India ended the day at 174/2, with KL Rahul (87*) and Shubman Gill (78*) guiding the team out of early trouble after a double strike from Chris Woakes in the very first over. India still trail by 137 runs, with England earlier piling up 669 on the back of Ben Stokes' majestic 141.
Poll
Should Sai Sudharsan continue to bat at No.3 for India?
Yes, he needs more chances
No, it's time to try someone else
On his YouTube channel, Chopra questioned India's options at No.3: 'A question that is coming to the fore repeatedly is what will happen to No. 3. Sai Sudharsan scored runs at No. 3 in the first innings. However, he got out for zero in the second innings. This happened to him previously as well.'
Sudharsan has scored 91 runs at an average of 22.75 in four innings at No.3. Before him, Karun Nair managed just 131 runs at 21.83 in six innings — including four at No.3.

India vs England rain, weather forecast: Can Shubman Gill-KL Rahul pull off stunning draw?
'Karun Nair was given chances, but he couldn't do that well either. Abhimanyu Easwaran hasn't got a go yet. Shreyas Iyer could be a possibility later on. But the No.3 problem is not yet sorted,' Chopra added.
Chopra pointed out the irony that India were expected to struggle at No.4 and the top after Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma stepped away, but the team has managed to fill those voids impressively.
'You haven't felt Virat Kohli's absence at No.4. KL Rahul has filled Rohit's shoes. Gill is already on 78, some of his shots were breathtaking,' Chopra said.
India's batting-order puzzle, however, is far from solved.

Harshika Jain first Indian to sign for Romanian club
Harshika Jain (Image credit: X) At first glance, 22-year-old Harshika Jain's football ing roots don't scream 'history maker'. A girl from a business family in Mumbai's plush Altamount Road, she was just another sports-loving kid who dabbled in everything from basketball to handball to hockey. But by the time she turned 11, football had kicked everything else aside. Two days ago, Harshika became the first Indian footballer to sign with a Romanian firstdivision club, joining Atletic Olimpia Gherla. No Indian has ever featured in Romania's top two leagues before. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Moving from India to play professional football at the European stage, Harshika is following in the footsteps of Bala Devi, Manisha Kalyan and Aditi Chauhan. Her signing isn't just about international firsts; it's also one of persistence, late-night training sessions, lockdown drills, and a young girl breaking into all-boys' teams. Harshika's football journey began at school, where she could always be found on the football ground. And she could be spotted quite easily, too, as she would be the only girl training with boys. It was the same in her locality, where she would always have to play with the other boys as no girls joined it. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Libas Purple Days Sale Libas Undo The move to Romania came through trial at Olimpia Gherla, where she impressed legendary coach Mirel Albon, the man behind Romania's rise in women's football. After 20 days of trial, the club offered her a contract. 'It feels like family here,' Harshika told TOI. 'And that's important to me. I'm close to my family, and the club environment reflects that. They've welcomed me with open arms.' Despite going global, her dream remains rooted in national colours. 'Wearing India's jersey, that's the dream. Always has been.'
