The film made just ₹40 lakh on its opening day according to initial estimates. 'Tanvi The Great' had a Hindi occupancy rate of 14.41% on Friday. Breaking it down, the morning shows had a decent start with 13.29%, but the afternoon shows saw a dip and recorded only 7.93% occupancy.
Things got a little better as the day progressed; the evening shows saw 11.93% occupancy, while the night shows recorded 24.47%.
'Tanvi The Great' - About the movie
Tanvi The Great tells the story of Tanvi Raina (played by Shubhangi), who resides with her mother Vidya (portrayed by Pallavi) and her grandfather, Colonel Pratap Raina (Anupam). Motivated by her late father, Samar Raina's (Karan) career in the army, she embarks on a journey to continue his legacy.
The movie received standing ovations at special previews held at the National Defence Academy and the Southern Command in Pune. Further, it has received international acclaim during its screenings at festivals in Cannes, New York, Houston, and London.
