The advanced facility at IIT-I in
digital healthcare
to be set up under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) will work to bridge the gap between urban and rural healthcare services, leveraging
telemedicine
, electronic health records (EHRs), artificial intelligence-driven diagnostics and personalised medicine and care.
The institute received a nod from the department of science and technology and governing body of NMICPS led by Kris Gopalakrishnan, founder of Infosys, to upgrade IIT-I's technology innovation hub Drishti CPS Foundation into a TTRP with an outlay of Rs 250 crore for next three years in tranches.
Of the total proposed amount Rs 52 crore has been received by the foundation.
"The new TTRP comes as a great validation of the initiatives on digital healthcare that has been incubated in IIT-I. We look forward to extending the mandate of IIT-I Drishti CPS Foundation into the digital healthcare through this new TTRP," said IIT-I director professor Suhas S Joshi.
IIT-Indore established the Drishti CPS Foundation in 2020, which has so far supported over 150 technology projects and startups with funds and mentoring.
Drishti CPS Foundation CEO Aditya Vyas said, "The research park will cater to the growing need of the nation in creating a robust digital health infrastructure. Drishti CPS is developing a flagship unified human digital twin platform — CharakDT. The novel, systematic and scalable architecture of CharakDT allows a unique way of creating individual health models (twins) for each patient by aggregating contextual data from multifarious sources and implementing large-scale AI models across dimensions of organ physics, demography, diagnostic tools, and environment."
The TTRP will also give a huge boost to translational research activities in other domain of research at IIT-I, Vyas said.

So far, ANSR has established 135 GCCs across the globe with $2 billion in investments. Lalit Ahuja, the CEO of ANSR, said that Visakhapatnam is poised to become a destination for leading global enterprises. Describing Visakhapatnam as a unique blend of Bengaluru and Goa, Lokesh said that the aim of the govt is not just to transform the city into a business-friendly city but also a magnet for top talent. With Google setting up its first and largest data centre outside the US, Visakhapatnam is set to become India's largest data city with enhanced cloud-computing infrastructure, AI labs, analytics hubs, and computing clusters, said Lokesh. He observed that the state govt has already allotted land at highly subsidised prices to companies like TCS and Cognizant, and the state govt is targeting the top 100 IT companies to set up shop in Visakhapatnam. Lokesh, who is also the minister for human resources development (HRD), explained how the state govt is bringing reforms into the education sector by aligning curricula to generate capable human resources. Noida proposes 3 names for its e-bus service
Noida: Noida Authority has proposed three names for its fleet of 500 e-buses that are to be rolled out across Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway region this year. Officials said the three shortlisted names—NGY Urban Mobility Service, GBN Easy Ride Service and GBN Green Transport—have been submitted to the UP govt for vetting, but the branding would reflect a larger vision to reshape urban mobility in the region. The electric bus project gained momentum last month after two private operators were finalised for procuring buses, managing operations and maintaining depot infrastructure. Travel Time Mobility India Pvt Ltd will run 250 nine-metre buses at Rs 55 per km, while Delbus Mobility Pvt Ltd will operate 250 12-metre buses at Rs 68 per km. UP has proposed a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), comprising officials from Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna authorities, including finance and traffic cell members, to manage the service. Once registered, the SPV will oversee staffing and service rollout for a 12-year term. The initiative is expected to significantly strengthen Noida's public transport ecosystem, providing reliable, eco-friendly alternatives to private vehicles. Routes have been designed to improve last-mile connectivity, reduce congestion, and serve key hubs including the upcoming Noida International Airport. While the project's total cost stands at Rs 675 crore, fare and ad revenue is expected to cover only a fraction of operational expenses. ICDS plans to distribute nutri kit from Aug
Jaipur: Integrated Child Development Services department is planning to start distribution of Nutri Kits to pregnant women at Anganwadi centres by next month. Officials said that items included in kit are prepared and procurement process is underway. The Nutri Kit will include one kilogram of desi ghee, 500 grams each of dates, jaggery, roasted chickpeas, roasted peanuts, and 100 grams of fox nuts or any other dry fruit. Vasudev Malawat, Director ICDS said "Items provided in Nutri Kits were suggested by nutrition experts by verifying exact measurements and quality assurances before the kit is prepared for distribution. Target for distribution is set for next month." This kit will be given to a woman twice during her pregnancy. Around 2.35 lakh women will benefit from this scheme at a cost around Rs 25 crore. TNN
