6 Micah Parsons landing spots with Cowboys trade rumors swirling

BREAKING: The Micah Parsons-Cowboys relationship has deteriorated to the point where the star pass rusher is considering drastic measures which could include a trade request or even a declaration that he is severing his relationship with the team, per multiple league sources… pic.twitter.com/7Yujmv4JQ2
The Micah Parsons saga with the Dallas Cowboys took quite a turn on Friday.
With the superstar pass-rusher looking for a new, huge contract and having heard some odd jabs from Jerry Jones before training camp, things have seemed OK for the time being.
But then? The Athletic's Dianna Russini posted this on X (formerly Twitter): "The Micah Parsons-Cowboys relationship has deteriorated to the point where the star pass rusher is considering drastic measures which could include a trade request or even a declaration that he is severing his relationship with the team, per multiple league sources familiar with the situation."
WELP. So this isn't a full on trade request, but perhaps a shot across the bow to warn the franchise to get busy getting him paid.
But if he does ask for a trade? Here are five possible destinations:
Buffalo Bills
The Bills couldn't be more all in on winning a Super Bowl. And despite the fact that Joey Bosa has joined the team, they could absolutely use another pass-rusher from the linebacker corps.
Los Angeles Chargers
Khalil Mack is still around but getting long in the tooth. Tuli Tuipulotu and his eight sacks last year could use the help. This feels like a no-brainer for Jim Harbaugh's squad.
Seattle Seahawks
Leonard Williams isn't getting any younger. Same goes for DeMarcus Lawrence. Maybe the Seahawks think about giving up a ton to lock up Parsons, which might fit their timeline.
Washington Commanders
Look: I doubt Jones wants to trade Parsons within the division and see him wreak havoc twice a year. But the Commanders could REALLY use a pass-rusher as they try to contend.
Chicago Bears
The offense? That's totally fine under Ben Johnson. But the pass rush has Montez Sweat and not a ton otherwise. The Bears could absolutely use the help from a guy like Parsons
Detroit Lions
The Super Bowl window is open in Motor City. Aidan Hutchinson is coming back from that horrible injury, so why not add another body to rush the QB?

Former Longhorn star compared to Darren Sproles

As the NFL season draws closer by the day, former Longhorn Jaydon Blue is inching closer to a career milestone. After an impressive college career with the Longhorns, the Dallas Cowboys selected Blue in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Over the last few months, he has showcased his skills and drawn comparisons to a former very successful running back. When talking about his newest running back with the media yesterday, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer had a glowing review about Blue. "He reminds me of a larger version of Darren Sproles," Schottenheimer said. "I don't use that lightly." Like Sproles, Blue can impact a game in multiple ways. The Klein Cain High School product finished his college career with 1161 rushing yards on 214 attempts. He averaged 5.4 yards a carry and shined last season when given more playing time. His impact also extended beyond the running game. When Blue wasn't moving the chains on the ground, he was a reliable weapon through the air. The Texas native hauled in 56 catches for 503 yards during his time in Austin. He also found the end zone seven times, including a career high of six during the 2024 campaign. Due to his ability to make an impact every time he was on the field, Blue's value skyrocketed leading up to the draft. If Blue comes close to matching Sproles' production, then the Cowboys will be very happy with their pick. Sproles, who was a fourth-round pick, finished his 14-year career with 3,552 rushing yards and 4,840 receiving yards. In an offense full of talent, the former Longhorn is in a great position. After arriving in Dallas with high expectations, coaches seem to like what they are seeing in the talented running back.
