QIB ties up with Umrah agencies to support Hajj pilgrims in Qatar

Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), Qatar's leading digital bank, announced its collaboration with a number of Hajj and Umrah agencies in Qatar to distribute copies of a Hajj guidelines book to pilgrims during this year's Hajj season, as part of its social responsibility. The bank has also offered copies of this book to its employees preparing for Hajj.
The Hajj book reviewed by the committee for the censorship of religious books at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, presents in a useful and accessible manner, everything those wishing to perform the Hajj rituals need. It includes explanations and illustrative images to familiarise the Hajj pilgrims with the rituals before they embark on their journey.
Commenting on the initiative, Assistant General Manager, Head of Corporate Communications & Quality Assurance at QIB Mashaal Abdulaziz Al Derham said, 'We are pleased to contribute to supporting pilgrims traveling from Qatar to perform Hajj, one of the most important rituals in a Muslim's life, by providing them with practical tools that help them prepare optimally. This initiative represents our real commitment to active community engagement and reinforces our values of supporting pilgrims and enabling them to perform the rituals with ease and peace of mind. We wish everyone an accepted Hajj and forgiven sins.'
As part of its social responsibility, QIB continues to support programmes that contribute to adding value to the community, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030, with a focus on initiatives that promote inclusion, awareness, and social well-being.

Organised in collaboration with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), this major exhibition explores the cultural significance of food across the Islamic world and Muslim traditions, featuring historical and contemporary objects from the collections of MIA, Qatar National Library, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, Lusail Museum, and Qatar Museums' General Collections. From June to December 2025, MIA invites visitors of all ages to engage in a rich calendar of public programming, including curator-led tours, Planet Kids Club, hands-on workshops, escape rooms, and more—all exploring the intersections of food, faith, and culture. These programmes aim to deepen understanding of the central role of dining in Islamic traditions, while creating opportunities for dialogue and shared experiences. 'A Seat at the Table: Food & Feasting in the Islamic World' is a legacy project of the Qatar-USA 2021 Year of Culture, a platform for building lasting cultural, social, and economic connections between Qatar and its partner countries. Curator - led Tours Discover the art, history, and culture of dining in the Islamic world through a curator-led and guided tours of A Seat at the Table: Food & Feasting in the Islamic World. QIB, Mastercard launch summer campaign with 10 mn Absher points

ANI Doha Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), Qatar's leading digital bank, and Mastercard have launched a Summer Spend Campaign offering QIB Mastercard Credit and Debit Cardholders the chance to win a share of 10 million Absher rewards points when using their cards internationally over the summer. During the 3-month campaign, ending on October 14, 2025, 60 winners will receive 100,000 Absher reward points each, while 4 grand prize winners will receive 1 million Absher points each at the end of the campaign. A total of 64 winners will be selected randomly in monthly draws, in the presence of official representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and QIB. To qualify for the monthly draws, cardholders must spend a total of QR1,000 internationally in a month during the campaign period using a QIB Mastercard Credit or Debit Card and doubling this amount doubles customers' chances to win. For the grand prize draw, customers must spend a total of QR15,000 internationally during the campaign period to receive one entry, with an additional entry earned for each additional QR15,000 spent. The campaign rewards cardholders for their international spending on QIB Mastercard debit and credit cards throughout the summer travel season, with flexible redemption options available through the Absher rewards programme. QIB's Absher rewards programme allows customers to earn points across various banking activities, notably by using their debit and credit cards. Customers can then redeem Absher points for flight tickets, hotel stays, online shopping, and e-vouchers at various partners including supermarkets, cinemas, gift shops as well as food and transport apps. Absher points can also be used to settle bills with Ooredoo, Vodafone and Kahramaa, while they can also be converted to airline loyalty programs including Qatar Airways Avios. Qatar Tourism launches ‘The Art of Front Office Hospitality' training programme

Doha Qatar Tourism's Service Excellence Academy has launched 'The Art of Front Office Hospitality', with the aim of providing training to 400 frontline hotel staff from properties rated four stars and below. In a press release issued on Monday, Qatar Tourism said that the two-day training course was designed to address the specific needs of this segment and that it focuses on guest relations, cultural sensitivity, and operational efficiency. It added that the first batch of 84 participants has successfully completed the program and received certification. This initiative forms part of Qatar Tourism's broader Service Excellence strategy and contributes to the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 by fostering professional development and raising service standards across the آ tourism sector.
