'I love these €15 AirPod alternatives and they're perfect for holidays'
Having previously bought some Amazon "cheapies" for my children, I decided if I can't be trusted with pricey ones anymore, I'll have to do the same. I went on Amazon, found some that looked the same sort of style from a brand I've never heard of and snapped them up then and there.
At €15.41 they arrived with no fancy packaging and a pretty basic looking spec, so I wasn't expecting too much from them. But months later, I'm still using them - and I'm not missing my AirPods at all.
The YHFvesv Wireless Earbuds feature upgraded Bluetooth 5.3 technology that offers a surprisingly fast and stable connection. They were easy enough to pair with my phone first time and they reconnect after charging, reports the Mirror.
The battery life is pretty decent too. I can get about 6 (ish) hours out of them, but I do tend to find the case needs to be charged more often than my Apple AirPod case ever did. I'm not really one for technical specs, but according to Amazon these earbuds have "dynamic drivers deliver rich sound with deep bass, while ENC noise reduction and four built-in microphones provide clear calls by filtering out background noise."
They're a real bargain - the earbuds deliver a solid bass kick for tunes and crystal-clear audio for podcasts or streaming. Plus, they've got nifty touch controls for tunes, calls, and volume that you can trigger with just a tap on either bud.
I've been lucky enough not to test their water resistance yet, but Amazon reckons they're IPX8 rated, so they should shrug off rain and sweat no bother.
And the price? A mere €15.41. I could misplace ten sets and still be saving a packet.
They're definitely coming on holidays with me this year, and I've even snagged a little case with a clip to keep them handy. But these aren't your only option if you're after wallet-friendly earbuds.
Also on Amazon, the soundcore by Anker P20i True Wireless Earbuds are currently available for €29.62. Very also have a great deal with €17 off JBuds Mini True Wireless Earbuds, dropping the price from €46.22 to a tempting €28.44. These little gems pack a punch with heavy bass despite their compact size, earning praise for being "good quality" and "value for money".
And people are very happy with the YHFvesv Wireless Earbuds too. One customer said: "Amazing pair of airpods! Worth the money very light, look like Apple airpods and the sound quality is really good, they also sit comfortably in your ear. Battery also lasts ages without needing charge. Not too big in size and instant pairing. Such a good buy!".
Another wrote: "These earbuds are a game-changer! From the moment I put them in, I was blown away by the crystal-clear audio and rich, deep bass. They fit incredibly well, staying secure even during my most intense workouts, and are so comfortable I often forget I'm wearing them."
And yet another pleased buyer added: "Easy to connect to phone and looks just like Apple Airpods! They fit nicely in the ears and the size is perfect for on the go travel. They have good battery life. Amazing for the price!"

Nanoleaf Pegboard review: declutters desk, charges devices and colours your life
Nanoleaf's range of lights include decorative wall panels and bulbs along with the likes of the stunning Umbra Cup Smart Lamp that I previously reviewed. The firm's new Pegboard Desk Dock is a clever three-in-one device that offers personalised lighting effects, handy storage hooks for keeping your desk organised along with useful charging ports. It's pitched as a customisable lamp accessory for gaming desks. It works with both Mac and Windows computers and is compatible with the Nanoleaf Desktop app. READ MORE: I tested Xgimi MoGo 4 to see can a portable projector deliver enough entertainment on the go READ MORE: Nothing Phone 3a review: is this the best smartphone you can buy for less than €400? One side of the unit is a pegboard that provides somewhere to hang accessories like headsets and gaming console controllers, not to mention your smartphone. You need to assemble this side yourself but it only takes a few minutes. The opposite side houses 64 colour LEDs with screen-mirroring support for those moments when you just want a decent ambient lighting show. Pegboard Desk Dock is a robustly made device that doesn't take up much room on my desk. The base is only 107mm x 107mm x 18mm in size, while the pegboard is 23mm x 91mm x 274mm. It helps keep my desk clutter free when I am working while enabling me to have some accessories within easy reach whenever I need to use them. Both sides of the Nanoleaf Pegboard Desk Dock (Image: Nanoleaf) And when I'm not working I can rotate the Pegboard Desk Dock to the LED lighting side for immersive visuals to brighten up the room. You can easily flip between the two modes thanks to its rotating mechanism. You can have full control over the colours and the lighting if you wish, or you can use handy presets such as Lava Lamp or Waterfall. If you are listening to music, you can sync the lighting show to the beat easily. It all works smoothly. I'm always in need of more charging ports when I'm working and I love that this clever device includes one USB-A and two USB-C ports along with a USB-C Power Delivery input port. Charging is capped at 15W but that's acceptable for such a versatile device. Nanoleaf Pegboard Desk Dock verdict Overall, I'm super pleased with this fun Nanoleaf accessory which has brightened up my working environment and proved a great addition to my desktop set-up. Nanoleaf pricing and availability Nanoleaf Pegboard Desk Dock costs €69.99 from Nanoleaf. There is also €10 off the twin pack which costs €129.99. You can also buy the Pegboard Desk Dock on Amazon. Hozo Design M-Cube 02 review: hands-free laser level sticks directly to surfaces
Hozo Design M-Cube 02 Anti-Gravity Laser Level is a clever hands-free laser version of a spirit level. It is capable of the most precise wall measurement and alignment. It's such a tool useful for all manner of DIY projects thanks to its brilliant suction mounting system that means it can sit securely on any wall or surface, once it is relatively smooth or slightly textured, leaving both of your hands free to do the job in hand. The firm said that it's compatible with most wall materials, including drywall, brick, concrete, wood and stone. READ MORE: I tested Starlink Mini to see if satellite internet really could be the future READ MORE: Eufy E15 robot mower review: is this clever wireless machine the future of gardening? Hozo Design M-Cube 02 everyday use Laser levels come in handy for a variety of tasks such as hanging pictures. This one features a vacuum pump that attaches directly to your working surface with plenty of suction every time. It comes with EPDM rubber suction cups that ensure a firm hold without causing any damage to your walls. M-Cube 02 has horizontal and vertical levelling beams and laser-based distance measuring which allow you to mark exactly where your fittings should go without the need for a separate tape measure. It allows you to measure in Imperial or Metric. Hozo Design M-Cube 02 sticks to any relatively smooth surface (Image: Hozo) There's also a convenient midpoint finder and a mode to measure the distance between two surfaces. This is ideal for room layout planning, aligning wall art with symmetry and evenly spacing furniture. You can use the M-Cube 02 as a high-precision laser level, complete with horizontal and vertical bubble indicators, or take it to another level by pairing it with an original M-Cube for advanced digital angle readouts. Both come together in the Premium Combo bundle, incidentally. The companion Meazor app then syncs measurements directly to your smartphone. Hozo Design M-Cube 02 verdict I'm not the most enthusiastic or capable DIY person, but I found M-Cube 02 super helpful and game changing. And I'd imagine anyone in the building trade would find it an essential and helpful tool. Pricing and availability Hozo Design M-Cube 02 Anti-Gravity Laser Level costs €175.50 (on Amazon), or the Pro version (with the Green Laser Measure) costs €207.95 from Hozo, while or the Premium Combo bundle costs €268.95, also from Hozo.
