Pahang Sports Council urges public caution over fake Sukma apparel sold on social media
In a statement, MSP clarified that it has never appointed any individual or company to sell official SUKMA Pahang apparel via any social media platform, including Facebook.
'We have detected several Facebook posts claiming to sell SUKMA apparel in the name of the Pahang Sports Council,' the statement said.
MSP also advised the public to remain cautious and not be deceived by dubious offers, and to report any relevant information to MSP via its official phone number or email to avoid being scammed.
'All matters related to official SUKMA apparel will only be announced through MSP's official channels, including its website and verified social media accounts,' the council said. — Bernama

MMEA boosts fleet to combat sea drug smuggling in Malaysia
ALOR SETAR: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) is intensifying efforts to curb drug smuggling through sea routes, with 80 per cent of illegal substances entering the country via maritime channels. MMEA Director-General Admiral Datuk Mohd Rosli Abdullah confirmed the agency is enhancing surveillance and deploying new assets to secure national waters. 'MMEA will not compromise on any attempt to smuggle drugs into the country via sea. Every inch of our maritime borders is our responsibility,' he said. The agency has recorded 117 drug-related seizures from 2020 to June 2025, valued at nearly RM200 million. To strengthen enforcement, MMEA has stationed the KM Tun Fatimah patrol vessel in the South China Sea and deployed new-generation patrol boats in high-risk zones. Additional assets, including the Ex-USCG Cutter Steadfast patrol ship, an AW189 helicopter, and a Multi-Purpose Mission Ship from Turkiye, will be operational by 2027. Mohd Rosli emphasised collaboration with other agencies, stating, 'These seizures save thousands from addiction. We will continue intelligence-driven operations.' Missing driver found safe after car crash near Kulim
KULIM: A driver who went missing after his car skidded and caught fire near Batu Puteh-Labu Besar road has been found safe. The 28-year-old victim, Mohd Solehin Abd Latif, was discovered walking along the roadside early this morning. Kulim police chief Supt Zulkifli Azizan said the man was spotted by a passerby at 8 am. 'A 39-year-old man reported seeing someone in underwear walking towards Labu Besar. The SAR team confirmed it was the missing victim,' he told Bernama. The driver was found 1 km from the crash site with only minor scratches. He was taken to Sungai Kob police station before being reunited with his family. The search ended at 10 am. Earlier reports stated the victim's Perodua Kancil was found burnt in a ditch at 5.30 am yesterday. His wallet, ID, and phone were recovered at the scene. Police Studying CCTV Footage Of Dr Mahathir's Grandchild's Home Robbery
KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 (Bernama) -- Police are studying closed circuit television (CCTV) footage to track the suspects involved in the robbery of former prime minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's grandchild's residence in Bukit Ledang here on Wednesday, which resulted in losses of RM1.8 million. Acting Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan said they were investigating the case when contacted by Bernama. 'We are looking into it and as of yesterday, we have yet to be able to identify (the suspect). We are also studying CCTV footage of the victim's residence,' he said briefly. He had confirmed yesterday to the media that a residence belonging to the former prime minister's grandchild had been broken into and jewellery worth RM1.8 million had been stolen. The break-in was discovered by a domestic helper at 3 pm after they discovered the padlock on the back gate had been cut and thieves had gotten into the residence. Mohamed Usuf said the police would use forensic methods to gather new leads for the case, and explained that Mahathir's grandchildren were staying at the house owned by Mizan Mahathir but only the domestic workers were in during the break-in. 'We found the house had been broken into, there were evidence of that and we are investigating. 'Most of what was taken were old jewellery and maybe personal effects. We are still assessing the total and types of items,' he said. He urged the public not to speculate and to allow the police to complete the investigation.
