Swindon clash with title challengers moved for live TV coverage

Swindon Town's home clash against League Two promotion-challengers Bradford City has been moved for live coverage on Sky Sports.
Sky have announced their latest round of televised fixtures in the EFL and that has seen the April match against The Bantams get moved.
The Bradford game will now kick off at 12.30 pm on April 12, with Bradford visiting Wiltshire hoping to continue their title hunt as they are presently two points off Walsall at the summit of League Two.
This is the seventh 3 pm kick-off this season that Swindon have had moved to be shown on Sky Sports or Sky Sports + as part of the new TV deal, including this Saturday's West Country derby against Cheltenham Town.
The game will be between two of League Two's form teams, with City having taken the most points in the last 15 games, and Swindon have amassed the third-most.
Town have come out victorious in their last two home matches against Bradford, 2-0 last season through goals from Charlie Austin and Dawson Devoy and Jonny Williams scored the only goal of the game in 2022/23.
This season's TV deal means that each League Two club will be shown at least 20 times across the various EFL competitions.

Shrewsbury sign Sang from Port Vale

Shrewsbury Town have signed versatile 25-year-old Tom Sang from Port Vale. Sang has signed a two-year deal with the Croud Meadow club, who were relegated to League Two last season after finishing bottom of League One. Advertisement He made 32 appearances for Port Vale as they finished second in League Two to secure promotion last season. The Shrews' director of football Micky Moore said: "Tom is a really good footballer. He started at Manchester United as an attacking midfielder and, like Tom Anderson, Sam Clucas, Sam Stubbs and Will Boyle, he arrives having a promotion on his CV." He added: "He can play and in multiple positions and is also a great person. "His arrival means we now have 18 players in the squad, which I think gives Michael Appleton a great opportunity to get his principles and ideas into the group early." Advertisement Sang is Shrewsbury's fifth signing of the summer after defenders Stubbs and Boyle arrived last week, with centre-back Anderson and midfielder Clucas secured earlier in the window.

Championship stalwart backs Saints for 'positive season' under Still

CHAMPIONSHIP stalwart turned EFL pundit Jobi McAnuff believes Saints are set for a "positive season" under new boss Will Still. Southampton are aiming for an immediate return to the Premier League, following a historic relegation with 12 points last season. Advertisement They have hired Belgian-born English coach Still, who finished eighth in Ligue 1 with RC Lens last season, to achieve that target. Players are slowly returning from their holidays to undergo pre-season medical tests at Solent University, giving Still a first glimpse of his new squad. Sam Edozie and Kuryu Matsuki, who spent last season away from the club on loan, were among those who returned on Friday. READ: Former Saints coach issues 'good luck' message following departure McAnuff, who made over 450 second-tier appearances during his playing career, is excited by the appointment. Advertisement He told Sky Sports: 'It's a really exciting appointment for Southampton and the league. He's a very young manager; he will be the youngest in the Championship. 'But he's already so experienced. The work that he has done over in France has been brilliant. He will give the club new energy. 'He's a manager who will play an attractive style of football. For those clubs who come down, it's about assessing which players are going to be here. 'Who are the two, three or four that want to run for the exit door. He (Still) needs to get that sorted as quickly as he can. Will Still has plenty of decisions to make before the start of the season. (Image: Stuart Martin/Southampton FC) 'He needs to get to know the group that he is working with. I'm seeing a positive season ahead for Southampton.' Advertisement Saints get their Championship campaign underway on Saturday, August 9, when they welcome newly-promoted Wrexham to St Mary's. It will be Southampton's first game against the Welsh club since 1979, when they won 3-0 in a League Cup tie. German youth defender Joshua Quarshie remains Southampton's only signing this summer, arriving on a four-year deal from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.
