Three Premier League clubs 'targeting £43m-rated Real Madrid star in summer move' after breakout Club World Cup campaign
The 21-year-old has enjoyed an impressive breakout tournament at the Club World Cup and is said to have a release clause of just €50million (£43m).
Garcia has scored twice and provided one assist in three games, having acted as a replacement for the ill Kylian Mbappe.
He scored in group games against Al-Hilal and Red Bull Salzburg, claiming an assist in Madrid's victory over Pachuca, as the Spanish giants eased to the top of Group H.
The Spaniard, who has come through the club's academy, has even been compared to Real Madrid legend Raul by boss Xabi Alonso.
And a trio of Premier League clubs are now eyeing the striker, according to Diario AS.
They claim the 'top Premier League clubs have called the Madrid striker's entourage' about a summer move and that there has been 'tentative contact' to work out his contractual situation.
Leeds United and Sunderland are reportedly two of the clubs interested.
Gonzalo has two years remaining on his contract at Madrid, but his buyout clause is reportedly a relatively affordable €50m (£43m).
However, the academy star wants to remain at Real Madrid and play for Xabi Alonso.
He is said to want to establish himself in the first team and follow in the footsteps of Marco Asencio, Dani Carvajal, Nacho Fernandez, and Lucas Vázquez.
But despite impressing at the Club World Cup, it will be tricky for the 21-year-old to displace Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo or Endrick in Madrid's starting lineup next season.
Meanwhile, this season Gonzalo scored 25 goals and provided four assists for Real Madrid Castilla, who play in the Spanish third tier.
'I've followed the Castilla a lot, not just him,' Alonso said. 'To be honest, what he does isn't a surprise. He did it many times for the Castilla.
'He's a typical No.9 who knows how to wait for his opportunity and moves well. He reminds me of Raúl, always in the right position, waiting for the opportunity, getting chances and fighting for them. I'm very happy for him, and we need more of him.'
Asked whether García will remain in his squad next season, Alonso said: 'There are no decisions regarding the start of the 2025–26 season... we're focused on the Club World Cup with who we have. The Club World Cup tells you things, but there's no decision.'
Garcia added: 'It's a dream to be here, to be able to play minutes in this shirt, which means everything to me,' he proclaimed. 'It's truly a dream come true.
'I hope to score many more goals in this shirt. Now I'm enjoying this experience to the fullest.'

Goncalo Garcia gives Real Madrid edge in Club World Cup victory over Juventus
Real Madrid hit their stride at the Club World Cup on Tuesday, edging Juventus 1-0 to reach the quarter-finals thanks to a second-half strike from academy graduate Gonzalo Garcia as Kylian Mbappe made his tournament debut. Garcia, deputising for Mbappe after the France forward missed the group stage due to gastroenteritis, found the back of the net early in the second half to set up a meeting with either Borussia Dortmund or Monterrey. Mbappe made his much-anticipated appearance as a second-half substitute, delighting the partisan crowd who packed Hard Rock Stadium to near capacity in a demonstration of the Spanish giants considerable global appeal. Juventus had early chances but gradually faded under the relentless pressing of Xabi Alonso 's side and had goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio to thank for sparing them a heavier defeat. After a lacklustre group phase, Real, playing in Alonso's favoured 3-4-3, showed glimpses of what they could be capable of under their new coach. Juve striker Randal Kolo Muani, set up by Kenan Yildiz's incisive pass that split the Real Madrid defence, attempted an audacious chip in the seventh minute but sent the ball narrowly over Thibaut Courtois's crossbar. Moments later, Yildiz tried his luck from long range but saw his effort fly wide. Real Madrid grew into the match and nearly capitalised on a defensive lapse by Juventus. Jude Bellingham, aiming a sharp angled strike, was denied by Di Gregorio, whose quick reactions kept the Italian side level. Di Gregorio was called into action again shortly before halftime, making an impressive save to parry away a thunderous long-range shot from Federico Valverde. Juventus, under pressure late in the first half, must have been satisfied to reach the interval with the scoreline still goalless. Twice early in the second half Di Gregorio denied Bellingham and Dean Huijsen, but he was helpless when Garcia headed home from Trent Alexander Arnold's pin-point cross in the 54th minute for his third goal in the tournament. The Italian keeper sustained some hope for Juventus, his reaction save preventing Valverde from scoring with a bicycle kick. 'Mbappe, Mbappe!' the crowd chanted as the France forward, after warming up, ran towards the bench to get ready to replace Garcia midway through the second half. The 26-year-old was often in a good position but he was not properly served by his team mates and his start in the 32-team tournament eventually looked like a glorified workout
