MyFashionChamber to put Malaysia on global map
Malaysia's textile and apparel exports continue to show resilience, with knitted and crocheted fabric exports valued at US$228.2 million (RM957 million) in 2023, and broader textile-related exports reaching US$227.4 million in 2024, underscoring the industry's growing economic potential.
Founded with the vision to establish Malaysia as a key player in the global fashion arena, MyFashionChamber sets out to redefine the future of fashion in the region by addressing long standing structural gaps within the industry by building sustainable bridges between talent, trade, education and international market access.
The Chamber was formed to provide advocacy, visibility, capacity building, and global networking for Malaysia's diverse fashion ecosystem.

Founder and chairperson Dr Leena Al-Mujahed said the initiative aims to foster robust international collaborations, develop clear export pathways for Malaysian designers, and ensure their creative talents are consistently represented on global platforms and at major industry events worldwide.

Anwar wraps up Italy visit with meeting with PM Giorgia Meloni
ROME: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will wrap up his three-day working visit to Italy with a bilateral meeting with his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni, at Palazzo Chigi here today. Anwar arrived in the capital on Tuesday as part of his visits to Italy, France and Brazil, which form part of Malaysia's ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and promote economic cooperation at the global level. In 2024, total trade between Malaysia and Italy recorded a two per cent increase, reaching RM14.61 billion (USD3.18 billion), compared with 2023. Between January and May 2025, total trade grew by 3.3 per cent year-on-year to RM6.5 billion (US$1.48 billion). Italy remained Malaysia's fifth-largest trading partner and the third-largest importer of Malaysian palm oil among European Union member states in 2024. Anwar will then depart for Paris, where he is scheduled to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron during his two-day stay there. Subsequently, Anwar will attend the 17th BRICS Leaders' Summit in Rio de Janeiro at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Boost users can now make payments with WeChat Pay QR codes in China
Users should take note that the option to enable UnionPay support will only be available to those who have upgraded to a Premium 10k account. — Photo by David Dvořáček on Unsplash Boost users are now able to make cross-border QR payments in China at Weixin Pay (known as WeChat Pay outside of China) merchants throughout the country. This means that Malaysian travellers visiting China will not be required to install any of the local e-wallet provider apps in order to perform cashless payments during their trip. However, support for UnionPay will first need to be enabled in the app beforehand, which can be done by navigating to the "Payment Services" page in the app. Users should take note that the option to enable UnionPay support will only be available to those who have upgraded to a Premium 10k account. This would require them to perform an eKYC verification using their MyKad or passport, along with providing other personal particulars. For more information on upgrading to a Premium 10k wallet, users can visit the Boost support page. This comes as part of the e-wallet's newly announced integration with the payment network UnionPay, which also includes other merchants on the network in Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Cambodia, South Korea, Australia, and other countries.
