The store was inaugurated by Nasar Salem Almoteb, deputy mayor of Jeddah Municipality, in the presence of Ihsan Bafakih, executive vice chairman of Al Nahla group, Nasser Huwaiden Thaiban Ali Alketbi, consul general of the UAE in Jeddah, Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, consul general of India in Jeddah, and Yusuffali M.A, chairman of LuLu group, along with other dignitaries.

Spanning over 117000 square feet, the hypermarket features a wide array of retail sections, including a fully stocked supermarket, fresh food zones, LuLu Connect electronics, fashion store, and specialty counters such as BLSH and Eye Express.
A spacious food court adjacent to the fresh food section provides shoppers with a relaxing space to enjoy freshly prepared meals.
To ensure a smooth and convenient shopping experience, the store offers ample dedicated parking, accommodating both local residents and visitors.
To celebrate the opening, exclusive inaugural offers are available across all departments, giving customers exceptional value on high-quality products.
The Al-Baghdadiyah hypermarket marks a key milestone in LuLu group's strategy to serve evolving consumer needs while supporting the Kingdom's long-term vision for sustainable economic and social development.

LuLu boosts KSA presence with new store, solar project
LuLu Retail has further strengthened its presence in Saudi Arabia with the opening of a new hypermarket in Dammam's Al-Orouba District. The expansion is part of the group's continued support for Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. The new store was officially inaugurated by Fayez bin Ali Al-Asmari, head of municipality — West Dammam; Ibrahim Abu Abaah, general-secretary of Albeer Association; and Yusuffali M.A., chairman of LuLu Group. Spanning 81,268 square feet, the new hypermarket offers a wide range of products including groceries, electronics, home furnishings, stationery, and toys. Ample parking and exclusive inaugural promotions ensure a convenient and value-driven shopping experience for all customers. Meanwhile, as part of its commitment to sustainability, LuLu Group also inaugurated its solar power project at the central warehouse facility in the Eastern Province. The 707.7 kWp-rooftop solar plant, developed in partnership with the Kanoo-CleanMax joint venture, was launched by Yusuffali, in the presence of Ahmed Abdulla Ali Mohamed Kanoo, director of Kanoo; Talal Fawzi Ahmed Ali Kanoo, president of Kanoo; and Manoj K. Tripathy, CEO of Kanoo Industrial and Energy. The plant will generate more than 1.19 million kWh of green energy annually, reducing the group's carbon emissions by approximately 535 tonnes per year. This initiative supports the Kingdom's Vision 2030 sustainability goals and reinforces LuLu's commitment to energy saving and environmental responsibility within the retail sector.

Coalition hosts anti-terror finance training in Comoros
The Saudi Arabia-backed Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition has launched a five-day training course in Moroni, Comoros, focused on combating terrorism financing and money laundering. The course aims to equip participants with information on national and international legal frameworks related to these issues, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday. It focuses on skills to analyze financial data and detect suspicious activities, raise public awareness of related risks, and develop effective prevention and coordination mechanisms among regulatory, security, and financial authorities. Participants include representatives from regulatory and judicial bodies, the Ministry of Interior, law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, non-financial businesses, and non-profit organizations. The course reflects the coalition's commitment to enhance international cooperation and develop national civil and military competencies to combat these crimes. It also aims to create a professional training environment that fosters integrated and effective systems to combat financial threats linked to terrorism.
