‘Salman Khan was pressing a real knife to my throat, I started bleeding': Ashok Saraf recalls suffering a deep cut during Jaagruti shoot
During a conversation with Radia Nasha Official, the actor recalled the incident and said, 'He was holding my throat with a knife and it was a real knife. Uski jo nok hoti hai vo kaat ke gayi aise… As soon as we started saying the dialogues, I tried to escape from his hands. Salman zor se daba rahe the and then I said, 'Dheere se dabaao, katt raha hai yahan par' (He was putting a lot of pressure with the knife, I asked him to dial it down).
He added, 'He then asked me what he should do, maine bola ulta pakdo na. He said that the camera is facing towards us, dikh jaayega usme, then maine socha chhorro. We did the scene and when I saw later, there was a deep cut on my throat. Agar yahan ki nass katt jaati toh hum udhar hi…Main kabhi nahi bhoolunga (My nerve would have cut, I will never forget it). I am not sure if he (Salman) remembers this. Aise aadmi kisi ko yaad nahi rehte, bhool jaate hain.'

Salman and Ashok have starred in many films together, including, Karan Arjun, Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, Bandhan, and many others.
On the professional front Salman Khan was last seen in the action drama Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. He will next be seen in the sequel of his popular 2012 film Kick, which was officially in October. The actor also has a film based on the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict, directed by Apoorva Lakhia.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Salman and Mahesh have already had around four to five meetings, with the latest one taking place just a week ago in Mumbai. The discussions are reportedly centered around a period action thriller, a genre Salman has rarely explored in his three-decade-long career. 'Salman Khan and Mahesh Narayanan have been jamming on multiple ideas, and Salman has given a go-ahead to the filmmaker on a period-thriller with action. The film in discussion will be set in the 1970s to 1990s, and Mahesh will now come back for a full-length narration," the source told Pinkvilla. The project is said to be very different from Salman's usual fare. 'Be it Galwan, or the Mahesh Narayanan directorial—Salman is looking to explore new genres now, that challenge him. There will be a 100 percent clarity on the Mahesh Narayanan film before the end of this year," the source added. In parallel, the actor is also in touch with his frequent collaborator Kabir Khan. 'The duo is jamming on multiple ideas, and have a definite intent to collaborate. The discussions are happening across genres—from stylish action thrillers to high-octane dramas, and of course, the much-anticipated Bajrangi Bhaijaan sequel," the insider revealed. What's piquing fans' curiosity is the unique tone and setting of Mahesh's proposed film. 'It's a character in a world that Salman has not explored before. The things look positive at the moment for this collaboration," the source concluded. If things go as planned, Salman will wrap up Galwan by November or December 2025, and Mahesh Narayanan is expected to finish his Malayalam commitments in parallel.
