What to know about the figure skating tribute show for plane crash victims
The tribute show, titled "Legacy on Ice," will feature dozens of the most well-known faces in American figure skating, from 1968 Olympic champion Peggy Fleming to 2022 Olympic champion Nathan Chen.
All proceeds from the exhibition, which runs from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET, will benefit the families of the victims who died in the Jan. 29 mid-air collision and the first responders who worked on the scene.

U.S. Figure Skating announced earlier this month that it would be hosting "Legacy on Ice" at Capital One Arena in Washington, just a few miles from the site of the Jan. 29 crash over a portion of the Potomac River.
The passenger plane involved in the incident had been returning from Wichita, Kansas, where much of the U.S. figure skating community had recently gathered for the 2025 national championships − and some of the top young figure skaters in the country then remained for a national development camp. Of the 60 passengers on the plane, U.S. Figure Skating later revealed, nearly half were figure skaters, coaches or family members returning home from the camp.
In total, all 67 people aboard the two aircrafts died in the collision, authorities said. The National Transportation Safety Board is still investigating the cause of the incident.
U.S. Figure Skating and Monumental Sports, which operates Capital One Arena, have portrayed "Legacy on Ice" as both a chance for the figure skating community to collectively mourn those lost in the crash as well as try to financially support their families through ticket sales and donations.
According to U.S. Figure Skating, 28 members of the figure skating community died in the mid-air collision on Jan. 29 − including 11 skaters, all between the ages of 11 and 16. The victims include:

Everly Livingston, 14 (Washington Figure Skating Club)
Olivia Eve Ter, 12 (Ion Figure Skating Club, Leesburg, Virginia)
Angela Yang, 11 (University of Delaware Figure Skating Club)
Edward Zhou, 16 (Skating Club of Northern Virginia)
Four coaches were also on board the fatal flight, including married couple Vadim Naumov and Evgenia Shishkova, who won the 1994 pairs world championship with Russia.
The skaters and their families represented a handful of figure skating clubs along the East Coast, specifically in the Washington area, Boston and Delaware.
Sunday's exhibition will be co-hosted by 1988 Olympic gold medalist Brian Boitano and 1992 Olympic champion Kristi Yamaguchi. It will also feature performances, or appearances, by some of the most recognizable names in the history of the sport, including:

Peggy Fleming, 1968 Olympic Champion
Scott Hamilton, 1984 Olympic Champion

U.S. figure skater Maxim Naumov, the son of Naumov and Shishkova, was also added to the list of participants earlier this week. He had been scheduled to compete in the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships after finishing fourth at nationals but withdrew following the Jan. 29 crash.
The exhibition will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET on Sunday at Capital One Arena in downtown Washington.
An encore showing of the exhibition will air on NBC at 1 p.m. ET on March 30.

In doing so, it scrapped a 2024 Biden administration proposal for the programs to start covering GLP-1s for patients with obesity. Several high-profile athletes — all of whom have existing ties to Trump — attended the ceremony and will serve on the President's Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition. The attendees included professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau, who will chair the council; controversial National Football League kicker Harrison Butker; World Wrestling Entertainment mainstay Paul 'Triple H' Levesque; golfer Annika Sorenstam; and football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor. The Eagles running back wasn't in attendance, but will be joined by golfers Jack Nicklaus, Nelly Korda, and Gary Player (who was also awarded the Medal of Freedom alongside Sorenstam); Tony Romo, Nick Bosa, and Barkley; legendary hockey player Wayne Gretzky; and baseball player Mariano Rivera. The list also includes NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, whom Trump repeatedly scrutinized during his first presidential term. Barkley was criticized during the off-season for spending time with President Trump on a golf outing prior to the Eagles' ring celebration.

49ers starting offensive lineman predicts that he'll make the Pro Bowl in 2025
While the San Francisco 49ers have a few jobs up for grabs in training camp ahead of their 2025 campaign, one player who's set in his spot is right tackle Colton McKivitz. McKivitz, 28, was San Francisco's fifth-round pick (No. 153 overall) in the 2020 NFL draft after a five-year collegiate career at West Virginia, where he earned All-Big 12 and All-American honors as a senior. After he spent most of his rookie season as a backup and most of the following year on the practice squad, McKivitz eventually took over as the team's starting right tackle in 2023 and has started all 34 games over the last two seasons. As he prepares to enter his third season in the role, McKivitz believes he'll be recognized as one of the top players at his position in the NFL in 2025. 'I'm going to be a Pro Bowler this year, I've told countless people," McKivitz shared with NBC Sports' Matt Maiocco earlier this week. "I'm just putting it out there just because that's going to hold me accountable and get me to where I want to go. If you don't fight for it, you won't get it.' The 49ers are no strangers to having one of their starting tackles make the Pro Bowl, as left tackle Trent Williams made it four straight seasons from 2020-23. However, McKivitz will really have to play great in 2025 to unseat Philadelphia's Lane Johnson, who's made the Pro Bowl each of the last three seasons and has made six in his career. Interestingly, the San Francisco Chronicle's Noah Furtado reported that McKivitiz had the "most impressive offensive/defensive lineman one-on-one rep of the day" on Friday, as he completely shut down a pass rush from Nick Bosa. Sha'Carri Richardson arrested in alleged domestic violence incident, police say
Sha'Carri Richardson was arrested after an alleged incident at the Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, according to a police report obtained by USA TODAY Sports. According to the report, Richardson was arrested for domestic violence on Sunday. Richardson and a male companion were involved in a verbal altercation as they exited through airport security, the police report states. Richardson allegedly pushed the man and he fell into a nearby column, according to the Seattle Police Department. The report states police viewed airport security footage. On that video, the report says, the man attempted to walk away from Richardson, but she continued to allegedly bump into him, the report says. Police also say Richardson threw a pair of headphones at the man. Richardson was booked at the South Correctional Entity in Des Moines, Washington, on Sunday and released on Monday, jail records show. 'We are aware of the report and we have no comment at this time,' USA Track and Field said to USA TODAY Sports. Richardson ran a 11.07 and finished second in her heat in the 100 meters to advance to Friday's semifinal at the U.S. track and field championships. She's withdrawn from the 100 semifinal and will also not run in the 200. The U.S. championships serves as a qualifing meet for the world championships. Richardson has a bye into the 100 at this year's world championships because she is the defending champion. Richardson earned a silver medal in the 100 at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She was also a part of Team USA's gold-medal winning 4x100-relay team. Richardson is one of the most recognizable American track and field athletes. She won the 100 meters at the 2020 Olympic trials but was later suspended for testing positive for marijuana and didn't compete at the Tokyo Olympics.
