Partial lineup for Wildwood New Jersey's Thunder Over the Waves Airshow announced
Thunder Over the Waves Airshow
makes its debut this September.
The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA), along with David Schultz Airshows, said the two-day show will feature 11 headlining acts and kick off on Sept. 5.
The first day of the airshow, Sept. 5, will be a practice day, while Sept. 6, will be the main event, GWTIDA announced in a news release Friday. The airshow will be four hours long and feature flyovers by the NJ Air National Guard, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, and Dover Air Force Base, and performances by the Fighter Jets Inc. MIG-17PF Jet Team, ACEMAKER Solo Aerobatic Demos in the T-33 Shooting Star, Jerry Conley in the DH-115 Vampire Jet, plus many more awe-inducing aerobatic performances, according to GWTIDA.
Guests can also witness incredible appearances by the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team and the U.S. Coast Guard.
Event organizers said the airshow is expected to boost the local economy and extend the Wildwoods' tourism season from the summer into the fall, according to GWTIDA.
While the event lineup is subject to change, here is the current timeline for the 2025 Thunder Over the Waves Airshow per GWTIDA:
But the Thunder Over the Waves Airshow isn't the only summertime event making headlines this week. Recently,
Visit Atlantic City
announced the city's airshow is back on after officials said last year the
event was canceled.
"We are reimagining this event and incorporating a festival concept. It's different than the larger airshow we put on in 2023," said Karina Anthony, the executive director of marketing for Visit Atlantic City.
Visit Atlantic City will fund their new show, which will now be called the Visit Atlantic City Soar & Shore Festival. Visit AC will partner with Herb Gillen Airshows for the big event.

Dominic Fike Trolled Sabrina Carpenter at Lollapalooza With ‘The Hate U Give' Clip
This year's Lollapalooza has come and gone, but Dominic Fike and Sabrina Carpenter are still a hot topic after they performed at the beloved Chicago-based music fest. Both artists took over the T-Mobile stage on Sunday, August 3, with the '3 Nights' musician scheduled right before Sabrina's headlining set. Ahead of her record-breaking performance, Dominic played a video of the multihyphenate from The Hate U Give. In the scene, her character, Hailey, makes a racially insensitive statement toward Amandla Stenberg's character, Starr. 'Starr, just pretend the ball is fried chicken,' she said in the clip, where tension heightened during a basketball game. In character, she walked back on her comment, saying, 'It's game talk.' Fans in the crowd erupted in cheers as soon as the 'Manchild' hitmaker's face came on screen, and following the quick clip came another video of Dominic. He jokingly said, 'I'm in the fucking game, bro, it's a game,' to clarify that he was running a bit. However, the comments section of a fan-posted video drew mixed reactions. 'Now she needs to play a clip from Euphoria lol,' one fan wrote, referring to his stint on the second season of the HBO series. Another added, 'Sabrina's fans crying in comments like it wasn't funny.' The Sabrina fans in question chimed in, saying, 'She's acting… in a movie... who does he think cares?' and 'Now why would he do this?' During The Hate U Give's theatrical release in 2018, Sabrina revealed what drew her to the project, which is based on Angie Thomas's novel of the same name. At the time, she told Hero magazine, 'I wanted to be a part of it in any way that I could, and I do know that it's such an important film for so many people.' As for her role as Hailey, Sabrina knew it would spark some controversy, adding, 'For my character specifically, the reason that this character exists – who is ignorant and doesn't recognise her privilege – she exists because there are people in the world like her. That's one of the reasons we really hope that people watch it.' During her interview for Cosmopolitan's 'The Breakdown' video series, Sabrina doubled down on that sentiment. 'I unfortunately played everyone's least favorite character,' she said, adding, 'It's one of the most incredible films I've ever gotten the chance to work on, so that was really special.' The artists—who each have songs titled 'Mona Lisa'—have yet to comment on the situation, if at all. After Dominic performed tracks like 'Babydoll' and debuted a new song, 'All Hands on Deck,' Sabrina closed out Lolla with an iconic headlining set featuring Chicago natives, Earth, Wind and Fire.

Craig Robinson Isn't Really Quitting Comedy — It's a Teaser for a New AT&T Marketing Campaign (EXCLUSIVE)
Variety The reports of Craig Robinson's retirement from comedy appear to have been greatly exaggerated. Turns out 'The Office' star's so-called 'retirement' is believed to be part of a new brand marketing campaign expected to be unleashed in the coming days — and perhaps for a division of AT&T. More from Variety 'The Office' Actor Craig Robinson Claims He's 'Officially Quitting Comedy' to Focus on His 'True Calling': 'I'm Following Something Bigger' 'The Office' Star Rainn Wilson Says the Show Was a 'Struggle' After Steve Carell Left: 'We Knew it Was Coming For a Long Time' 'The Office' Star Jenna Fischer Says a One-Word Improvisation 'Got Me' the Role of Pam: It Was 'So Scary' Teaser billboards have appeared across Los Angeles in recent weeks announcing, 'Craig Robinson is Quitting Comedy,' without any further information. A good indicator that this is part of a teaser campaign, as it is doubtful Robinson would actually spend that kind of outdoor advertising cash to reveal a career change. Those billboards were in AT&T-style blue, furthering the suspicion that this is part of a new campaign for the telco giant. Why is it believed to be AT&T? Robinson has previously starred in AT&T commercials, jokingly calling himself the company's 'Chief Technology Officer' in one AT&T Business Internet ad, alongside his former 'The Office' co-star Brian Baumgartner. Another spot featured Robinson and Baumgartner along side more 'The Office' alums, including Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, Creed Bratton and Kate Flannery. AT&T and Robinson's reps did not respond to multiple requests for comment. The 'Craig Robinson is Quitting Comedy' billboards went unreported, but then Robinson last week upped the ante by posting on his Instagram account that he had a 'Life update: I'm officially quitting comedy to focus on my true calling. Stay tuned. I'm working on something huge.' That post eventually made its way to the media, and many outlets posted Robinson's note at face value, without noting that he made is announcement with a wink and a nod. (Yes, Variety is included.) Robinson followed up that post with another video, where he made his true intentions even more clear: 'Hey guys, big shout out to all my small business owners. Hey, you guys got any advice for me while I'm trying to get my business afloat? I hit a few bumps in the road and I sure would appreciate you guys' tips.' We're guessing AT&T has some internet tips for small business owners that Robinson will be sharing in no time. Meanwhile, here's another reason it's pretty clear that Robinson isn't really quitting comedy: He's got a full slate of shows booked for the rest of the summer. Robinson is scheduled to appear at the Omaha Funny Bone club later this week, followed by a gig in Los Angeles at the Comedy Store on July 14. Next month, he has dates lined up in Orlando, Seattle, Nashville, Detroit and Toledo. He also has plenty of projects in the works too, including the Netflix animated adventure 'In Your Dreams' and 'The Bad Guys 2.'
