Another commented: 'Brill, well deserved – great wee place to go.'
A third said: 'Fantastic – well done, troops!'

A fourth added: 'Absolutely amazing – well done, everyone xx!'
Meanwhile, Glasgow's BaaD, RED Sky Bar, and Berlinkys were among the big winners at The Entertainment and Hospitality Awards. Other notable wins included red-hot takeout kings Spudbuds in Ayr, Codona's and The Craftsman Company in Aberdeen, The Golf Inn Ladybank, and The Bawbee in Stirling.
The night's most prestigious honour, the Lifetime Achievement Award, was presented to entertainment and hospitality icon Donald MacLeod.
Warren said: 'We have winners, highly recommended venues, and entrants from every corner of the country – but it does appear Glasgow's hospitality sector has really delivered in the eyes of customers and voters this time around.
'Congratulations to everyone recognised by the public and therefore by our awards. These titles really do mean a lot – thank you to everyone who voted and to all who have supported the industry in these difficult times.

Clogher Valley community festival to celebrate ‘shared heritage' of area
The Clogher Valley festival programme will begin with the Lisgenny Band Parade in Aughnacloy at 8pm tomorrow — a celebration of Ulster-Scots music and traditional bands. On Sunday, the community will gather for the Annahoe Orange and Purple District Parade and Service, at Ballygawley Presbyterian Church at 7.30pm, led by Crilly Pipe Band. The Ballygawley Family Fun Night and Duck Race will be held at Coronation Field on Tuesday July 8 from 7pm. There will be live music, BBQ, games, bouncy castles, and the hotly contested duck race on the night. Vigil takes place in Donaghadee for Sarah Montgomery On Wednesday night there will be a talk at Ballynanny Black Hall at 7.30pm by renowned historian Quincey Dougan, speaking about the legacy of the Clogher Valley Volunteers. The week concludes on Friday July 11 with the much-anticipated Proms on the Pitch, taking place at the Roughan 3G Pitch from 7.30pm. There will be live performances from Roughan Silver Band, Brookeborough Flute Band, Stewartstown Orange Ladies Choir, and international soloists Lauren Kells and Andrew Irwin. Families can enjoy food and children's entertainment before the grand bonfire finale and a stirring Last Night of the Proms singalong. One of the festival organisers, Allister Erskine, said: 'This festival is more than just a schedule of events — it's a celebration of identity, unity, and community pride.
