MasterChef is re-setting the table ahead of Season 15, which has officially been ordered at Fox.
When the competition show returns this summer, host Gordon Ramsey and judge Joe Bastianich will be joined by a new face — well, new-ish. Tiffany Derry, whose myriad TV appearances include Top Chef and Bobby's Triple Threat, is also pulling up to the panel as the show's third judge.

This season, which is being called MasterChef: Dynamic Duos, pairs of home cooks will compete together. The pairs include 'married and dating couples, to mothers and daughters, siblings, best friends and even divorcees,' according to Fox, which promises that all of their relationships will be tested 'in some of the toughest challenges to date.' (And it certainly doesn't help that the Pressure Test is making a comeback this season.)
'I'm beyond excited to join MasterChef as a judge for Season 15, which is unlike any other,' Derry says in a statement. 'For me, cooking has always been about passion, precision, and heart, and I can't wait to bring my perspective to the table alongside Gordon and Joe. The season challenges home cook duos in a whole new way, and it was so fun to see them rise to the occasion. Get ready for some incredible food, tough love, and maybe even a little spice!'
'Season after season, Gordon Ramsay and his team deliver limitless creativity and always raise the competitive bar, keeping MasterChef among the top cooking shows on television, as we saw again with its impressive performance last summer,' Fox president Michael Thorn adds. 'The long-standing, collaborative partnership we enjoy with Gordon, Joe and the Endemol Shine North America team continues to bring compelling, differentiated experiences to our audience — a winning recipe we know will get even better by welcoming Tiffany's fresh, expert perspective to the mix.'

‘It' is Back and Derry-er Than Ever: HBO Series Is the Latest in Stephen King Cinematic Universe

The only other author, besides Stephen King, who can lay claim to having more of their work mined for television and film has got to be God. Show of hands of people who saw 'The Life of Chuck' earlier this year and had the 'Oh, right, that was based on a Stephen King story, of course' moment when the credits rolled. King is extremely prolific, and his myriad of tales tap into something specific about the human psyche — and most especially the innocence of childhood. Think of some of the most enduring King adaptations. 'The Shining.' 'Carrie.' 'Stand By Me.' The perspective of youth, in all its awkwardness, terror, and joy, is a persistent throughline. 'It' is the best example of this aspect of his work. The mammoth 1,000+ page 1986 novel has been memorably translated to film twice — once as the two-part Tim Curry 1990 miniseries and again as the Bill Skarsgård two-part film series (2017 and 2019). Generations of children of felt chills at the sight of rain jackets and red balloons because of these films and their source material. More from IndieWire Jay Leno Says Late Night Hosts 'Alienate' Viewers: 'I Don't Think Anybody Wants to Hear a Lecture' George Lucas Makes His First Ever Comic-Con Appearance So to make a full-fledged prequel television series out of the book makes sense. A (second) teaser for 'It: Welcome to Derry' was released July 27, which you can watch below. Warning: it may spoil whatever love you have for 'The Music Man.' What's most interesting about this trailer comes about 57 seconds in, when a bus is shown for 'Shawshank State Prison,' which is of course the setting of the King novella 'Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption and its subsequent acclaimed film adaptation 'The Shawshank Redemption,' long listed as the No. 1 film ever by IMDb users. This puts the series not only in the same universe as the most recent 'It' films, but potentially in the same world as many other King works. The connections between King's own works have been discussed for decades — at least since the 2001 book 'The Stephen King Universe' was published. Pennywise — the titular 'It' clown — and the town of Derry are mentioned in a variety of King stories and screen translations, including 'Castle Rock,' 'The Dark Tower,' Insomnia,' 'Maximum Overdrive,' and 'Gray Matter.' Carrie White — you know, 'Carrie' — is mentioned directly in the 'It' novel. I mean, even the Overlook Hotel from 'The Shining' is mentioned in his book 'Misery.' Then King wrote his own sequel to that, 'Doctor Sleep,' which also became a movie. Before the Marvel Cinematic Universe made it on to our screens, these subtle connections between Maine's favorite author's impressive catalogue was already on full display. So, right out of the gate, to include this nod and place 'Welcome to Derry' right smack nab in the Stephen King pantheon is indeed a 'welcome' move. At Comic-Con on July 27, fans were also treated to a 10-minute preview of the new show (which has not been made available online as of this writing). According to Entertainment Weekly, the scenes — set in 1962 — follow a boy who sneaks into a movie theater, is caught, and then escapes… only to hitch a ride with a mild-mannered family that turns out to be the shape-shifting 'It.' This intro echos that of its source material, which also opens on a young boy's gruesome death at the hands of Pennywise. The eight-episode 'It: Welcome to Derry' premieres on HBO and HBO Max this October. Watch the first teaser trailer, released in May, below. Jennifer Lopez suffers wardrobe malfunction during concert

Jennifer Lopez accidentally left her skirt on the floor Friday during a concert in Poland. Lopez, who performed in Warsaw on Friday for her 56th birthday, suffered a wardrobe malfunction during the middle of her celebration. The "Waiting for Tonight" singer was in the midst of receiving birthday wishes during her livestreamed concert when her gold sequined skirt fell to the ground. Lopez glittered in gold wearing a metallic bra with a matching fringed skirt for the show. As she walked across the stage, concert-goers caught a glimpse of her matching underwear when her sparkling skirt hit the stage. "Thank you, Warsaw," Lopez screamed to the crowd when suddenly her skirt broke. "Oh! I'm out here in my underwear." A backup dancer rushed to her side and attempted to cover up Lopez, only for the "Let's Get Loud" singer to throw the broken garment into the crowd. "I'm glad that they reinforced that costume, and I'm glad I had underwear on," she said. "I don't usually wear underwear." Representatives for Lopez did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment. JLo's set to perform once again this week in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It's unclear if any additional precautions are being taken to prevent another on-stage incident. The tour, which began earlier this month, is her first tour in six years. Lopez was slated to embark on the "This is Me… Live" tour in the summer of 2024, but canceled the concerts to spend time with her family. Representatives for Live Nation explained JLo would be "taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends." "I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down," Lopez wrote in her newsletter. "Please know that I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time ... " Two months later, Lopez filed for divorce from her fourth husband, Ben Affleck. The Hollywood heavyweights finalized their divorce in January, with both parties waving spousal support, in addition to waiving further discovery proceedings. Affleck and Lopez were married for two years before she filed for divorce on Aug. 20 in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Her petition for the dissolution of their marriage was filed on the two-year anniversary of their Georgia wedding. One month later, the newlyweds hosted a backyard ceremony for friends and family at the $8 million Georgia mansion Affleck purchased when the couple first began dating 20 years ago. Affleck and Lopez first met while working on the set of "Gigli" and were engaged in 2002 with plans to marry in September 2003, but they postponed the wedding and ultimately called off their relationship at the beginning of 2004. "Bennifer" reunited once again before the summer of 2021, and Affleck proposed to Lopez in April while she was taking a bath.
