Morocco, North Macedonia Reaffirm Shared Willingness to Strengthen Bilateral Partnership
The two ministers highlighted the outstanding relations uniting Morocco and North Macedonia and expressed their determination to further deepen them, based on friendship, mutual respect, and shared interests.
They also emphasized their commitment to enhancing economic, trade, and cultural cooperation between the two countries by identifying high-potential strategic sectors, particularly tourism.
Driven by the common goals of Rabat and Skopje, Mr. Bourita and Mucunski agreed to strengthen political consultations and coordination within international bodies.
As part of this visit, Mr. Bourita was received in audience by the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, H.E. Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, and also held talks with the President of the Assembly MAfrim Gashi.

Egypt's PMI edges up to 49.5 in July, still below growth threshold
Arab Finance: Egypt's headline seasonally adjusted Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) reflected a marginal decline in the health of the non-oil private sector economy during July 2025, the latest S&P Global PMI data showed. The reading increased to 49.5 in July from 48.8 in June 2025, remaining below the 50.0 no-change threshold for the fifth consecutive month. Egyptian non-oil business experienced a less pronounced contraction in July, as firms reported a slight drop in both activity and new orders due to weak client demand. However, the report highlighted signs of recovery in demand that emerged in parts of the economy, particularly in services, where the overall reduction in activity was only mild. In response to higher prices and lower client spending, the new business volumes retreated for the fifth month in a row during July. Nonetheless, the downturn in sales softened amid some mentions from panelists of increased new work. The data showed that the wholesale and retail segment was the largest drag on both demand and activity in July. Regarding employment, businesses expanded their staff in July, marking the first uptick since October 2024, while cuts in purchasing softened. Job creation was backed by a slightly improved demand picture and associated pressure on business capacity, with the survey noting a rise in outstanding business for the first time since March. Meanwhile, the firms continued to cut their purchases of inputs, but the pace of decline was less pronounced than June's 11-month record. They maintained stocks of purchases at the same level as the month before, as supply chain conditions remained relatively stable. Input price pressures rose last month, with firms highlighting surging prices for a few key items such as cement, fuel and packaging. However, it remained significantly lower than the long-term trend. Business confidence slightly enhanced when compared to June's record, as companies continued to express concerns about demand strength and broader economic uncertainty. David Owen, Senior Economist at S&P Global Market Intelligence, said: 'Although the Egypt PMI stayed below 50.0 in July, indicating a worsening of non-oil business conditions, the latest survey data provided some cause for optimism.' 'Several firms reported the securing of new work, which helped to soften the rate of decline in sales. Uganda and Egypt to Boost Cooperation in Investment, Capacity Building and Water Resources Development
Uganda and Egypt have concluded the Second Round of Bilateral Consultations at Serena Hotel, Kampala, during which the two countries have agreed on a new cooperation framework to boost investment, capacity building and development of water resources. The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Henry Okello Oryem, commended the Egyptian government for excellent relations rooted in common history and shared values. He noted that over the past years, Uganda and Egypt have implemented a number of joint projects under the existing cooperation framework, and now the two countries will leverage this relationship to implement more projects of interest. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, H.E Badr Abdelatty, commended the government of Uganda for taking leadership on many fronts including promotion of regional peace and security. He said Egypt was ready to step up her cooperation with Uganda in a number of fields including protection and promotion of mutual investment, immigration, technical cooperation, capacity building, energy and agriculture. Under the new cooperation framework, Uganda and Egypt will work together to promote localization of some Egyptian industries in Uganda, especially those involved in the development of vaccines and other pharmaceutical products. Both countries will also implement a number of projects along the Nile basin. These include dam construction, ground water harvesting, mechanized irrigation and solar energy generation. The bilateral consultation meeting was also attended by Egyptian Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Prof. Hani Sewilam, and other senior officials from the Egyptian Government. Oman, Mongolia eye cooperation in energy, mining and food sectors
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia – Abdulsalam al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority (OIA), met Gombojav Zandanshatar, Prime Minister of Mongolia, in Ulaanbaatar on Monday to discuss avenues of bilateral cooperation in investment and economic sectors. Zandanshatar welcomed strengthening ties with Oman, expressing his government's interest in building a partnership based on mutual benefits. He highlighted Mongolia's openness to facilitating investment opportunities in key priority sectors. Murshidi emphasised the importance of advancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in investment and other fields of shared interest. The Omani delegation held a series of official meetings with several senior Mongolian officials, including Gongor Damdinnyam, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources; Idesh Batkhuu, Secretary-General of Ministry of Economy and Development; Bataa Ganbold, Advisor and Head of Office of Deputy Prime Minister; V Enkhbaatar, Director General of Investment and Trade Agency; and Munkhtur Togooch, Advisor to Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industries. Discussions centred on identifying opportunities in mining, energy, agriculture and food production. The meetings also explored ways to boost trade exchange, establish joint projects and create a supportive environment for long-term investment. Both sides committed to intensifying technical dialogue in the coming phase, with the aim of laying the groundwork for executive frameworks to guide bilateral cooperation. The visit reflects the shared interest of Oman and Mongolia in developing a diverse and sustainable strategic partnership.
