Tesco's £7 perfumes 'smell like' luxury Le Labo, Chanel and Tom Ford scents
Tesco has a collection of perfumes which are drawing comparisons to luxury designer scents. Known for its quality clothing and accessories, the supermarket giant is now turning heads in the world of fragrances.
TikTok user Debbie, known as @beautyglowgirl to her 177k followers, highlighted several Tesco fragrances that mimic the essence of high-end brands. Text over the clip read: "£7 perfumes in Tesco that smell like luxury fragrances?!?!"
In her video caption, Debbie wrote: "I thought I'd post again about these affordable Tesco perfumes because they are rumoured to be affordable alternatives for the most popular luxury perfumes and they're all less than £10. What do you think? Will you be trying them out?"
She proceeded to detail the Tesco perfumes alongside their pricier equivalents and their costs. Debbie pointed out some notable bargains: "First up we have Santal which, you've guessed it is supposed to smell like Le Labo's Santal 33 which is £234.
"Flowerchain is a rumoured Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb copy which is £135. Rouge is supposed to smell like Maison Francis Kurkdjian's Baccarat Rouge 540 which costs a whopping £234.
"Passion is supposed to be like Carolina Herrera's Good Girl which retails for £126. Wild is more of a masculine fragrance and is supposed to smell like Dior's Sauvage which is usually £118."Miss Paris is supposed to be similar to CHANEL'S COCO MADEMOISELLE for £125. Cerise is supposed to smell like Tom Ford's Lost Cherry which costs an eye watering £390 for 100ml."Gold is supposed to be similar to Paco Rabanne's Lady Million which retails for £178. And finally Golden Hour and Island Breeze are supposed to be similar to Sol de Janeiro's Cherirosa '62 and Cheirosa '76 which are both £38."
The post racked up 242.8k views, thousands of likes and a number of comments from excited shoppers. Among them, one person said: "I got the Tom Ford [alternative] it lasts long and for 8 pound not too shabby."
A second wrote: "Jesus this was so useful, thank you," while a third added: "I wear the cherry and almond as my daily work scent, its lush." Another keen shopper said: "I will try them out."
By snapping up the Tesco alternatives, shoppers could save themselves hundreds of pounds. For Le Labo fans, the supermarket could save you around £230, while Tom Ford lovers could save roughly £382. Fans of Baccarat Rouge 540 could save themselves around £237 by opting for Tesco's £8 fragrance.
