The round is led by BlackFin Capital Partners, a leading European private equity firm focused exclusively on financial services buyouts and fintechs. Existing investors PayPal Ventures and Seaya Ventures are re-investing after leading the company's Series B financing last year. The rapid success of its international business and high demand from the market prompted the Aufinity Group to implement this financing round earlier than planned. The fintech will use the capital to further drive its European expansion and strategic partnerships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
'With this round, we are focusing on accelerating our growth across Europe even further. Through new strategic partnerships with leading OEMs and by continuing our focus on dealerships, we are preparing to redefine the industry standard for the whole of Europe,' explains Lasse Diener, Co-Founder and CEO of the Aufinity Group. 'Our core business in Germany is already solidly positioned. However, the high level of interest from the international market has prompted us to push ahead with our expansion into more countries earlier than planned, which is a great market confirmation for our business and platform.'
With the platform Aufinity, the fintech is the market leader for payment management in the automotive sector. It offers car dealers and OEMs a digital, white-label-capable appearance and optimized payment management across the entire automotive market - from vehicle sales to after-sales. Optimized payment processes ensure faster incoming payments, higher liquidity, more efficiency and a better customer experience.
'We have been closely monitoring the company for a couple of years already and have been impressed by the execution skills of the team. The success of their recent expansion abroad convinced us to invest in the company to support the European rollout and further enrich the payment orchestration capabilities of Aufinity', says Maxime Mandin, Managing Director at BlackFin Capital Partners.
PayPal Ventures and Seaya Ventures already led the Series B financing of the Aufinity Group in 2024. With this investment, the company started its expansion in Italy and Spain in the same year.
'Since our initial investment, the team has executed exceptionally—scaling their annualized platform volume and expanding successfully into after-sales, enterprise, and new geographies like Iberia and Italy. Doubling down on our support was a natural next step,' said Alexandros Bottenbruch, Investor with PayPal Ventures.
Aris Xenofontos, Partner at Seaya, adds: 'We are excited to continue supporting Lasse, Ulrich, Markus and the team in next phase of the growth of the business. Since our investment, we have been impressed with the team's ability to capture successfully the strong demand in international markets, such as Spain and Italy.

Daniel Levy gives honest verdict on Tottenham backlash and lack of trophies

Daniel Levy has said he will be fully appreciated once he has stepped away from being Spurs chairman as he hits back at suggestions he has meddled with football affairs Daniel Levy believes his work will not be fully appreciated until he steps away from Spurs. The chairman says protests from fans calling for him to move on leave him feeling bruised and while he has 'suffered' like a supporter when results have been poor. ‌ But he is convinced that delayed gratification will come when he is no longer in the firing line having overseen an era of seismic financial growth. ‌ Levy has been in charge of Spurs since 2001 but their off-field successes, headlined by the opening of their £1bn stadium in 2019, have not measured up with underperformance on the pitch. ‌ May's Europa League win was the club's first trophy since 2008 – and still preceded the 13th permanent managerial charge of Levy's reign as Ange Postecoglou paid the price for a dismal domestic campaign. "I think it's one of those situations - when I'm not here I'm sure I'll get the credit,' Levy told The Overlap. "When you come here and look at this wonderful building (the stadium) and the fact that other clubs are now trying to copy what we're doing, that should be a sign that maybe we did do something bold and something right. "The construction of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is my greatest achievement. This stadium is a symbol of Tottenham Hotspur on the global map." Asked about the backlash he has experienced from supporters who believe change is necessary, Levy replied: 'Of course it hurts but their pain is also my pain. I want to win and when we're not playing well, and we're not winning, believe me, I suffer as well. It ruins the whole weekend. It's horrible – you're in this to win and when you don't win, it's no fun.' Levy said a 'collective' decision was made to part ways with Postecoglou in June, despite the Australian bringing badly-needed silverware to north London. ‌ And the chairman has made it clear that now the team has tasted success new boss Thomas Frank must use his predecessor's triumph as 'a springboard' for more. "Nothing has changed in terms of our ambition, that has always been the case, but having won the Europa League you get a taste of it,' he added. "But it's not enough. We know we need to use that as a springboard to keep winning. "I can't really answer (why), because I'm not the one that picks the team, motivates the team. We couldn't lose sight of the fact that we finished 17th in the league. We lost 22 Premier League games, and it's impossible for Tottenham to be in that position, and so we had to take the emotion out of it. "We're there to win and yes, we won a European trophy, and it was fantastic. But we also need to win on all fronts - and the Premier League says it all." Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy fears 'abuse' of multi-club ownership

The Eagles, whose FA Cup victory earned their place in the Europa League, were instead demoted to the Conference League by European football's governing body UEFA on July 11 after it determined that as of March 1, American businessman John Textor had control or influence at Palace and French club Lyon. UEFA rules state that one or more clubs deemed to have common ownership cannot play in the same competition, with Lyon edging out Palace for the sole Europa League place because of their comparatively higher league finish last season.

Ademola Lookman releases furious transfer statement after 'broken promises'

Atalanta star Ademola Lookman has been the subject of two bids from Serie A rivals Inter Milan but he's yet to get his move, prompting him to submit a transfer request Former Premier League star Ademola Lookman has handed in a transfer request at Atalanta in an effort to force a move to Inter Milan. Lookman, 27, wants to join the Serie A giants and says that he reached an agreement with Atalanta's board which would allow him to leave if they received a 'fair' offer. ‌ But the ex-Everton, Fulham and Leicester forward claims that Atalanta have 'broken promises' to him, having already sold one star player, Mateo Retegui, this summer. That's prompted Lookman to hand in a 'formal transfer request', a decision which he confirmed in a lengthy statement on social media. ‌ "There have been numerous clubs approach Atalanta in the past and I have previously always stayed loyal," part of his post read. "However, myself and the ownership of the club have been in agreement that now is the right time and the club were clear with me that if a fair offer came in they would allow me to move. ‌ "Despite now receiving an offer in alignment to what I believe had been discussed sadly the club are blocking the opportunity for reasons I do not understand. "As a result and after many months of broken promises and what I feel has been poor treatment towards me as both a human being and as a professional footballer, sadly I feel I have no choice but to speak out for what I believe is right and I feel that enough is enough. I can confirm I have now handed in a formal transfer request." Lookman joined Atalanta from German side RB Leipzig in 2022 for £9.4million. The England-born Nigeria international has scored 52 goals in 117 games for La Dea, including a first career hat-trick during their Europa League final win against Bayer Leverkusen in 2024. So far, Inter have submitted two bids for Lookman, neither of which have met Atalanta's reported £43.5m valuation. Their CEO, Luca Percassi, confirmed Inter's first offer last week but explained how Retegui's £56m departure to Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah has changed their financial situation. "Lookman has been expressing his desire to leave for some time," Percassi said. "It's no secret. In all our discussions, he was a player who should have left this summer, following our club's philosophy of one sale per year. Should a Premier League club bid for Ademola Lookman? Have your say in the comments section. ‌ "But the transfer market always brings unexpected things, you know well what happened with Mateo Retegui. For Lookman, despite so much interest, there had never been anything concrete until yesterday when the first official proposal arrived. Inter is a very friendly company, I saw [president Beppe] Marotta yesterday. "We have a great friendship and professional relationship. In these days, we will evaluate with great serenity the offer we have received, and then give an answer. I can only say that the timing and exit values of Atalanta players are decided only by the club."
