Sheila Majid to celebrate 40 years in showbiz with a Kuala Lumpur mega concert
Aptly titled "Sheila Majid 40 Years in Music", the upcoming concert will be held on 8 November at 8.30pm at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, making it her first-ever solo mega concert.
"Forty years is a long career. I never imagined being blessed with the love and support of fans who have stood by me all this time," said Sheila at the press conference announcing the concert earlier. "This is a gift. My longevity in this industry isn't something I achieved alone. I've been lucky to have so many brilliant people."
She added that the upcoming concert is a tribute to all who have worked with her and alongside her throughout the decades.
Her last big concert was the one-night only "Sheila Majid BIG BAND Live in Kuala Lumpur" in 2023.
Tickets range from RM3,400 (Party Zone) to RM268 (CAT 4) and can be purchased beginning 17 July via ticket2u.

Jessica Simpson Brings Grunge Y2K-inspired Glam Back
Jessica Simpson reverted back to her Y2K roots with dark glam during a performance on NBC's 'Today' on Wednesday in New York City, her first concert in years. Debuting her new single 'Fade' and singing a medley of her old hits, the 45-year-old fearlessly danced around in smudged black eye shadow and a glossy pink lip, the same makeup combination belonging to her early 2000s persona. The bubblegum blush on her cheekbones matched that of her gloss on stage, adding warmth to the otherwise moody aesthetic, which was comprised of charcoal shimmer dragged across her lids and under eyes, black liquid eyeliner and lash extensions. The aesthetic looked as if she'd added a touch more glitter to her eye makeup, she'd accidentally slept in; her eyebrows just as dark as the shadow below them. She added more sparkle to her appearance, particularly along her collarbone and in the middle of her chest, under her black cross pendant. Instead, her dirty blond tresses were loosely waved, which was the work of her longtime hairstylist Ken Paves, who famously works with Eva Longoria. Paves also styled Simpson's hair later that night, parting her hair on the left side of her head and tucking it behind her ears. Bringing her trendy bombshell mood into the 21st century, Simpson opted for long, almond-shaped talons with unique designs and three-dimensional embellishments. Though nail trends seem to be settling on short, natural nails recently, the long-tip extensions were the desired style for the last few years. Simpson's music hiatus started after the release of her 2010 holiday album, 'Happy Christmas.' Fifteen years later, she's returned to the main stage, dropping her latest work titled 'Nashville Canyon.' Part one out of the two-part installment officially debuted on March 21 with just five tracks. Her single 'Fade' is the first hit to be announced as part of 'Nashville Canyon Part Two.' Store issues exciting name change update after petition backed by Oasis frontman
As Greater Manchester is still revelling in the glow of Britpop band Oasis playing five homecoming gigs at Heaton Park, a Prestwich supermarket has today issued an exciting update to mark the occasion. The Aldi story on Bury New Road had temporarily changed its signage to 'Aldeh' last month as a cheeky nod to the Gallagher brothers famous Mancunian accents ahead of the Oasis Live '25 tour. Fan Ella Curtis launched a petition last week to make the change permanent, citing it as a 'cultural landmark in the making'. She dubbed the Burnage band as 'one of the most iconic bands this city has ever produced'. The online page accrued more than 1,300 signatures and had backing from Bury South MP Christian Wakeford. Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher shared a picture of the sign on his social media stories and his 25-year-old niece Anaïs publicly supported the move on TikTok. Get the latest news delivered straight to your inbox by signing up to the Bury Times morning newsletter as well as our breaking news alerts. Ella says that the 'Aldeh' sign reflects the area's music heritage in a way that feels authentic, local and proud', adding that it has become a 'symbol and reminder of how we, as Mancunians all came together to celebrate of the biggest reunion concerts from one of the world's biggest bands happening right on our doorstep." The global supermarket brand agreed and has issued an update sharing the name change will now be permanent following the outpouring of public support. The Prestwich store is a short walk from Heaton Park and the sign is now even listed on Google Maps as a cultural landmark, complete with five star reviews. Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK said: 'We've been blown away by the public's reaction to 'Aldeh'. What started as a fun, temporary tribute to Oasis and the local accent has turned into something far bigger. 'We've heard shoppers loud and clear, and we're absolutely delighted to keep the sign up for the long haul. It's been brilliant to see the joy it's brought to fans and the Manchester community.' 'The response has been supersonic, with Oasis fans and proud Mancunians visiting the store to see it for themselves. 'Last week, a petition was launched by a local resident calling for us to keep the sign. So naturally, we took to social media to see what our shoppers thought, turns out… people are mad for it and want the sign to stay. 'I'm pleased to announce that we'll be keeping the Aldeh sign as a tribute to Manchester! 'As you were.'
