Ravens added WR DeAndre Hopkins as an accessory, not a necessity
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has an undeniable reputation as a veteran in the NFL. Still, the Ravens had already reached climactic status on the offensive side of the ball in 2024. Given this, offensive coordinator Todd Monken shouldn't get too distracted by a desire to force-feed Hopkins the ball when other options have shown themselves to be adequate in an already stable offensive attack.
Furthermore, recent game logs suggest that Hopkins may play best as a third or fourth option (considering Ravens tight ends Isaiah Likely and Mark Andrews) in the passing game.
Hopkins was targeted five times in Super Bowl LIV, making only two catches in the biggest game of his career.
Surely, Hopkins creates a red-zone advantage against smaller slot defenders, but seeing that the Ravens led the NFL in rushing yards and finished No. 7 in total passing yards in 2024, a change to the offensive structure isn't merited. Hopkins isn't in the prime of his career anymore, and Monken should be focused on the star players on the Ravens offense who actually are.

Browns add QB Tyler Huntley
When you have two quarterbacks, you have none. When you have five quarterbacks, you're the Browns. When you have six quarterbacks, you're f—ked. Via Adam Schefter of the Browns have added Pro Bowl (seriously) quarterback Tyler Huntley. The reason is far less dysfunctional than the Browns have been. Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel have hamstring injuries. Sheduer Sanders has a sore shoulder. They need healthy bodies to get through practice. Enter Huntley. Huntley spent four seasons with the Browns, from 2020 through 2023. He spent the 2024 offseason with the Browns. He was released in late August, and he returned to Baltimore's practice squad. The Dolphins signed him to the active roster after Tua Tagovailoa suffered his latest concussion. Huntley started five games in 2024. Huntley is much more than a camp arm. He has 25 regular-season appearances, and 14 regular-season starts. It's somewhat surprising he was available. It's not surprising that the Browns have pounced on yet another quarterback. So, yes, Cleveland now has a six-pack of quarterbacks. And their fans may need a Manhattan.

The 2023 comeback player of the year is back. The Browns have listed 40-year-old Joe Flacco as the starting quarterback on the first depth chart of the 2025 season, via Adam Schefter of Flacco went from the couch to the huddle for the Browns in 2023, lifting the team to the postseason — and upending Damar Hamlin's clone for the CPOY award. Last year, the Browns passed on Flacco. Which made sense. As a fan favorite, the chants would have come early and often for the veteran, once Deshaun Watson continued to underwhelm. Will they carry four quarterbacks on the 53-man roster? If not, who will be the odd man out?

'I don't want him to come and see me get a couple reps, and he is cheering like a good dad. Like, nah, you can't be proud of me right now. I got to get to where I'm going, and I know it's a lot I got to do to get there.'
