Jaguars' Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker primed to make history in 2025
It's been a while since a recent Jacksonville Jaguars player has broken any franchise records. The last notable one was Maurice Jones-Drew, who broke Fred Taylor's rushing touchdown mark in 2013.
Aside from that, many of the Jacksonville Jaguars' franchise records have been long held by the likes of Mark Brunell, Jimmy Smith, and Rashean Mathis. In 2025, Josh Hines-Allen will have the opportunity to pass Tony Brackens as the Jaguars' all-time sack leader.

Tony Brackens' 55 career sacks have remained unbroken since his release and retirement in 2004. Since then, no one has really even come close… until now. Josh Hines-Allen, after 25.5 sacks the last two seasons, is on the doorstep of passing Brackens. He needs just two to tie.

While Hines-Allen figures to break the Jaguars' all-time sack record at just 28 years old, Travon Walker is quickly climbing his way up the sack ranks as well. Walker, just 24 years old, is already ninth in sacks with 24 to his name.
If Walker is able to net himself a third consecutive double-digit sack season, he'll comfortably be top five in franchise history. He would also become the first player in franchise history to post three double-digit sack seasons and to do it consecutively, no less.

That is incredible for someone who doesn't even turn 25 years old until December. To add to Walker's record ascent, he now needs just 13.5 sacks to tie Yannick Nagkoue for the third most in franchise history. That isn't out of the realm of possibility in 2025, especially with his marked improvement.

The Jaguars' pass-rush certainly was lackluster last season to say the least, however, the duo of Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker remains one of the league's best tandems. They were the only pairing to both be featured inside the NFL's Top-15 pressures list.
It's almost a given that Hines-Allen will pass Brackens' record this coming season. The question is how far he will separate himself from the pack and how closely Walker will tail him. It isn't crazy to think these two could very well be first and second all-time in just a few more years.

Former Spartan guard signs deal with Melbourne United of the Australian NBL

Canada women top Spain to advance to 3x3 hoops World Cup semifinal
ULAANBAATAR - Canada's women are off to the semifinals of the FIBA 3x3 World Cup. Canada defeated Spain 11-10 on Saturday to advance. Canada will next face the Netherlands on Sunday, with the third-place game and final going on Monday. Saicha Grant-Allen led the way for Canada with six points and five rebounds. Paige Crozon added three points and five rebounds. Spain was led by Vega Gimeno's five points and three rebounds. Canada defeated Japan 18-6 in a play-in game on Friday to make it into Saturday's quarterfinal. The Canadians had lost their last two group stage games before making a run into the semifinal. Jacksonville Jaguars 3 best moves of the 2025 NFL offseason
In an offseason full of change for the Jacksonville Jaguars, which of the many moves made between free agency and the NFL draft would you consider their best? Rather than focusing solely on player acquisitions that were made this offseason--we can do that at a later time--I'm going to take a more holistic approach to answering this question. Hiring James Gladstone as the GM At the end of the day, it is the players who make the plays and win the games on Sundays, but getting to that point often starts with strong leadership. Coming from a successful organization in the LA Rams, Gladstone brings unique experiences, systems, and thought processes to Jacksonville that can help reshape the roster and organization fairly quickly. Advertisement But even more important than that is Gladstone has a very clear vision for where he wants this organization to go and the path to getting there. Ultimately, we won't know if the Jaguars are on the right track until games are played on Sundays and we have a large enough sample size to evaluate, but with this new leadership structure, it certainly feels like Jacksonville is heading the right direction and doing so quickly. Hiring head coach Liam Coen As many players have described, there is a tangible energy in the Jaguars' facility this offseason, and a lot of that starts with Liam Coen and the culture he is establishing. Then, from a football sense, Coen is bringing a Sean McVay-esque offense to the Jaguars. This is a system that's rooted in multiplicity, meaning that it throws a variety of different looks at opposing defenses to keep them off balance and guessing. Around the NFL in recent years, we've seen numerous quarterbacks and offenses have success in similar style systems. Again, the players make the plays, but this scheme can help shoulder some of that playmaking burden. Building around Trevor Lawrence This has been a clear priority for the Jaguars this offseason--making sure they are maximizing the window that they have with Lawrence. It started by hiring Coen and bringing in that offensive scheme of his. But in addition to that, Gladstone reshaped the offensive line by making six additions up front, which is where consistent success begins for any offense, and he also added a lot more speed by acquiring Dyami Brown, Travis Hunter, and Bhayshul Tuten. Advertisement With more balance around Lawrence, he's now in a better position not to have to do it all and be Superman on every play. Lawrence's play will determine the ceiling for this Jaguars team, so making sure that he's in the best position possible to succeed needs to be and has been a major priority for the new-look Jaguars.
