"Soulless, mindless entities": Trump shares QAnon conspiracy theory suggesting Biden is a clone
Posting to Truth Social late Saturday night, Donald Trump boosted a claim that former President Joe Biden was a clone.
"There is no #JoeBiden - executed in 2020," the reshared post reads. "#Biden clones, doubles & robotic engineered soulless mindless entities are what you see. #Democrats don't know the difference."
The claim that body doubles or clones have replaced some celebrities for nebulous and nefarious reasons holds some purchase among members of the far-right. And to give some credit to Trump, it's entirely possible that he skimmed the text and thought it aligned with his frequent claims that Biden was puppeteered throughout his second term.
The president has been amplifying right-wing internet conspiracies for years. He gave subtle nods to QAnon, the online cult that believes Trump will usher in a great "storm" that will cleanse sex traffickers and child abusers from positions of power in the United States, while campaigning for a second term. His campaign elevated unfounded beliefs about gang and cartel activity in the country and raised the profile of an entirely fabricated claim that Haitian immigrants in Ohio were eating local pets. In the latter case, Trump's insistence that recently resettled Haitian immigrants were "eating the cats" and "eating the dogs" led to bomb threats in the city of Springfield.
Still, delving into talks of cloning grown humans — something that is not scientifically possible in the present — is a big step into the murk of the GOP's tin-foil fringe.

But now, according to the warrant, witnesses have told police officers that Brown was the shooter, and that two shell casings were found at the scene. One man involved in the conflict alleged that Brown "began to run toward him with a firearm" and shot at him twice. For Brown, 36, this is the latest in a disturbing string of incidents tying to legal and behavioral issues since the controversial end to his NFL career where he marched off the field as a member of the Tampa Bay Bucs and was released. A 34-year-old Wilmington man hit Delaware Lottery's PLAY 5 game twice in four days, winning more than $300,000, according to the Delaware Lottery. The man, who has chosen to remain anonymous, claimed two $50,000 tickets and two $10,000 tickets from the June 9 PLAY 5 day drawing after matching all five winning numbers: 1-0-0-0-0. He returned to Delaware Lottery headquarters on June 16 to claim another stunning prize – $200,000 from the June 13 day drawing where he had four tickets each worth $50,000. The winning numbers on the second victory were 5-0-1-5-9. The tickets were purchased at the New Castle Shell in New Castle. The Wilmington man said he's played the lottery for five years and spends about $50 on tickets each time. He picks his numbers. For the June 9 win, he based his number selection on his old phone number. For the second victory, the number was inspired by his grandfather, who often played 5-0-1-5 in PLAY 4. Edgewater woman charged with animal cruelty after 7 dead animals found in home
A woman believed to have abandoned her pets for almost a year was arrested June 27 on charges of aggravated animal cruelty after Edgewater Police found seven dead animals at her home. According to police, Danielle McGinnis, 57, vacated her property on Pine Tree Drive for nearly one year, during which time a "long-standing civil dispute" impeded access to the house. But stakeholders, including McGinnis and six others, were just allowed access back into the home when officers received a call about possible animal cruelty, according to a press release. When officers arrived at the property, they discovered "deplorable living conditions, including widespread animal feces and severe disrepair, rendering the property uninhabitable," the release stated. Animal cruelty laws: DeSantis signs Dexter's Law, championed by local animal rights activists In addition, officers found the remains of two dogs, two cats and three birds all in "advanced stages of decomposition." Police said there were "no signs of food or water available for the animals," which led investigators to believe the pets died from "prolonged starvation and dehydration." Police sent an alert on social media later that night asking the public to help locate McGinnis. She was later found in Daytona Beach, where police interviewed her. "During the interview, (McGinnis) admitted to leaving the animals inside the home when she moved out a year ago," the press release said. "She claimed to have asked a 'friend' to look after the animals, but could not provide a name or contact information." McGinnis also admitted to not following up on the animals' well-being, police said. Edgewater Animal Control services removed the animals' remains from the house and handled the "appropriate final disposition," police said. McGinnis is charged with seven counts of aggravated animal cruelty resulting in death, a felony charge. She is being held at the Volusia County Branch Jail on $70,000 bond.
