The viral moment was captured on video by Sports Illustrated's Gilberto Manzano, and it quickly sparked debate on social media: A fan attempted to get Rodgers to sign a ticket from the Packers' Week 5 52-3 victory over the Saints in 2005 — a game in which he backed up then-starting QB Brett Favre. Rodgers began quizzing the fan, asking questions like who the Packers played, what the score was, and if Rodgers participated in the game. The fan failed to correctly answer how many plays Rodgers was involved in — and who caught his lone pass completion. After the fan claimed he couldn't remember, Rodgers clapped back with a savage response: "I remember," Rodgers said. "You could look it up though, and I would believe you — then I would sign your thing. But since I don't believe you, I'm not going to sign it." The fan insisted that he was at the game, but Rodgers laughed off the attempt: "You're an autograph hound," Rodgers said. "You can't fool me." Humans are naturally drawn to activities that provide room for advancement, immediate feedback, and a level of randomization. These factors may help explain why golf can feel so addictive. At the core of addiction lies randomized, sporadic, and highly sought-after mental stimulation. The release of endorphins and the escape from everyday life, coupled with environmental stimulation, are all associated with gambling addiction. Interestingly, those same factors are present in golf. Golf is unique in that every round—and even every shot—can be different. Outcomes vary due to both environmental conditions and the player's swing, making perfection rare. This variability fuels the pursuit of improvement and adds excitement. On top of that, many golf courses are stunningly beautiful and some considered the most scenic places on Earth.
