Sheila Majid to celebrate 40 years in showbiz with a Kuala Lumpur mega concert
Aptly titled "Sheila Majid 40 Years in Music", the upcoming concert will be held on 8 November at 8.30pm at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, making it her first-ever solo mega concert.
"Forty years is a long career. I never imagined being blessed with the love and support of fans who have stood by me all this time," said Sheila at the press conference announcing the concert earlier. "This is a gift. My longevity in this industry isn't something I achieved alone. I've been lucky to have so many brilliant people."
She added that the upcoming concert is a tribute to all who have worked with her and alongside her throughout the decades.
Her last big concert was the one-night only "Sheila Majid BIG BAND Live in Kuala Lumpur" in 2023.
Tickets range from RM3,400 (Party Zone) to RM268 (CAT 4) and can be purchased beginning 17 July via ticket2u.

Store issues exciting name change update after petition backed by Oasis frontman
As Greater Manchester is still revelling in the glow of Britpop band Oasis playing five homecoming gigs at Heaton Park, a Prestwich supermarket has today issued an exciting update to mark the occasion. The Aldi story on Bury New Road had temporarily changed its signage to 'Aldeh' last month as a cheeky nod to the Gallagher brothers famous Mancunian accents ahead of the Oasis Live '25 tour. Fan Ella Curtis launched a petition last week to make the change permanent, citing it as a 'cultural landmark in the making'. She dubbed the Burnage band as 'one of the most iconic bands this city has ever produced'. The online page accrued more than 1,300 signatures and had backing from Bury South MP Christian Wakeford. Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher shared a picture of the sign on his social media stories and his 25-year-old niece Anaïs publicly supported the move on TikTok. The global supermarket brand agreed and has issued an update sharing the name change will now be permanent following the outpouring of public support. The Prestwich store is a short walk from Heaton Park and the sign is now even listed on Google Maps as a cultural landmark, complete with five star reviews. Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK said: 'We've been blown away by the public's reaction to 'Aldeh'. What started as a fun, temporary tribute to Oasis and the local accent has turned into something far bigger. 'We've heard shoppers loud and clear, and we're absolutely delighted to keep the sign up for the long haul. It's been brilliant to see the joy it's brought to fans and the Manchester community.' Hundreds show up at tiny record shop after TikTok singer announces performance
So many fans turned up to see a TikTok singer's pop-up show at a Cardiff record shop, that the singer was forced to sing out on the street instead. Sebastian Schub, who was deemed "one to watch" by The Guardian, was due to play a pop-up show at Spillers Records on Tuesday, July 22, just weeks after he supported Noah Kahan at Blackweir Live. Before the show, he posted on TikTok: "Cardiff. I'm finally coming back. Gonna play a little solo pop-up show at Spillers Records this Tuesday 7.15pm. Come and hang entry is free no tickets needed x." The songwriter, who rose to fame on TikTok, was shocked when hundreds of fans turned up - forcing him to move the gig outside. Last month, Sebastian supported Noah Kahan as he kicked off Blackweir Live in Cardiff and later that weekend he graced the the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury after he admitted he'd applied to play at the festival every single year since he was 18. After supporting the 'Stick Season' singer, he responded to a fan on social media who said he needed to come back and do a solo show in the city. Sebastian responded: "Will do hopefully soon x." He then admitted to fan that he sent a screenshot of the comment to his manager and said: "We need to come back."" In an interview after his Blackweir Live show Sebastian said it was the biggest crowd he'd ever played to in his life and revealed the surprising link he has to south Wales. He said: "I actually recorded my EP in Barry. Well the producer I work with, he's just bought a church on Trinity Street in Barry, opposite Stacey's house, and we've just done the whole EP there. "I was there all of March, I'm just about to spend July there for a few weeks to write. Barry's the spot, all the songs are written in Barry." Sebastian has 606,779 monthly listeners on Spotify and his breakthrough single 'Sing Like Madonna' has been streamed over 24 million times on Spotify and used in over 60,000 TikTok videos.
