, Bajwa reflects on the importance of relevance and the challenge of typecasting in the industry.
'Typecasting is one of the most painful things that exists in our industry,' he says. 'While there are filmmakers who see you as a talent and try to mould you into different characters, most others just look at your last film and offer similar kinds of roles.'
On the subject of staying relevant, Bajwa emphasises that it is a personal choice. 'Some stay relevant just to be seen, to be around, and to remind people that they are still part of the business.
Others strive to remain relevant through their work by evolving as actors and through the kind of films they choose to do,' he explains. 'One cannot pinpoint a single way to stay relevant. But yes, being visible to the audience and filmmakers is important so they think of you when casting.
'
He also acknowledges the role of social media in the current scenario. 'Nowadays, social media has made it easier to stay relevant, but it's definitely not a measure of talent.'

When it comes to experimenting with roles and appearances, Bajwa remains unfazed. 'People need to understand that an actor can take on any look or role if required — that's why he is called an actor. I've done many varied roles with different looks and personalities, and whatever comes my way, I do it with utmost conviction.'

'What are you...'; Ajay Devgn reveals why Ravi Kishan was cast instead of Sanjay Dutt in 'Son of Sardaar 2'?

Why is Sanjay Dutt not in Ajay Devgn's film 'Son of Sardar 2'? Ravi Kishan himself answered this question in 'The Great Indian Kapil Show'. Ravi Kishan said that one day he got a call from Ajay Devgn, and he asked, 'Ravi, what are you doing?' I said, 'Don't tell me anything?' So he said, 'Yaar Sanju baba was going to come in Son of Sardar, but for some reason his visa got rejected. Will you do it?' I became very happy. Here's what you should know. When Ravi Kishan praised Ajay Devgn Ravi Kishan further said, 'Sanjay Dutt is a cult man and he took my place in his shoes, I fit in his shoes and that is a big thing in itself.' After this, Ravi Kishan praised Ajay Devgn wholeheartedly. He said that while in the climax of films most of the focus is on the hero, Ajay gave importance to his character in the climax. Ravi Kishan's role in 'Son of Sardar 2' Kapil asked Ajay Devgn, 'Sanjay Dutt is Punjabi and Ravi Bhaiya is from UP. How did this come to your mind?' To this Ajay Devgn said, 'We have kept his character accordingly. His father has three wives – one in Punjab, one in Bihar and one in London. So Ravi's character is from Bihar.' When will 'Son of Sardar 2' be released? 'Son of Sardar 2' is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, and the film is going to hit the theatres on August 1. The star cast of the film includes names like Ajay Devgn, Mrinal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Chunky Pandey, Sanjay Mishra. According to reports, the budget of the film is around Rs 150 crore. Earlier the film was going to release on July 25, but due to the great opening of 'Saiyaara', its release date has been extended for a week.
